Un outil de visio peu performant

Avantages :

C'est une solution libre, qui permet de faire quasiment tout ce qui est nécessaire : présentation, partage d'écran, visio, appel audio, chat.

Inconvénients :

Nombreux bugs, avec des utilisateurs qu'on n'entend pas, qui ne nous voient pas, des partages d'écran qui plantent, des options qui manquerait, comme pouvoir mettre en silencieux quelqu'un d'autres.

Il beug parfois. On doit le fermer et le réouvrir pour qu'il refonctionne ou éteindre et rallumer l'ordinateur

Commentaires : It is very useful for quick meetings as we don't need to download or launch a dedicated software, which often hangs the system. It allows us to record meetings with the in-built recorder. Therefore, we don't need to download third-party software to record meetings. Its UI is very easy to use and friendly, so none of our clients hesitate to join our monthly meetings.

Avantages :

Jitsi is the best open-source and free video conferencing tool. Where every tool in the market charges a lot just to provide some basic features, it comes with all of the advanced features yet at no cost. We don't need to create an account either; we just need to give a name to our meeting and it'll generate a link for us to share it with the other participants to join. The audio and video output are in high definition quality. Meetings can be embedded almost everywhere or can be integrated with any other software. The UI is neat, and there is a big community backing it if anything unpleasant occurs. This ultimate free tool comes with a bundle of advanced features: live screen presentation, live public and private chat, security option, noise suppression, audio-video sharing, live streaming, etc.

Inconvénients :

There are a few drawbacks, which I realized. There is a limit of 100 participants. It won't help if an organization needs to have more than 100 people at a conference. As it doesn't require an account to begin with a meeting, sometimes random people join a meeting if one forgets to set a meeting password. Sometimes voices begin to break for all of the participants if End-to-End Encryption is turned on.

Commentaires : I really enjoy Jitsi meet, because it is available for free with HD quality Audio, Video, Screen Sharing and chat. For development purposes, it facilitates API to integrate Jitsi with your own product.

Avantages :

While conferencing with colleges, if the meeting moderator left from the meeting, it automatically assigns anyone to a moderator. It will not end the meeting if the moderator left from the meeting. Another impressive feature is that you can record entire conference or meeting sessions. Along with screen sharing, private chat while conferencing and live chat, it provides high-quality audio and video streaming.

Inconvénients :

Of all the features, only they do not support remote access control for the web version, but that is not a major problem. I understand that providing remote access control for the web is not feasible when considering security.

Avantages :

I have been using this software for my online classes. It allows you to connect with several people one at a time. It also has options to share messages with the participants.

Inconvénients :

One of the major lacking in jitsi is that it crashes alot and sometimes it does not connect you in the meeting. It does not allow screen sharing options and also do not allow you to share documents. There are better options available in market that have better features in terms of video conferencing an

Commentaires : My overall experience has been quite satisfying and good and I always found this app upto mark in the area of virtual meeting world.

Avantages :

Safety features and easy access are most liked features as i don't even require to login to join a meeting and I simply join by joining link and private password.

Inconvénients :

I didn't found any lacunae in this app as its safe, secure and end to end encrypted security feature app which also protects privacy of people and professions.

The only VC that respects its users security.

The only solution on the market that is : - Freely and independently auditable for highest security standards (open source) - Server can be installed on premises if cloud does not offer enough privacy - Perfecly works on Linux/Mac/Win/Android/IOS - Do no require you to register/login or send you personal data before using the service. (Does not track you) Interesting features: - Can focus clients on the users that speaks (voice detection on microphone). - Since it can be installed on premises, it's possible to have very low latency. Additionally, it's totally free and open source. Best value in 2020.

Inconvénients :

- Some problems with Firefox when presenter, but works with Chrome. FF ok if just client. - Not possible to resize webcam incrustation when sharing screen. (Just on or off).

Jitsi or not jitsi

Commentaires : It is very convenient. You can set up a room send the link and start a meeting in a matter of minutes

Avantages :

It is a videoconference platform. What is great is that you do not have any software to download. You just have to create a room, send the link to the people who must attend the meeting et voila ! The communication is crypted. You can share screen and there is a chat box. It is easy to select the speakers and the microphone in use

Inconvénients :

Compare to other videoconference plateform or software, jitsi miss the possibility to organize independant rooms or a virtual whiteboard. You cannot also record it. It is better to use it on Google. Sometime you loose connection or cannot hear someone that neet to reload the browser

Commentaires : I don't see what sets Jitsi apart from its competitors, but it has all the functions you want in a meeting app.

Avantages :

Does the job - sometimes have connection problems, but I use Jitsi integrated in third-party app so I do not know which app causes the connection problems. It has all the basic functionality - muting, sharing meeting link, screensharing, easy to use mobile app, ...

Inconvénients :

I would like the functionality to share the full screen instead of only individual windows. I assume this will be implemented some day.

Commentaires : In general, it was good, it was one of the first options that we used in the company in the 2000s and it always met our expectations.

