Avantages :

The Trailblazer Community provides forums, user groups, and events for networking and support. Additionally, Trailhead offers free, interactive learning modules for users of all skill levels.

Inconvénients :

Having a hard time finding some of the features I typically use and sometimes have to default back to classic but after a little more training I should have the hang of it.

Commentaires : My overall experience with the Salesforce Platform has been highly positive, marked by its extensive capabilities and flexibility. The initial learning curve was steep, but resources like Trailhead and the supportive Trailblazer Community made the journey smoother. Salesforce’s customizability stands out, allowing tailored solutions with custom objects, fields, and page layouts. Development tools like Apex and Lightning Components, along with robust automation features such as Process Builder and Flow, significantly enhance productivity by streamlining business processes. Integration capabilities are strong, though complex integrations can require substantial effort. The user interface, particularly with Lightning Experience, is modern and user-friendly, and the mobile app adds valuable flexibility. However, occasional UI inconsistencies between Classic and Lightning can be confusing. Performance is generally reliable, with minimal downtime, although peak times can sometimes cause slowdowns. Salesforce’s security measures, including data encryption and user permissions, provide confidence in data safety. While Salesforce can be costly, especially for smaller businesses, the platform's extensive features and scalability justify the investment by delivering a strong return through improved efficiency and data-driven insights. Commentaires : Overall, our experience has been good. All levels of our company find the software useful, and believe it can more than meet any of our needs. It will require atleast one person who is not afraid to tinker, and having a go to partner to handle any advanced needs on an hourly basis is a must. As with all systems it takes time and effort, but we feel good about our purchase and havent considered moving to anything else since.

Avantages :

Salesforce is the most custimizable CRM I have encountered thus far. It is built on "objects" that can be cusomized almost anyway you wish. These come "out of the box", can be professionally built (for a fee), or you can build items yourself. I was unsure if this CRM would fit a small company like ours (<10M in sales), but the basic licenses meet our needs both for operations and sales. The plus for us is knowing this platform can grow with us over time.

Inconvénients :

Salesforce is not intuitive....at all. We had great frustration in our rollout as we felt we could manage any user challenges we encountered, but this was not the case in the beginning. While the company can grow with you, their is also no limit to what they can charge haha. You must choose your deployments carefully and consider the cost benefit analysis.

S*** Show - Run far and run fast if your company is looking to use Salesforce

Commentaires : No support. More bugs then features. The system works decent for quoting but getting information or support is a laughable concept.

Avantages :

It seems well done. Everything looks professionally made but this software is user-enemy number 1. No support. The worst part is they have links that say "help or support?" that are dead links. It's so bad it's almost feels like it should be a joke.

Inconvénients :

Careful sending mass emails. It will create a task for every email sent that CAN NOT be mass deleted. So if you send out 300 emails you will flood your task section with 300 tasks that need to be individually deleted. This is system is a nightmare. This app is taking 1 step forward and 4 steps back. I feel really bad for the developers who had to put their name on this app.

Commentaires : My overall experience with Salesforce was positive, it may have had a hard learning curve but it was worth while for my company to switch over.

Avantages :

What I liked most about Salesforce was how easy it was to integrate with other applications that my company uses. This gave us something our previous CRM didn't.

Inconvénients :

The cons about Salesforce was how difficult it was to navigate the UI. I've heard good things about the UI, but my own experience with it was overwhelming, as there was so much going on at all times.

Selected platform for our business processes

Commentaires : We decided upon a platform approach for digitizing our business processes. We went though a significant procurement exercise to identify the most appropriate tool based upon our business requirements and salesforce was the decided solution. We initially implemented on one key process within the organisation and then have prioritized and adopted other key business processes as we mature using the system.

Avantages :

Our approach means that we have all key business processes (and subsequent data) in one location. This also provided consistency in approach and allows us to transform our processes as we adopt onto Salesforce. The tool itself is incredibly flexible and powerful, and has never failed to meet our needs.

