Commentaires : C'est un gain de temps phénomènale, pour prendre la main sur les millieurs d'ordinateurs que l'on a en gestion au quotidien

Avantages :

Sa facilité d'installation, sa legereté, il ne consomme que très peu de ressource.il est également très fiable

Inconvénients :

il manque des fonctionnalités tel que le copier coller d'identifiant mot de passe directement par exemple.

I used to Recommend TeamViewer, NOW its all about Splashtop!

Commentaires : I came from using Teamviewer, i will never go back. Splashtop is honestly perfect to use.

Avantages :

I loved the easiness of just having a username and password to access my computer, i used to use TEAMVIEWER, and of course we needed the IP address, so some unique number, if not forget it you are out of luck ... this is so much easier and user friendly. Plus, totally inexpensive.

Inconvénients :

It was a bit difficult to maneuver at first, trying to get the screen to fit was the worse, i eventually got it and it works fine,

An excellent LogMeIn replacement

Commentaires : With Splashtop Remote Support we can effectively manage both our own PCs and servers, as well as that of our clients remotely. The switch from LogMeIn went smoothly, and we've found that the remote support sessions connect far quicker and are more reliable than LogMeIn. Overall we are very satisfied with Splashtop and glad that we've made the switch.

However, LogMeIn wrote to us a couple of years ago intending to more than double the price we were paying. So we looked at alternatives, and Splashtop came out on top for functionality and price. After a two week free trial we were satisfied that Splashtop was the way to go.

Better than other remote support apps

Commentaires : It provides services better than most of its competitors as it provides with a smooth experience. Also, both PCs and servers can be remotely controlled.

Avantages :

It is a great remote support tool as it has a good user interface coupled with secure connections. Even the pricing is fair. I haven't noticed any lag in remotely accessing the machines.

Inconvénients :

Screen fitting or alignment is an issue. Due to this, resolution if the monitor gets disturbed. Otherwise, it is genuinely a good product.

A good piece of software, although it's bare-bones and a bit slow in comparison with others.

Commentaires : Splashtop has a good price point and is decent entry-level remote control software, although there are alternatives that perform better. It's hard to beat the price, though. Test a few before you decide.

Avantages :

Super simple to deploy, with support for Macs and PCs. It integrates very well with programs like Autotask, making it very easy to connect to a managed computer that you are also monitoring with Autotask Endpoint Management. Lightweight, small program that is very quick to install.

Inconvénients :

In our testing it ran slower than LogMeIn and Teamviewer. There weren't as many options to decrease the resolution to increase network speed, although they may have added that feature as we used this about a year ago. We had trouble connecting to PCs that were in portrait mode, and wouldn't switch to Landscape mode without crashing on some systems.

Finally, Remote Access with a Smile

Commentaires : I haven't needed to contact support very much but each time I have they have been quick to help. More than anything in the IT world speed is paramount, these guys are good.

Avantages :

Functionality across pretty much everything. Fast set up. Secure approval for new machines / users, even down to me having to verify who I am on a regular basis - no trouble, reflects the changing IP's.

Inconvénients :

The software working through the app is sometimes a little less than smooth. It still works well but could see some improvement.

Alternatives envisagées : TeamViewer, Dameware et Zendesk Suite

Pourquoi choisir Splashtop Remote Support : LogMeIn while providing a heavyweight piece of software were exorbitantly expensive. Massive price hikes every year. Why did I put up with them for so long? Fear of having a major headache in transitioning all clients to a different product.

Pourquoi passer à Splashtop Remote Support : I enquired with many companies, those are just a few that come to mind. The easiest and most useful help was from Splahtop. They gave me a full trial, extended that trial and then helped in the move from LogMeIn to the Splashtop product. All the way through I had regular email communications checking all was going well. Very satisfied customer.

Keeps crashing

Commentaires : THey are not acknowleding this is not productive when we have to restart sessions or ask the customer to restart their PC

Avantages :

We like the easy GUI to access, and the customized deployments

Inconvénients :

If a user forgets to logout from his desktop pc and want to use his laptop in the field he cant, and we either have to go to his desktop and sign him out or he can wait for several minutes to terminate a connection, and we are talking +5 minutes .... We have used other solutions in the past, they would popup and asked to terminate the other connection automatically, and be done in seconds...We also constantly getting dropped or very lagged connections suddenly - rate is 50 times higher than with previous solutions - so we know its not the internet but the product... stabiliy is starting to be an issue for us

Replaced LogMeIn Central and Integrates with Datto RMM

Commentaires : Connecting to a Splashtop cleint is very fast. I also like how it gives a pop up when we connect/disconnect

Avantages :

What I like most about the software it s the cost! The cost is amazing compared to what we had with Central. We have close to 500 Machines using the RMM and Splashtop direct.

