Commentaires : Thanks to wirewax, we were able to create interactive videos for training. And branching function works very well and it's easy to create.

Best in class - WireWax

Commentaires : WireWax has been great. They are constantly enhancing the platform and releasing new updates. Also, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and team are awesome with the customer support!

Avantages :

The customization aspect and the tools within the studio. You can really use these tools to create a great interactive product that is engaging and impactful to the end user quickly and efficiently.

Inconvénients :

Honestly, there really isn't anything off the top of my head that is a con.... that how great the platform as well as the employees of WireWax have been.

Overall great value

Commentaires : Overall I like Wirewax. It's allowing us to create something new and become one of the first companies to offer interactive videos.

Avantages :

It's more advanced in function than all other interactive video platforms that I have used. It's innovative

Inconvénients :

The platform can definitely be improved. Sometimes I run into bugs. Also it would be nice to be able to undo actions easily and brows the history of actions. It would be great to have multiple version autosave so I can restore the video if needed. The functions can definitely be improved and simplified. The processing time is long. If that can be speed up somehow, it would be nice.

Commentaires : We have been able to take our How-To videos to the next level. Still very excited with the product after all this time, and are constantly looking for ways to incorporate more interactivity into our work- which WIREWAX makes possible.

Avantages :

The platform is entirely innovative, and allows for a lot more flexibility, interactivity and creativity within our streaming videos. Also, their customer service and tech teams are top notch. Anytime we have any type of problem, they are there right away to help solve.

Inconvénients :

The functionality gets better and better all the time, but it doesn't have quite the mobile functionality/ease of use as the big video social media platforms that it has to compete with in our world (short form entertainment). I would argue that their desktop performance is equivalent or better in some cases than those platforms.

One-of-a-kind market leading tool, can be changable

Commentaires : We've been using WireWax for over four years now and it's really grown in terms of capabilities and versatility. While there are bugs and issues, they've clearly put a lot of investment into their customer support and setting up to quickly respond and resolve issues where possible, so it's reassuring when things don't act like they should that you can get someone looking to resolve it as quickly as possible. Overall, it allows you to make unique and really visually impressive/engaging content and I haven't seen an equivalent yet with quite so much flexibility and freedom.

Avantages :

WIREWAX is easy to use in order to make great looking content, and as a video editor it's amazing to be able to take valuable interview footage that would otherwise hit the cutting room floor due to being too long or too specific and be able to embed it as sneak peeks/behind the scenes moments at the heart of the video. It's great to be able to embed call-to-actions, extra information and more, not to mention creating choose your own path experiences that mean users can choose the info that's most relevant to them.

Inconvénients :

One of the issues of being on the cutting-edge is that how you leave an interactive video isn't always how you find it. There have been times where due to updates, you come back to a live published video and find it's no longer behaving like you expected in terms of hotspot behaviour or overlay text formatting, which can be embarrassing. Another issue is that interactive video performance is driven by the power of the user's PC/browser - this means that you may be showing it to someone and they have consistent bugs or issues that aren't visible from your computer, which takes a lot of time and effort as an editor to fix. Slowly through partnerships and working with platforms such as Twitter and Facebook more compatibility is becoming available to use it directly on those platforms without a workaround - this has been an area of difficulty previously.

The studio tool is great

Commentaires : Wirewax is a fantastic tool for educational video content, where the viewer is there to learn. We had a great response from our customers who watched dour interactive digital tradeshow. Conversely, we didn't have as much engagement with our B2C content/ shoppable video experience

Avantages :

The studio is easy to use and the overall video output looks great. It feels like the functionality is improving over time, great to see your developers are invested in improving the tech! There were some issues/bugs we ran into that could be improved, I have listed these below

Inconvénients :

Video editor feedback: - positioning or repositioning hot spots is not intuitive. It also is difficult to make micro adjustments when trying to move hot spots small amounts - Had many instances where I tried to edit things and had hot spots accidentally dragged into other hot spot layers. - Would like an easier way to recreate hot spots including their position - Would like an easier way to have hot spots appear and disappear on screen vs create duplicate versions - Would like better naming and ordering in the layer panel (alphabetical or order they appear in video) - Sticky hot spots never worked well. Had to have the WW team implement the sticky hot spot and couldn't update it for a newer version of the video (different length)

A flexible easy to use web tool

Avantages :

Its a well built professional tool which has improved over time, easy to use for fairly non technical users. Feature set is good for a web based application.

Inconvénients :

The licensing cost is not very transparent and can vary wildly from year to year. Would be good to have a better way of accessing completed projects for self-hosting.

Great Software with fantastic results

Avantages :

We have been creating interactive videos for our clients for a number of years now and would not use any other software than Wirewax. Implementation is great and it provides everything our clients need. Interactive is something clients are requesting more and more now and I feel will be a main stay for years to come.

Inconvénients :

The back end data whilst good could offer more. Wirewax allows a more general overview of how the video is performing it would be great for the data to be a bit more granular.

Good experience

Commentaires : All of ours videos that should have a call to action is putted on here, very cool thing.

Avantages :

It is good in the way it’s doing exactly the kind of work we expected, we wanted to integrated CTAs into our videos and that’s what we received.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes is not so easy to use, if you are a editor or something it’s very simple an intuitive, but when I have the opportunity to teach it was difficult to show this for a regular user, they just find this very hard to use.

Create you own adventer!

Commentaires : We loved the creative sides of this product and it allowed us to do things we couldn't do anywhere else.

Avantages :

We were looking for a great way for our users to experience our new products so we created a virtual home, whereby they could visit each room and experience the new products with all of the accompanying education and information. This solution worked great for us.

Inconvénients :

It took a while to create this experience and there was a small learning curve but with the help of Wirewax, we were able to really make it rock in the end.

New creative possibilities

Commentaires : Very positive. Anything that can expand the creative options open to storytelling are highly valuable.

Avantages :

This is a great creative tool to expand our storytelling options. It's wonderful to be able to embed videos within videos to provide the type of drill down experience we've come to expect.

Inconvénients :

It isn't intuitive enough for me so I find myself having to call support often.
