It can easily connect and disconnect with a click of a button, and you can seamlessly integrate it with SSO.
Have had a few instances where it was failing to connect, but this could be the fault of company network rather than the Cisco app.

AnyConnect - Best VPN Client
Commentaires : It has worked quite well for us, it is much more stable than using Meraki and the end user has fewer problems.
Avantages :
It is the simplest tool for the end user. And for administrators, it is the one that gives us the most confidence for a secure connection to the organization. Additional soon it will also be able to be used with Meraki, we liked this news a lot.
Inconvénients :
In the new versions it is no longer compatible with the ISR4000 and is only supported on ASA and Firepower. I think this is a disadvantage, since it forces you to purchase a separate device for remote connection.

Alternatives envisagées précédemment :
Easy to use for remote working
Commentaires : The scale, ease of use, ease of introduction, ease of use for users, etc., will be discussed once with the Cisco manager and the information system manager, and the above problems and issues will be resolved. We recommend that you consider the advantages.
Avantages :
You can easily create a VPN environment with a single click on your PC or smartphone. You can also easily select a server to connect to. In addition, by preparing multiple servers, even in an environment where the connection to a specific server is poor, the ability to connect to a VPN by selecting another server is also useful when using software that requires a VPN connection.
Inconvénients :
Although a VPN connection can be made, there are cases in which the communication speed drops and video conferences are interfered with.
Protects our systems & your data!
Avantages :
This became integral as we moved to work from home and I have been highly impressed by the speed at which it works and how it securely locks unauthorised users out of sensitive information/programs if they are not connected to the VPN.
Inconvénients :
Integrating this system was not the simplest process for everyone, as the authentication program/process did not work fully with all phones and if the authentication device is lost or broken, it can be difficult to transfer.
The telephone of my desk on my computer.
Commentaires : My overall experience with Cisco AnyConnect is that I used it a few times at work but today we have other resources like Teams for internal calls and meetings. When I need to make a call to the supplier, I use Whatsapp. Most of the time I use Any Connect to make international calls.
Avantages :
I like the convenience of carring my phone when I'm working from home and I can make the same calls as my desk phone.
Inconvénients :
I don't like the fact that I only use the internet to make calls on Cisco AnyConnect and sometimes have poor call quality.
It just works - intuitive, bulletproof & dependable
Commentaires : I use it daily and it simply works, as expected, all the time. Never a glitch or any issues.
Avantages :
Simple interface, intuitive to use and easy for first time users. It has enough functionality without being complex. Most of all it simply works day in day out.
Inconvénients :
Nothing. Everything works well and there is nothing I could fault. I wish all software worked this well.

Cisco AnyConnect review
Commentaires : We do have a lot of users accessing multiple environments. With Cisco we are able to easily differentiate who has access to what.
Avantages :
It's very simple and easy to use. Token management has a really good and intuitive design. You have everything explained in details.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes it can act up and disconnect, however it has the auto-reconnect function so it doesn't pose any major issues.

Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Commentaires : This software is very easy to use and the best part is as an administrator manageability is also simple, we can integrate it with AD also, further as a SSL VPN it has very very low possibilities to be blocked by ISP
Avantages :
easy to use, integration with AD, users visibility on ASA, work on windows, Android and MAC also
Inconvénients :
Troubleshooting is little tricky as DIRT logs are not very clear to troubleshoot

It guarantees safety in daily work to access the corporate network.
Commentaires : Working in the it department, it allows us to intervene quickly in case of need.
Avantages :
A very easy tool to manage. Integration with the active directory simplifies user management. The app is also available on mobile, this allows a much more effective intervention in company works.
Inconvénients :
We had some difficulties in renewing the Security certificate as we did not receive an expiry notification.

