Commentaires : Mon expérience La fonction d’extraction directement des fournisseurs ne fonctionne pas ou se débranche continuellement ce qui crée de la frustration de la part de vos clients. Le service technique vous réfère au directeur de compte qui ne re communique pas avec vous même après plusieurs tentatives de votre part de communiquer avec lui. Pas contre, il vous envoie son augmentation de prix. À ce moment vous réussissez à prendre un rendez-vous avec lui après avoir tenté de communiquer avec lui pendant un mois. Un rendez-vous qu’il remet à la journée suivante. Bien sûr, le directeur de compte ne peut pas régler votre problème mais vous devez quand même payer cher pour un produit qui ne remplit pas ses promesses. Service pitoyable pour un produit coûteux qui n’en vaut pas la peine.

Avantages :

Extrait les taxes mais les règles et la fonction Receipt dans QuickBooks Online le font bien sans avoir à payer pour 2 solutions.

Bug bloquant et aucun support technique

Commentaires : Regrouper les factures à un seul endroit et préparer la saisie.

Avantages :

D'une apparence hyper pratique Dext facilite le traitement des factures reçues. Mais 100% des factures doivent pouvoir être traitées et ce n'est pas le cas.

Inconvénients :

L'absence de support technique compétent. Aucun des factures internationales ou européennes ne passe correctement dans ce logiciel faute de corrections mineures et ce depuis 6 mois. La société Dext préfère courir après de nouveau clients en ajouter des "à peu près" que de résoudre les problèmes de ses clients existants.

Un outils d'importation de facture qui fonctionne bien !

Avantages :

Il importe les factures avec précision et facilement. L'application mobile et facile et permet de prendre des factures de plusieurs pas en photo et de les regrouper en 1 document.

Inconvénients :

La connexion avec Sage 50 est beaucoup moins intuitive.

Simplifier sa comptabilité

Commentaires : J'utilise Dext à chaque semaine et je suis très satisfaite de l'outil. Il me permet de gagner du temps dans ma comptabilité!

Avantages :

Ce que j'aime tout particulièrement avec Dext, c'est que je peux facilement gérer mes dépenses, sans devoir gérer mes reçus. Tout s'organise facilement et rapidement et ceci me permet de me retrouver avec facilité.

Inconvénients :

Pour le moment aucun point faible n'a été identifié.

Commentaires : Dext takes away a lot of pain in terms of administration and time, it also keeps my invoices & receipts digitally and gives me an overall view of my outgoings for any set period, excellent product

Avantages :

In short as a small business owner Dext saves me the most precious commodity it can, my time. It allows myself and my team to take a simple picture of a receipt or uplad an invoice and the data is extracted and pushed across to my Xero accounting system. Works very well indeed including multiple currencies

Inconvénients :

Like any OCR extraction it is not perfect but what I would like to see is better notifications of failures for duplication etc, I would like unsuccessful uploads to be easier to identify and resolve

Streamlining Accounting Processes: A Review of High-Cost Software for Improved Client and Accountant

Commentaires : Our overall experience has gone well with DEXT, the only downside it the price hike.

Avantages :

The process is the strongest aspect of Dext. The process is as followed, if DEXT is unable to retrieve all the data it marks it for review. Dext also has features like auto publishing, supplier rules and bank feed as well e-invoicing. With auto publishing you can have documents/invoices automatically published to Xero and ready for reconciliation. Supplier rules also help with have the invoices automatically allocated to the correct supplier. Dext can also connect directly to your supplier they are bringing on a lot of support which can be beneficial to a lot of practices to streamline and increased their performance. Have bank fetch can also help with company tax returns and not having to contact your client to get bank statements all the time as you will have access to this in Dext. Dext have 3 different products: Prepare Commerce and precision. We are currently using DEXT prepare.

Inconvénients :

The pricing is a big factor. Also, for the price DEXT should offer more, currently they have split their product into 3 categories, DEXT precision features should be a part of their prepare features. Recently they also increased their pricing significantly. Their only advantage is that there is no software at its calibre. I would say another factor is ensuring your client use Dext as some from the older generations can struggle.

Dext is perfect for small startups

Commentaires : To be perfectly honest, it was 'fair' at best, we had a good run but outgrew the cost which became very exorbitant after the last company buyout
Really poor customer support options, don't expect a reply for up to a week. Not good when you have to pay your workers and nothing functioning.

Avantages :

Dext has a potentially daunting array of choice at first setup, the beauty is you can just leave sit what you do not need until you need it. Our staff used the software with ease and were able to confirm 90% of the time, to the required use of the software making it less time consuming to chase receipts. It is simple to use and allows multiple levels of authorisation. Scales slightly to cost for small business. They do offer discounts to NFP/RC organisations. Compliant with ATO tax reporting requirements. Fully customisable categories table.