Avantages :

There is no limit of participants! Which made things very easy, since there was no need to go around filtering people or leaving them out. It's a very simple and intuitive interface, there is no way to get lost

Inconvénients :

It got stuck in time, it has few features which makes it "boring" compared to current competition.

Avantages :

Very easy to just hop in a call with anyone that has a browser.

Inconvénients :

By default, screen sharing framerate is very low (5 fps) but you can usually set it higher in the settings.

Commentaires : Die Jitsi Software ist ausgezeichnet, sie sollte jedoch in der EU selbst gehostet werden. Es gibt auch Anbieter, die Jitsi in der EU hosten, einer davon ist fairkom, der eine leistungsfähige Videobridge Infrastruktur betreibt und mit fairmeeting "jitsi-as-a-Service" inklusive Telefoneinwahl oder Recording im Portfolio hat.

Avantages :

Jitsi besticht durch eine einfache Handhabung - die URL ist einfach der Raumname. Der Funktionsumfang entspricht gängigen anderen Videokonferenzsystemen, inklusive Hintergrundbild oder Breakoutrooms. Es muss nichts installiert werden, aber es gibt auch Apps für Smartphone oder Desktop wenn Jitsi häufig verwendet wird.

Inconvénients :

Die Ursprünge der Entwicklung von Jitsi sind zwar in Europa, aber es wurde von 8x8 in den USA übernommen und der Servcie wird über AWS Infrastruktur betrieben. Auch sind Google Analytics oder CallStats als externe Dienste aktiviert, die IP Adressen auswerten. Somit ist der Service meet.jit.si nicht DSGVO konform.

Avantages :

It is a wonderful function that allows screen sharing, person to person interactions, dial-in services - the quality is good and it will revert to audio only if the connection drops down. The best part is feeling secure because the titles of the rooms can be randomized words and it just feels like only people that need to be involved would ever think of.

Inconvénients :

The new update did something, where sometimes I have to click the camera twice to get it to not black screen, but beyond that it's been great.

Avantages :

Jitsi wird bei uns zur Kommunikation innerhalb der Abteilung benutzt. Tägliche Standups. Dafür ist es super einfach zu handhaben

Große Meetings oder gar Videochats mit vielen Teilnehmern überfordern das System

Commentaires : Overall this is good application and user friendly, easy to use.

Avantages :

audio and video quality is awesome. It is suitable for online conferences,classes in the case of lockdown due to corona outbreak , which helps for classes to be continued .No registration is required , just creak a room and anyone with the link can join. best part is we can share the screen and present it to others.

Inconvénients :

There is no option to share files. Negative point is that anyone can control the meeting,anyone can mute all other participants,anyone can be admin .

Commentaires : We changed after a few months of testing. The rooms ended up giving failure and the number of participants was limited

The ability to create permanent meeting rooms to which users can connect automatically and without permission without the need to send an invitation and renew

It is not a very widespread application and its use is limited to regular users within an organization, compared to more common options to meet with clients.

Daily communication - Slow

Commentaires : It is good overall but it is not the best. It is a bit outdated.

Avantages :

I have used Jitsi to communicate with coworkers and family It is a good tool and we like it very much but there are others that have replaced it technologically.

Inconvénients :

We can´t send gifs with it and it is quite limited in other aspects as well. It makes it hard to send certain types of files.

Avantages :

The fact that you can start videochat without an account is very nice for communicating with different clients

Secure Video Meetings

Commentaires : Used by those people who are concerned about big-tech or servers outside of the EU, Jitsi is easy to use and the UX is ok if not stellar. Still it's free and does the job needed

Avantages :

Easy to use as a user - my colleagues who set up the meetings where we use Jitsi say it's not so good as an administrator but I can't say. User experience is OK - not as smooth as some other platforms though

Inconvénients :

Often problems where someone in the meeting suddenly is "kicked out" of the meeting or their sound or video doesn'T work. This only happens when using the online version, not with the app...

I personally had a bad experience when a partner sent me a link for a meeting and when I connected 5 min prior to the scheduled time I ended up joining another meeting that was being wrapped up and it was quite awkward

Cheap solution, hard to deploy

Commentaires : We're using jitsi/jibri combination for hosting online classes inside our education platform.

Avantages :

* Free! * You are getting complete control over video/audio stream * Embedding meeting in web app was easy * Auth using JWT was a jackpot for us

Inconvénients :

* Recording meeting needs a separate piece of software (jibri) and it's quite flaky (it randomly produces broken files) * Not clear server hardware requirements

A great video conference software

Commentaires : Since the COVID-19 quarentine we've been using it to meetings and classes and it has worked fine.

Avantages :

I really liked the function of choosing the video quality, and the usability. You don't have to download it to be a part of the conference.

Inconvénients :

I honestly had no problem with it, the video quality wasn't the best but it did no damage to the meetings.

Best webinar software!

Avantages :

Absolutely love jitsi. Not only is it free but it's so easy to use. My children even connect.

Inconvénients :

No cons as of now. Screen sharing is easy, talking over computer mic is solid, adding room passwords is easy
