Lost without it!

Commentaires : Supermetrics is one of the strongest players in the market and my recommended data connector.

Avantages :

As a marketing analyst Supermetrics simplifies reporting and gives me abs my teams more time to analyze the data for key results and action items.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally the connectors will time out or break. The Supermetrics support team is always available to help troubleshoot and remedy the issues.

Great tool for data in marketing but too expensive for small business

It great data quality. Its the top tool in the market for data in marketing. Integrations and addon for sheet is easy to use.

Inconvénients :

Pricing is too high for small business. They don't do discounts.

Commentaires : Frustrating and slow. We never attained the level of insight or tracking that we hoped, and after we had the tool set up we still had to manually track and record performance data. If this tool cost 1/3 of what they charge it might be worth it, but Supermetrics is right in the middle: It tries to do too much and makes it messy and not user-friendly; and it tries to be easy to use, which makes the messiness of the tool harder to control. It will add hours and sap dollars.

Avantages :

It does mostly do what it purports to: takes data from different sources and blends them into a Data Studio dashboard. In general, that is possible with this tool.

Inconvénients :

Messy data - connecting new channels creates multiple different sources, and pulls in tons of data automatically that you don't need or requires you to manually sort through the list of data to select. Not efficient. Not the easiest set up - if you're hoping to get more team members onboard as users, they had better have some background in data. Pricing - Going off the above, I thought the price point was worth it because of the ease of use. But with the messiness and overall "hacked together" feeling of the tool, the justification for the price is lost. Social tracking - Social media tracking is incomplete and never provided what my team wanted from it. We ended up tracking IG stories with UTM tags and maintaining our own creative performance charts.... because that manual work was easier (possible) than using Supermetrics. Customer Support - Neither me nor my team used supermetrics for a couple of months, and came to the conclusion that it doesn't suit our needs and doesn't provide all the power and insight it claimed to. I emailed support to cancel. It took them days to respond - coincidentally, they didn't answer until the day after that month's auto-pay went through. When they did respond they pointed to their terms of service, which had updated dramatically at some point during my contract, and said they aren't going to cancel. Not being able to cancel a tool that doesn't work for you should disqualify it from consideration in your techstack.

Good for building web dashboard

Commentaires : Overall good tool but could improve with offering more integrations.

Avantages :

The connectors it has to several platforms and also the predefined dashboards that allow you to pull data from different data sources like FB/GA etc in a very easy way and the plug it into nice dashboards. Price wise is very competitive.

Inconvénients :

I missed connectors to ecommerce platforms like Shopify or magento as it will be very useful for ecommerce users to add that data to do analysis. i also did not like that data only refreshes automatically every day, if not you need to do it manually.

Commentaires : My overall experience has been very positive, as a marketing analyst this product is a lifesaver

Avantages :

It makes pulling data so easy and replicable. You can also set it to refresh on a daily/weekly/monthly cadence which saves me so much time and energy. I love being able to log in to tableau and see all of my dashes automatically updated each morning.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the connection to Facebook breaks and I need to go in and manually pull a refresh. Also a bit costly.

Analyzing my marketing strategies efficiently

Commentaires : The ability to connect all my data sources on the same platform and use it to generate custom reports has been a real boon to my day-to-day work, and I've been able to save a significant amount of time that was previously spent trying to collect data from multiple sources.

Avantages :

What I love the most is the ease with which I can track and analyze my marketing data on a single platform and thanks to this tool, I can seamlessly connect to all my marketing data sources like Google Analytics, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads, all in one place, which means I no longer have to spend hours trying to combine and analyze information from multiple sources.

Inconvénients :

I have noticed that sometimes there can be issues with loading some data sources and also sometimes I would like a little more control and flexibility in the report templates.

The easiest way to get metrics from almost all channels in one place. A perfect partner to Google Sheets or Data Studio.

Best Decision For Dashboards + Ongoing Reporting

Commentaires : Overall I'm very happy with Supermetrics and the pros far outweigh the cons. It has become a critical tool in my day to day marketing & management toolbox.

Avantages :

I like that Supermetrics for sheets integrates seamlessly with Google Data Studio allowing me to supercharge my reporting capabilities. I am able to pull data from multiple sources and refresh it daily making sure all stakeholders have up-to-date relevant data at all time.

Inconvénients :

There are a few reporting features I would like to see like reports via labels for Google Ads and Facebook customer conversions could be simplified.

Excellent Reporting with actionable insights

Commentaires : I was able to analyze different segment from all our marketing channels, automate reporting & prioritize tasks better.