Inconvénients :

Development / developers need to be expert in Salesforce code, a non-technical user is not able to configure the system, even with 'easy' requirements. It's not a massive issue BUT one that small/medium size organisations need to plan for.

Salesforce as a User

There is a lot of data that you can get access to within the salesforce platform, and the customization works well for integration

Inconvénients :

As a user who is not in there every day, the new lightening platform is awkward and difficult to find anything. We often have to change the view to the old view to find anything and that should not be the case.

An Expensive, but useful tool. The leatherman of software

Commentaires : Used at 3 companies across six years. Sales tools + Service cloud have been used along with platform itself. The fundamental tools it gives you to model your organizations data, integrate external data sources, and enable end users to interact with that data are very impressive. You are limited only by your budget + development staff/implementation.

Avantages :

- Reporting is first in class.- Ability/speed to implement new views for a specific team or use case is excellent.- Extent to which other platforms we use can be integrated with Salesforce.- Ease of user/permissions management.- Their product documentation is industry leading. If you need to use a new feature, or just brush up on an old one, as either an admin or an end user, the documentation on trailhead will both tell, and show you how to use it.

Inconvénients :

- High cost per license per user.- Implementation is key. It can be costly if you don't have an admin in house, or if you have a very complex business process you want to model in Salesforce. - Integrations with other data sources easily to enrich/link fundamental data + gain insights into data.

Commentaires : All in one data capture tool to collaborate between teams and regions in an organization.

Avantages :

Easy to view, filter cases and update accordingly. Automatically sends email when changes are made. Can track inventory, issues, cases, business opportunities all in one place.

Inconvénients :

Heavy platform for some simple tasks. Also would be better if layout is simplified.

Commentaires : I love salesforce and the ease of info tracking and email sending. It is reliable and always has accurate information. Salesforce has many uses.

Avantages :

It is easy to keep track of tasks, leads, opps etc I love how we can open multiple pages on one page and we do not have to open a different tab.

Inconvénients :

How it signs out after a while, but this is okay it is one click to sign back in.

Commentaires : Salesforce Platform changed how we see and work between the Sales and Production teams. We are now on the same page in all aspects of projects.

Avantages :

The key aspect of Salesforce that I like most is that it makes it easy for various departments to know and track the status of opportunities and projects through various stages of development. We can also keep track of every contact both on the client side and production side. We can monitor all of the projects they are connected to, rates, and ratings.

Inconvénients :

The only negative aspect of the platform is the cost. It can be restrictive for smaller projects and when I need to add more users/managers. I need to double check if budgets can handle more ongoing costs with the addition of new clients and projects.

The Salesforce Platform is a flexible structure that allows for data collection, organization, reporting, and analysis to be configured to our organizations changing needs.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it is difficult to get good reporting and dashboards set up and we need the assistance of SF trained specialists to surveil the account.

I love how they have turned a database program into an interactive place where companies can create a singular source of truth surrounding every aspect of business operations.

Inconvénients :

Some limitations are common sense additions that have been neglected in favor of flashy, new features. Reporting is limited and has many issues, one of which is they barely support it currently with little/no improvements while pushing users towards their Analytics Add-On - which has many improvements that were requested on Reports.

Customisable Platorm for Enterprise business needs

Commentaires : Excellent experience with Salesforce for our complex business needs.
Meets our current and future platform strategy alongside having Salesforce themselves drive forward into new functionality and technology.

Avantages :

The platform is hugely scalable and adaptable for the majority of business needs. Our requirement for business process automation and data integration is complex and not met by the majority of providers. The Salesforce platform is integral to our strategy and meets both our current and near future needs.

Inconvénients :

The scale of the platforn does require the correct knowledge to get the most out of it. Whilst its plug & play for basic reuqirements, for anyone with a good level of systems ecperience, to get a complex use case designed and built and maintained requires significant investment.