Keeps us safely connected
Commentaires : Overall it’s been a good ride. We’ve used it for years and if it wasn’t for Cisco’s ridiculous decision with their new Firepower Firewalls we’d stay the course. Oh well bring on Fortinet.
Avantages :
Pretty universal on most remote hardware. We have it deployed on iPads, chrome books, laptops, and even phones.
Inconvénients :
Can be buggy with other networking products and can mess up a computers winsock settings.
Cisco AnyConnect review
Commentaires : Great software and Cisco products are my preferred solutions in Networking
Avantages :
Cisco AnyConnect offers robust security measures to protect data and ensure secure connectionsCompatibility with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac, iOS, and AndroidThe software enables secure remote access to corporate networks
Inconvénients :
The software is providing slow performance on old devices that lead to upgrade customers devices and it's additional cost to deploy this software
Stable VPN with Cisco AnyConnect
Commentaires : We love using Cisco AnyConnect. It is trouble-free. If someone has troubles, we can do logging with it and determine where the issues are. Typically the uses are with home networks' instability rather than the software itself. The one thing Cisco can improve on is their customer support, and having account reps follow up with customers routinely.
Avantages :
Stability is marvelous. We started using Cisco AnyConnect 1+ years ago before the pandemic and had enough licenses to support the entire company. Our VPN was rock solid. When pandemic hit and we asked staff to work from home, every single person adjusted very well and were very pleased with the stability of their VPN connection.
Inconvénients :
Customer support is not the best. Fortunately, the Cisco ASA hardware and Cisco AnyConnect VPN software works so well that we didn't have to call customer support much at all. When we did call, we got limited information that required us to research more and then call support with our findings.
The VPN you need (if you need VPN)
Commentaires : Any frustrations I've ever had with AnyConnect have been due to user error - nothing about the software itself. It's a minimal pop-up window that helps me log in and make a secure connection to get my work files. After using it for a while, it becomes habit just like anything else. I don't know what it's like as an administrator, but as a user I'm fully satisfied.
Avantages :
I don't fully understand the intricacies of VPN, but I trust our organization's IT team since they say we need it. VPN lets me get the files I need from our organization's server when I'm at home, and I have to say AnyConnect makes it easy to do so. You're just a few clicks away, and it reminds you if you've disconnected after a long period of inactivity or shutting your computer off. I don't have any experience with another VPN client, but I can't imagine it being much easier than this from a user perspective.
Inconvénients :
VPN is one of those things everyone finds annoying - but they don't complain about having to login into their Facebook account. It's pretty much the same number of clicks, except you can't auto-save your password (otherwise what's the point of logging in for security reasons?) It's one more thing to remember, sure, but we learn to remember the important processes that help us get our work done.
Very useful for external computer use at home for work!
Commentaires : Really really pleased with this tool! A must have for everyone who needs to work remotely and not have to go into work to use the work computer as it allows you to get your work interface with the VPN. Definitely a must have! It is very easy to install and use. Highly highly recommend!
Avantages :
I use this tool to allow me to work remotely at home, which has been very convenient, especially during the COVID pandemic/surge. With this tool, it basically mimics your computer as a work computer so you are able to do all your work assignments from home. There is an added security for logging on so no one else can accidentally load this on your computer. I HIGHLY recommend this tool as we use this a lot at Stanford. It allows me to finish my clinic notes at home by logging on remotely.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes, the software has to be updated in order for to log on, however, there is always an automatic update search that lets me know when I need to update. There is also an option to defer the update and still log on if you are in rush. So honestly, I cannot complain about this software.
Easy software to download and install, extremely functional when securing private information
Commentaires : I work mostly from home and this software is very easy to use, to download and install. Also, it is secure and has a stable connection. It is suitable for all type of companies especially those that have remote workers. The software gives you a secure connection to work remotely and protect the privacy of the company which should be the main priority of organizations. I strongly recommend this software to companies that are starting out and want to maintain a a secure connection.
Avantages :
I use this software on a daily basis to protect my organization's private and sensitive information. I work in the healthcare industry and it is highly important to protect the patient's information. One of the features that I strongly believe helps protect the organization's sensitive information is the two factor authentication when connecting to the company's VPN, making it more secure and protecting the privacy of the company and the patients as well .
Inconvénients :
I strongly believe that the software does a fantastic job at protecting the security and privacy of organizations especially when working from home. However, I do feel that login in into the software and connecting to the company's VPN can be very tedious since it has crashed several times during my time frame using the software. Also, I do feel that the software makes my work computer work a little bit slower than usual, maybe this can be improve and optimize.
Savior in stressful Work from home times
Commentaires : I have been using this tool for almost 4 years and it has always helped me in crucial times by helping me to connect remotely during the critical presentations and in COVID situation, it has proved to be of great use.
Avantages :
Cisco Anyconnect helps me to connect to my company’s internal network in 2 steps and keeps me connected to my emails on my phone as well.
Inconvénients :
Whenever an update is done on this tool, takes me couple of reboots to get the software up and running smoothly. After that, it works like charm.