Inconvénients :

Technical support were good, but not great, often the replies were cryptic or were minimalist, often resulting in confusion from them or us. Not a solution once you go over the affordable tier of 80 employees, there are then much better solutions out there. Some limitations in the software framework, but nothing crippling. No training option for staff, assumed you will do that.

Dext doesn’t tell the truth - won’t upgrade my lower level subscription. They expect me to pay twice

Commentaires : I wasn’t asking for anything more than what the average person would receive for their price. Why offer a terrible product that you don’t even advertise, that has almost the identical name to the next level product? I feel utterly duped.

Avantages :

I feel so disheartened by Dext & Google Play! They offered me a discount (without refunding my original purchase), yet they didn’t offer to only charge the difference between what I’d already paid and the next subscription level. WHY???

Inconvénients :

I mistakenly subscribed to Dext’s “Business Plan” through the Dext app. I couldn’t figure out why it didn’t function like it was supposed to. Once I figured out that it was called “Business” and not “Business Plus” I realized I must have subscribed to something different…I didn’t know they offered anything different from their website. I contacted Dext right away and told them I want to upgrade (or refund to upgrade on my own). They told me Google Play can refund this. I communicated with Google Play. They said, “We can’t do this, only the app developer can. I asked, “How do I communicate with the app developer?” They gave me the same email address that I previously used to communicate with Dext. I went back and forth many times (over the course of a month) communicating with Google Play and Dext; both telling me the other can help me. In the end, Dext offered to cancel my current subscription (but I wouldn’t get a refund) and then they’d give me 20% off a new subscription. Dext is EXPENSIVE and now I have to pay double, when I asked to be upgraded (or refunded) right after I bought it. WHO is lying to me? In the end, Dext simply closed the case on me instead of offering me the upgraded subscription for the price difference. UNBELIEVABLE! Dext told me that I hadn’t heard of this lower level subscription because they got rid of it as it wasn’t popular, but that Google Play kept it.

Highly useful management platform for multiple companies

Commentaires : Big process improvement! When I started, we had multiple individual accounts set up instead of a single account housing each client entity, so once we took that consolidation step, everything fell into place & the workflow started to churn without incident. Few to no issues with receiving documents from outside the org, the OCR is fairly capable, and the platform learns quickly & suggests supplier rules to set for item types with regular throughput.

Avantages :

It works exactly as advertised & is user-friendly enough that setup is simple & intuitive. There is a wide array of features on this platform, but everything is labeled & explained well, so while there is introductory training & ongoing self-support material, you often don't need it once you get going because the platform largely guides you toward whatever it is you want to do (which makes training new staff fairly easy).

Inconvénients :

The integrations can occasionally be a bit wonky--less so the accounting software integrations than vendors & bank accounts. I've had a few issues with bank accounts coming regularly decoupled, or with vendor accounts not connecting despite the credentials being validated. The lists for each integration option are also limited, so if you're using a smaller community bank or an industry-specific vendor, you may just be out of luck.

Easy setup and integration with QuickBooks Online. Clients find it quick and easy to use, which is a must to get everything done in a timely manner.

Inconvénients :

I find the monthly tiered subscription pricing to be a bit expensive.

A useful - and usable - alternative to expensive

Commentaires : Overall this has been a good product for my accounting practice. I use it personally for my own firm and for many of my monthly bookkeeping clients as a method to capture receipts in the moment.

Avantages :

Designed for accountants and their clients, allows for easy collaboration and receipt capture. Does a much better job than QBO receipt capture and does not restrict the source email for forwarded emailed receipts, making it much more usable and efficient.

Inconvénients :

The refusal to allow us to use American formatted dates is a constant and significant irritant. It would be so simple to correct this that it is extremely annoying that they won't do it. Receipt matching to existing QBO transactions is inconsistent and only looks back 3 months so it is not ideal for clean up projects. Pricing structure isn't very flexible.

Has great features but don't like that you have to buy in groups of five

I like the integration with QBO, the supplier rules feature, and the expense report functionality.

Inconvénients :

I wish i could organize the files in a different way (similar to a file folder) I don't like the pricing scheme

Simplicity of recording invoices which is excellent for ease of yearly accounting when you are too busy for filing

Nothing as its a seamless product you can use on your phone, just take a picture of your receipt and send

Dext aware

Commentaires : Overall, does what it says on the tin. More expensive than I would want to pay for with Hubdoc being free to Xero users

Smooth and clear platform, easy to push to Xero

Inconvénients :

Unless I am missing how to find, can not see an audit trail as to who has posted to Xero

Forget the rest Receipt Bank is the best! Save time and gather more data!

