Essential service for our business

Avantages :

Site24x7 has been an essential service for our business for the last five years. Solid, consistent service at a great price. Love the flexible, inexpensive notifications.

Inconvénients :

Almost too many features for our small company, but I'd rather have too many features than missing features.

Commentaires : In general it's a pretty good tool that I woul recommend to look at, if you need standard (e.g. OS type monitoring) and to me works like an addon to other monitoring software such as New Relic, SQL Monitor with their own specific pros and cons ...

Avantages :

Ability to keep good track of your estate with detailed alerting and notificions through a number of channels (text, voice, email etc.) depending on the priority or environment. Really helps to judge wheather something is going on production which need's immediate attention or let the alert be for a while when CPU consumtion on test is a bit high, that doesn't require immediate attention.

Inconvénients :

It's pretty hard to implement standard build plugins or even implement your own custom build plugins. This has everything to do the way things are meassured and the way thresholds and availability checks are setup. You could endup with a bunch of false possitives during the night .... It would help a lot if this was documented better or explained in a training of some kind.

Commentaires : It's one of the best products in IT in general: it's well done, stable, efficient. The architecture is great and has a good maintenance. No problem in more than 5 years. Congratulations!

Avantages :

It's accurate, simple and efficient. It's huge and well done. Monitor everything in the infrastructure and being the first who knows about any problem.

Inconvénients :

The graphical Dashboard of the monitored devices. It's like a cheap Java.

Pourquoi choisir Site24x7 : Site24x7 is much better and accurate. Simple deployment, the interface is designed for what you see is what you get. The free version was a fantastic start.

Great Monitoring Solution

* Ease of Use * can set a custom http rersponse code for success, on other solution not or even harder to implement * Really nice reporting * really good documentation

Great alternative to Dynatrace

Commentaires : Setup was smooth, technical support during evaluation period is efficient, and the tool does what I expected it to do: helping us in monitoring our infrastructure.

Ease of installation, automatic status page

Inconvénients :

I did not find a lot of added value to the Site24x7 agent compared to AWS connection

It's got everything!

Avantages :

We can get into granular detail and see what's going on on all the endpoints, servers, websites, device etc and it auto heals them with IT Automation plus comes with an awesome NOC view. Good Stuff

Inconvénients :

Its got a bit of a learning curve to it.

Robust monitoring solutions provider

Avantages :

user friendly interface, bug free agents and always up and running dashboards.

Inconvénients :

SSO/SAML Integration the worst part. They have to provide seamless integration with Azure AD or other SAML authentication.

One stop shop for all your monitoring needs.

Avantages :

Monitor creation! Implmentation was super easy, we just had to give the url for our APIs and the website, and there are multiple monitor options to choose from. Also, it was easy to integrate with our Alerting app Pagerduty. We have set up daily monitors and checks on website and API.

Inconvénients :

Learning curve is steep for this tool. It takes time to set up the monitor first time.

Nothing really to Complain about. It just works

Avantages :

Easy Integration. Up and Running in an instant. Whole thing was set up for the whole website and support servers in less than an hour.

Inconvénients :

The german translation could be a little bit better. it's not bad it's just a bit funny or unusual at some points.

Effective server monitoring, easy to deploy and manage.

Commentaires : We needed an cost effective solution for monitoring our servers and applications. Site24x7 proved to be a good choice that fit our needs.

Avantages :

Very easy to deploy, manage and monitor a server, its services and applications. Monitoring alerts can be sent to a phone, text, email or browser.

Inconvénients :

When a server goes down, it may take manual intervention to recognize that it back in service. Would like to see that issue fixed.

Good out of the box solution.

Commentaires : It works great out of the box, super easy to setup, and support has always been VERY fast to respond to, and fix any issues we've had.

Avantages :

The site is easy to use and setup is a breeze. We use it to monitor servers, networks and websites. I like that it automatically adds numerous monitors for other server roles when the agent is installed (SQL, IIS, etc etc).

Inconvénients :

I think the only thing is is lacking, is a more robust granular alerting system. That being said, it offers what I think are similar options as all of it's competitors, and most of the time you need a 3rd party service to have SUPER granular alert setups.

Good monitoring tool for our Internet, Web Apps, and serrvers

Commentaires : Good experience. We use it just for the monitoring of our critical servers and applications. We get notified almost as soon as outages happen and we also get another notification when the app/ site is back up online.

Avantages :

I like that we receive the alerts as soon as any of the critical servers and apps go offline. It also alerts us when our main Internet connection is down.

Inconvénients :

It is very hard to recover the password once the person who set up the service is no longer with the organization. This has happened to me and I had to ask the ex-employee for the code he received on his phone to be able to recover the password. The customer service can't do much to try to verify that you are another employee and try to help you with resetting the password in any other way.

Commentaires : Overall we are very happy with this product and all the different options offered by it. We recommend it to any IT personnel.

Avantages :

We have been using Site 24x7 for about 10 years. We are very happy with the features it has to offer, which are way too much more than what we need.

Inconvénients :

The price is a bit high for the amount of monitors that we need. Sometimes, we set the monitor not to alert us (scheduled maintenance, service restarts) and we still get the notifications, meaning credits are used.

Excellent Monitoring Tool for all types of Deployments

Commentaires : So far there is no issue with Site24x7 and having a great experience since day 1.

Avantages :

Site24x7 is loaded with very useful features. Some of the greatest features are multi cloud management, automated reportings, automation templates, custom integrations, multiple notification mediums and much more.

Inconvénients :

Need more visibility on license usage. License consumption and availability report will be very helpful.

Avantages :

Alerting with sms and telephone call world wide. good overview of what is going on in you environment. clickpath monitoring of you websites. very powerfull, you can even upload your own services to monitor. Perfect tool

Inconvénients :

When you get a phone call that a server of services is down. IT is some times hard to understand what the computer is saying. When you get the call in the middel of the night, is it's good that is starts by saying "this is site24x7 bla bla bla" but in the daytime is would be nice that the message is a little bit shorter and to the point.

Commentaires : Very easy to monitor all our current infrastructure and implement it with StatusIQ for automated status page, where we have all the incidents fully automated.

Avantages :

Site24x7 has one of the most advanced configurations. You can basically monitor anything you want - from servers to IoT devices.You can also very easy integrate everything you monitor to their StatusIQ - status page application.

Inconvénients :

Due to the many options and configurations you can make, sometimes it's hard to find "what is where".

Commentaires : Better TAT, no need to have eyes on glass on multiple tools , no siloed approach for incident management.

Avantages :

APM, observability, monitoring and its integration with all platforms to collect logs and convert to tickets through ITSM tool integration.
