Commentaires : Overall experience is very good due to very nice and easy GUI, faster deployment, faster backup and restoration, Immutable backup help us to save our data from the ransomware attack.

Avantages :

We can deploy NAKIVO Backup and Replication on storage device like QNAP, Synology, Netgear, ASUSTORE. so backup is faster and secure.

Inconvénients :

NAKIVO does not support Bare-Mattel recovery on dis similar hardware.

Commentaires : NAKIVO helped me in the event of a host failure as well as damage to the virtual machines. In these cases, a previously prepared backup helped.

Avantages :

The most important thing is the reliability of this tool. It has saved me several times in my work.

Inconvénients :

I don't see any disadvantages of NAKIVO. For me it would be easier to have backups in the form of easily transferable files than a complicated repository, but of course I appreciate functionality and reliability above all.

Nakivo

Avantages :

I use Nakivo to backup AWS istances from a region to another and works very well. It is easy to use and configure.

Inconvénients :

Enable the possibility to restore guest file from a replicated istances to restore file deleted or damage

Commentaires : Overall it's been great. I set everythign up becuase I needed to get backups going. My account manager set up a meeting with an engineer and we went over what I did. He had a couple of helpful suggestions.

Avantages :

Ease of integration, interface and job setup. Backup copy jobs were very simple to setup and take the options from the backup job. Customer support has been great when I did have a question. My account manager has been very attentive.

Inconvénients :

Can't think of anyting right now. Still need to look at the reporting.

Commentaires : I have deployed the solution in the data center environment, managing both virtual machines and physical servers. Local backups have been implemented, and tasks that were previously done manually are now automated, increasing the productivity of the IT team, as they can focus on other tasks while the tool handles the backups. Additionally, the solution has been configured for database backups, which used to be a major headache for the database administrators, especially when databases were damaged. Now, with both full and incremental backups, the response time for data recovery has been significantly reduced. The experience has been excellent.

Avantages :

Nakivo is a fast and efficient backup tool, but what I find most noteworthy is its granular backup capability, allowing for the backup of individual files

Inconvénients :

Many people believe that due to its excellent price, it doesn't deliver on all the promised features. They couldn't be more wrong. It's an excellent solution.

Ability to do cloud backups, with different providers. The product is dependable with all the features of much more expensive products. Support is excellent.

Inconvénients :

For big environments, don't like the snapshot method of doing backups, but for medium/small customer it is an excellent fit.

Avantages :

Rapid deployment: We use Synology NAS devices for backups. The ability to deploy the app directly on the NAS itself was a big win for us. We reduced the load on our hypervisors and have everything needed for recovery on one device.

Inconvénients :

A web UI refresh would be nice but that is just a matter of personal preference. A mobile app would be great.

Great support and always new features being added that I need

Commentaires : We got tired of the massive cost of renewals from our past backup software providers and decided to try Nakivo instead. They supported our need for Nutanix AHV, QNAP and Tape backups. I'm looking forward to trying the new PostgreSQL database option soon so that I can build my own reports.
Nakivo gets the job done and gets better with each version.

Avantages :

- We really like being able to create a backup copy from our Windows Backup server to a QNAP NAS for immutable backups over our WAN to another site. - Synthetic full backups make daily backups fast. - I like how fast I can restore a VM to Hyper-V, even if the backup was from Nutanix, and even if the backup storage is on my QNAP NAS.

Inconvénients :

- SQL Backups on Nutanix do not support hourly log backups like they do on Hyper-V, so we worked around that with an inexpensive tool called "SQL Backup Master". - No support for Microsoft SQL Server yet

An amazing backup solution

Commentaires : This software allow us to backup our VM and Office 365 data quickly and with reliability. We also sue the replication feature. The best thing, however, is that you can boot from backup directly.

Avantages :

Possibility to install it Linux, saving Windows licensing cost. Also, the hot add method to backup is quite fast.

Inconvénients :

You need to read the documentation beforehand. Once you know how to do things, it's ok.

Nakivo Enterprise : a good choice

Avantages :

What I particularly like is how easy it is to use, both for scheduling backups and for restoring files or VMs. Another point is the great responsiveness and friendliness of the staff in the event of problems.

Inconvénients :

One negative point is the choice of version and the change of options over time. The features of the versions have changed over time, but on the other hand, the support service finds appropriate solutions. Like other programmes, you often have to upgrade to the next version for a single feature.

Solid, reliable and well performing backup solution for VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments

Commentaires : It has provided reliable backup system that has always restored successfully the few times it has needed to.

Avantages :

It provides regular backups for all of our VMs both to onsite and offsite repositories giving us great peace of mind. It can be installed on NAS devices providing a singular backup and storage solution.

Inconvénients :

Remote transporters often need to be manually updated when there is a version upgrade requiring some technical knowledge

Nakivo Backup Review

Avantages :

The things i really like about nakivo is the ease of deployment, literally in Minutes and the reliability of VM backups. Also the ability to recover even files from backups give us the granularity we need. In addition in the latest version nakivo introduced indexing in recovery which makes it even easier to browse all files in your backup. Moreover, nakivo has a lot of deployment option and you can deploy it as a NAS appliance, VM, physical machine. Finally in a single pane of glass you have all the information you need which is very good for users that are not administrators and also the support team of nakivo is exceptional at problem solving

Inconvénients :

The cons in nakivo is firstly the 365 backup is done only on premises and it takes a lot of time to finish if you have under 1Gbit fiber connection. It should have the ability to be done entirely on cloud without having to store the backups on prem. And the other thing is the recovery process as well as the backup verification take a lot of time to complete. Finally the monitoring system it provides doesnt worth it really as there are much better monitoring solutions available.

Powerful products and easy to use

Commentaires : I have been using the Nakivo product for almost 3 Years now I used the VM recovery and also the file recovery in VM, it has always been easy to use.
I also had 2 times needed to contact their support and my problems were solved quickly

Avantages :

Backup of entire VM and also granularity as you can restore only 1 single file from the VM

Inconvénients :

From now I don't really miss anything with this product

Avantages :

Over the course of 3 years Nakivo proved to be an excellent choice for our backup and disaster recovery needs. After the initial setup the interface was very easy to use, had a logical layout and order of steps when performing various activities. Level of integration with major hypervisors is great. Network acceleration helps a lot when performing backups over slower WAN links. Multi-tenant platform in combination with per VM licensing model presents great sales opportunity for service providers offering DR solutions.

Inconvénients :

Introduction of support for the latest releases of hypervisors takes too long.

Nakivo is an amazing software, flexible and easy to deploy. We use it in a lot of our customers IT infrastructures. The price is affordable for features in a virtual environment. The linux-based environment for the server and the transporters grant availability, efficiency and cost reduction.

Inconvénients :

Lack of some features, like surebackup with services check. The ETA is not accurate as well as the progress bar. Also the log and history can be improved.