Easy, easy, easy
Avantages :
I'm not a firewall expert, but even I can get AnyConnect setup on a Cisco ASA 5XXX series in about an hour. It's a pretty straightforward process with lots of guides available. Installing it on the client is even easier, and the best part is that it's only two or three mouse clicks to get connected, so it's very easy to teach to an end user. The connection is rock solid, I've never had issues with connectivity.
Inconvénients :
Licensing anything with Cisco is confusing, and this is no exception. Even though I've done it several times, it still takes me more time than I'd care to admit to figure out the correct SKU for the software license I need. It's also annoying that many ASA's need to have a 512MB RAM stick installed before AnyConnect can be used. Configuring AnyConnect to use Radius is also pretty confusing for me, although this more a function of the ASA than AnyConnect.
The only VPN tool that just works unintrusively
Commentaires : Overall this is one of those tools that you just don't think about. It does its job and does it so well, you don't really think about it even being there. I haven't even thought about how great this performs as this review is the first time I'm thinking of this tool after using it for over six consecutive years. Can't go wrong with Cisco!
Avantages :
Everything is simple to use and simple to connect. The UI is minimal and the functionality is basic but this is exactly what every connection tool needs to have. Being lightweight, it is fast and non-intrusive. Cisco is one of the leading networking companies and they've had this little gold tool in their arsenal for years.
Inconvénients :
Nothing really, the tool works exceptionally well and given the years I've used it, I have not had any significant trouble with the tool. It works with multiple companies based on your configurations.
CiscoAnyConnect for VPN
Commentaires : It's overall a good product and I have no complaints. I look at the bottom line: can I access the shared drives at work from home? It makes this possible.
Avantages :
My organization uses Cisco for our VPN services. They provide a very simple setup script which gives us all the setting we need. It works quickly to load, and is very reliable. I am a worker who like to do remote work when possible; having a VPN access is a lifesaver.
Inconvénients :
My biggest con of the software is that I would have no idea how to adjust settings if I needed to. I'm sure I could figure it out, but that aspect is not user friendly. It may be that our admins do not want to share that piece with general users. In an older version I could not get it to cooperate with my home printer. The latest versions have been flawless there.
Amazing Product
Commentaires : Cisco AnyConnect is doesn't have any issues - once I connect in the morning - connection is stable till end of day. There are no differences in my computer performance - everything works as fast and secure as if I was in the office. This was not case at my past employments using different connections. Connection would often get lost, and would take a while to disconnect. It is also 100% secure.
Avantages :
Cisco AnyConnect is fantastic. I used a number of other software at my previous jobs for VPN connection, and they were always faulty, I would often loose connection every few hours, it would take long to connect, sometimes several tries, which could be very annoying if you have a meeting or a deadline.
Inconvénients :
I have not experienced any issues with Cisco AnyConnect.
Easy and Fast VPN
Commentaires : Cisco AnyConnect has been a stable VPN solution for our organization. We use multiple instances of the software and it works very well for us currently.
Avantages :
Easy to setup and use. Quick VPN Connections. VPN speed is acceptable. Multi platform support is a big plus. Connection is always stable.
Inconvénients :
Location select option is not available. Pricing is higher than the competition. Disconnections happen when multiple users connect.
A Standard for VPN Client
Commentaires : Overall, it's very easy to use, reliable and well-protected.
Avantages :
I have been using this AnyConnect VPN for about 8 years and I have always been satisfied with the product. I mostly do VPN to my school domain or my server. AnyConnect is a reliable product to do my job. The speed is amazing, and the layer level of protection is about right. Recently, they just added one more level of protection with mobile phone DUO. I think is a right move which adds on protection without much hassle.
Inconvénients :
Cisco AnyConnect doesn't have any problem! Even if I'm away for the computer a long time, VPN stills connects. They must better communication between the personnel that makes the changes in the VPN server and the final user of the application. Sometimes I found the mismatch between them.
VPN Apps are Notoriously Frustration, but Cisco AnyConnect is Fairly Good
Avantages :
AnyConnect is faster and less frustrating than other VPN or remote clients that I've used. Normally, latency, long delays, and repeated attempts to remotely complete a task are the norm, but I've had very little of that with AnyConnect. And, when I do encounter it, it's often the fault of my (often spotty) remote Internet connection. It's not reasonable to blame AnyConnect for bad, slow, or unreliable Internet. When my connection is decent, it doesn't let me down.
Inconvénients :
I'm always concerned about information security when I'm using these kinds of clients. They're often done from insecure Wifi when traveling. I'd love to learn more about what Cisco has put in place to ensure that none of the information or work completed gets compromised.
Defacto standard for VPN works nearly flawlessly
Commentaires : just works. always, anytime, every time.
Avantages :
Compared to other Mac VPN packages I've used, AnyConnect is so easy. As a user, you can connect anywhere to get your work done. AnyConnect has never crashed, and is so reliable even if the internet connection is not. I rely on AnyConnect to get my work done and I truly appreciate not needing to drive into the office. I can leave work on time, and finish up in the evening after kids are in bed.
Inconvénients :
On VERY unreliable internet connections, AnyConnect will give the impression you are still connected when the connection has indeed gone done. It will sometimes be able to auto -reconnect your VPN, but not always. In those cases, you need to close and restart once you stabilize your wifi. (Move closer, etc.)
Average VPN software
Commentaires : Overall, I think this is an average software because there are many other better VPN software options in the market.
Avantages :
This software is easy to set up and use with a simple user interface for the everyday user. For an expert user there are advanced settings and statistics that can provide good details about connection issues in case troubleshooting is needed.
Inconvénients :
There are two issues I faced with this software: 1. If a connection is cancelled while a connection is being made then the only way to get the software working is to stop and start the anyconnect service again which is a pain in the rear. 2. When I go to a new location I have to select the new wifi connection - wish anyconnect would auto select wifi (known) connections.
Disconnects Randomly, Horrible User Experience on Mac
Commentaires : Poor user experience, I waste too much time getting logged off and trying to log back in. When VPN disconnects, it logs me out of all of our connected work servers, so every time this happens (which is 2-3 times a day), I have to log in to each server again.
Avantages :
There is absolute nothing that is a "Pro" about Cisco AnyConnect on a Mac workstation. It constantly "loads" essentially disconnecting me from all my connected network servers during the work day, every single day.
Inconvénients :
Working at home during COVID-19 has made me realize that our company VPN software does not work well on Mac workstations. It constantly disconnects, although i've tried various work locations with my home, and causes unnecessary time spent logging in and restarting my workstation.