Avantages :

This is without a doubt the best tool I've tested to compare & view data from different sources and it only gets better with time. - Perfect integration with all our marketing channels - Flexible reporting & automation (saves time) - Easy to use to create tables & dashboards

Inconvénients :

- It's expensive (with all the extra add-ons ) - Gathering data takes time (from different API's)

Supermetrics for Data Studio

Avantages :

Connecting data sources to Google Data Studio for reporting is difficult when you have to setup so many API connectors for each client on each platform. Supermetrics makes this process simple. I love it!

Inconvénients :

Pricing could be lower considering the no-touch service they provide. Hard to justify the cost relative to the service offered.

Essential for your Google Data Studio Reports

Commentaires : An essential, really, so have to recommend it if you are a digital agency. Some rough edges, as with any product, need to be sanded, is all.

Avantages :

The fact that it can bring various third party data into non-Google products in a Data Studio dashboard is a major plus. We cannot have our Data Studio Dashboards functioning without Supermetrics support.

Inconvénients :

Connectors break way too often than we'd like. Sometimes data fields etc get deprecated or connectors require reauthorization - all without warning which is less than ideal. A more robust update process might be ideal.

Commentaires : Overall, its smooth easy to use and well support across reporting platforms. But I would benefit from more guides and support documents

Avantages :

The best things about Supermetrics is the simple connection to Looker Studios and Google Sheets. It can fetch Google Analytics data right to that platform, no exports or playing around with formats.

Inconvénients :

There is not the most robust set of guides or support available on all functions. Maybe this is because they would need constant updating, but I do feel I don't know what I don't know about the platform.

Supermetrics Review.

Commentaires : Overall I would recommend Supermetrics to others.

Avantages :

We primarily use Supermetrics as an integration connector for Google Data Studio. We have also used it as a google sheets integration. Both have worked very well for us. It’s an intuitive set up and the data is reliable and automatically refreshes.

Inconvénients :

The pricing plan, you used to be able to pay per individual connector. I believe they now have tiers for the google sheets integration.

Good tool for extracting multiple data sets from multiple data sources

Inconvénients :

Sometimes can be prone to errors, would like a few more connectors available. Socialbakers etc.

Big expectations but big failure

Commentaires : So yeah, we in the organisation and I in particular had high expectations. I told people who were reliant on the dashboard that with the help of Supermetrics our dashboards would kick ass. That was a mistake.

Avantages :

The promises were big, but they were not kept. Link any data source to your Google Data Studio reports, that's awesome. However, following all guides multiple times it turned out it's not that easy and I'm not even sure it's my fault

Inconvénients :

So yeah onboarding is a mess. You have your account, you have teams you have licenses you add to team members, you have your sources accounts that you link to your teams. That's a big mess. Then you have to link your Supermetrics account to your data sources in Google Data Studio, and even though you've paid the hefty price of 100$ (but it's reasonable I must admit), it says your trial has expired. Uhm, what?

Commentaires : Very good. Would highly recommend as it really automates and drops a lot of drag in reporting.
In terms of data privacy, there might be some scrutiny or assurance needed from Supermetrics/

Avantages :

Used the free trial. Supermetrics is amazing. It connects to all the major players to get the extremely valuable data dumps. Connect this to Google data studio or equivalent and reporting is automatically done.

Inconvénients :

There is a cost involved, which makes sense. The cost model might not be simple to understand due to cap to calls and such. Might be harder for C-suites to understand (That was my experience). Data privacy wise as well might be an issue. I had left my previous company before all this got checked

Simplifying and empowering my marketing analytics

Commentaires : This tool has greatly simplified my marketing analytics by centralizing data from different platforms in one place. Now I can easily extract the data I need and generate custom reports in a matter of minutes.

Avantages :

What I like about this platform is its extensive integration with 80+ sales and marketing platforms. I no longer have to spend time and effort trying to extract data from different tools, everything is in one place. In addition, the is very easy to use, which allows me to generate reports and analysis quickly and efficiently.

Inconvénients :

What I did not like so much, would be the cost of the tool. While I understand that it provides significant value and saves me a lot of time analyzing data, the price may be a bit high for some users, especially a small business or entrepreneur.

Best Paid Data Import Tool for Google Data Studio

Commentaires : Currently the best in its field for out of network data imports.

Avantages :

Has the most data import options compared to its competitors. Metrics and features available for import were bare-bones but mostly what I clients needed.

Inconvénients :

Limited features and only used in niche circumstances for data imports. Google could easily make their own native import tools.

Cheaper and better support options available

Avantages :

Easy to set up the free trial, many data sources available.

Inconvénients :

The free trial can't be modified!! Basically I had to wait for the free trial to finish to stop pushing data to my Google Analytics account. Customer service replied "There is no way of modifying the free trial uploader configuration". Terrible. I had to follow up asking the date when that was expiring.