Avantages :

I have been using Receipt Bank alongside Xero for at least 5 years now and I have tried the alternatives but for me RB is the best! It is easy, accurate and intelligent. Its super simple app alongside the emailing in, drag & drop, dropbox link etc makes adding receipts and bills easy so you are more likely to capture more items. The OCR works well and learns (it is however worth keeping an aye on things as sometimes it can go awry!). The supplier rules work well, it has a great user interface and is simple to navigate. I know that they do line by line splits on some supplier invoices and I would like to see that get more accessible. Overall Receipt Bank saves so much time and I think that they are still developing more and more features. I have had clients that hate it and there are a few nuances that you should pay attention to at the start but once you have it works brilliantly!! I have tried Datamolino, Autoentry and Xero direct for the day to day receipts & invoices but have always come back to Receipt Bank. Customer support has always been good, friendly and relatively speedy. I use Receipt Bank with all my clients - we insist upon it!

Inconvénients :

I would probably say the thing that comes up over again is the price (I argue that rather pay them that than me for data entry!) but maybe if there was a lower starting price? I would love to see a Bill to client button and the option to break an invoice into lines as a standard option.

Easy expense tracking

Commentaires : Very easy to use, and integrates well with Xero and out bookkeeping and accounting practices.

Avantages :

Capture expenses is really easy with Dext. As a team we use a combination of photos, for physical receipts, and emails where we just attach a PDF. Both methods work really well, and it takes away the pain of tracking expenses.

Inconvénients :

The accuracy for digitisation is excellent, however, it can be slow at times. To be honest though, I would rather it take a longer time to process and be accurate than being fast and inaccurate.

Automation with Dext

Commentaires : We already liked Dext, then recently found out about a new integration feature where it links with and fetches data directly from Amazon, Uber etc. to save another stage of manual work. Excellent.

Avantages :

Dext, although higher price, is our preferred purchase invoice data capture system. Its more powerful, so if the client is of a certain size then it is worth the extra outlay to save time

Inconvénients :

As long as you know what it is capable of, its hard to fault

Saves me so much time and keeps me on top of my bookkeeping

Avantages :

Fast, efficient, and I am always on top of my bookkeeping. I scan receipts with the iOS Dropbox app and place them in a shared folder. The next day my receipts have been data-mined, and are ready for me to double check before pushing them to my FreeAgent account. This process shaves hours off my monthly bookkeeping.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally there is a small error in the data mining, usually due to a receipt displaying information in an unusual place or style.

Finally accounts are paperless

Avantages :

This app saves so much time and messing about with recipes and invoices when you are doing accounts. It is very easy to use with the iPhone app, online and via email. Whenever I buy something I can just take a photo of the receipt in the app upload it and forget about it. I can also email receipts for online purchases directly to my receipt bank account. The system then picks out all the information and passes to my accounts software (Xero) I don't have to worry about loosing receipts or searching for emailed invoices. It saves me loads of time and avoid boxes of receipts at the end of the year.

Inconvénients :

I don't really have any downsides to this product does what it says on the tin easy to use and reliable.

Paperless makes everything better

Commentaires : Overall, this product has brought our company leaps forward in technology. No more power invoices and receipts and the best thing is it can be done from anywhere!

Avantages :

We moved to Dext Prepare from a manual System of printing invoices and submitting them. Now with Dext, everything is done online and it’s easier for accounting and employees alike.

Inconvénients :

For employees, some of the features are confusing. There are submit buttons and archive buttons that make it look like you should push them but really you don’t need to and it messes up the accountant if you do. As long as everyone knows this, it isn’t an issue but education is key.

Essential in tracking staff expenses / billable expenses!

Avantages :

Its a single location to store invoices and track expenses outside of the accounting software.

Inconvénients :

Importing expenses into quick books often times creates a new vendor. I then need to go in QBO and move it to the vendor.

Receipt Bank frees up time

Commentaires : I've worked with Receipt Bank for over a year. First used it for my business, then for other businesses. It's basically the best product currently on the market. It frees up time for SMEs, I can see how it worked in our practice and also for other clients. Instead of having to manually type all the details, Receipt Bank will scan it all for you and help you manage this process. The development team is very progressive and they are very keen on making this product work for your business.

Avantages :

It can scan hand written receipts. Taxi receipts are a headache and we've put the system to the test, it's absolutely brilliant at recognising even the odd receipts.

Inconvénients :

We had a few cases where the receipts were coded with the wrong currency, instead of GBP we had AUD. You just need to make sure you review these receipts and make sure you spot such errors.