Inconvénients :

When using with Integrated RMM you cant drag and drop files or print. Would like the remote printer to just re-direct the printers instead of having to ad the XPS Viewer.

Excellent alternative for Logmein Central Users

Commentaires : Lower our yearly cost for remote support - and add remote support for MAC users

Avantages :

Easy to use and easy to implement (install new remote clients was easy)

Inconvénients :

Not having an easier way to switch focus from remote desktop to my desktop when assisting someone with SOS remote agent.

how easy it is to remote on and manage a device. the only limit is internet connection which is standard for all things so everything on this works well

can only have one person remoted on a device via splashtop at once.

Robust Remote Support

Commentaires : Any time I have contacted support with a question they were always fast, friendly, and helpful. I haven't needed to contact them about any major issues because it performs like it is supposed to and has never given me any trouble.

Avantages :

Splashtop was incredibly easy to setup, and is very user friendly. It has all of the features we need and offers features we didn't think we would use but they turned out to be a great bonus to have.

Inconvénients :

When it comes to Pro/Cons, there are no cons with Splasthtop. There are a few minor features that would be nice to have, like seeing the user activity status on the main screen of the business app, and we have submitted feature requests, hopefully they will be added in an upcoming product update.

Efficiency

Avantages :

The most interesting in this software is how that is efficient and easy to install and make all needed setups. After, of course the price compare to equivalent platform is unrivaled. With the deploy app process is very easy to install on all machine with a minimum configuration needed. The view on all machines reachable is efficient and easy to setup to give access different machines (users, groups...) Of course, there are several improvements needed but the basic functions are already impressive, efficient, and work how they are supposed to work.

Inconvénients :

Currently, no bad points, splashtop works like a charm.

Low cost IT remote support product

This is the most cost effective replacement we have found to logmein. Once Logmein raised prices after being purchased by Cisco we looked for alternatives. A great choice for MSPs to offer remote access to clients...

Commentaires : When COVID-19 hit we were able to use Splashtop to provide simple, flexible and inexpensive remote control for our clients to be able to remote into their business PCs. Our clients are able to use almost any devices they already have on the remote side and managing the users is straightforward from our side.

Avantages :

Splashtop Remote Support made it quick and easy for us to offer a Remote Control work-from-home option to our business clients when COVID-19 hit. It supports quite a few types of devices, has a very easy-to-use client interface and makes it simple for us to manage the users.

Inconvénients :

The initial creation of new groups, then users, then deployment packages is a bit clunky. It could easily be streamlined with a step-by-step method of onboarding a new client, inviting users and deploying the product.

Cheaper than LogMeIn

Commentaires : Have access to monitor over 500 computers using the software.

Avantages :

Provides all of the same features as LogMeIn for a much cheaper price. Supports dual monitor viewing, remote reboot/safe-mode controls, file transfer, remote printing and pretty much anything else that you'd need in a pinch.

Inconvénients :

None, it is reliable and never had issues with setup, installs, or remote connections.

By far the best remote desktop experience

Avantages :

Easiest to use, and integrates directly with Autotask. Software rarely has any hiccups and provides an excellent interface.

Inconvénients :

Don't actually have any issues with the software, other than the fact it can be a little resource heavy. Tend to see 20-40% resource usage by splashtop application during use, otherwise minimal impact.

Good option for small IT business

Commentaires : One of the problems I have run into with other remote software programs is that the program will go dormant on my end when the operation on the far end is trying to execute a task that requires admin credentials, but I do not have that issue with Splashtop. I am able to get programs updated, and I can access all of the files that are stored on the local hard drives, as well as access the company NAS drive.

Avantages :

I manage a small office's computer systems, and Splashtop is perfect for what I need. I am able to remotely connect to any computer within this office's network to run update. make sure backups are being performed, and monitor antivirus programs. Setting up the client software on opposite was also very easy, and the security involved is very manageable.

Inconvénients :

Like I said, this software is perfect for my needs, but I could see how this may be lacking in some features for a larger operation.

Great tool for remote support of applications and users.

Avantages :

Screen refresh rate is great. File transfer easy to use. Engineers have easy to use desktop application with all the remote computers.

Inconvénients :

Copy / past not always working, reconnecting to the client can resolve this issue. Missing a button with CTRL+ESC.

Avantages :

We use Splashtop everyday single day to support our customers, its really easy to use and fast, I like that we can transfer files between computers fast and easy.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes we get a hard time trying to connect to the remote computer, but most of the time the issue is the computer.

very good remote access service.

Avantages :

I pair this service with Atera RMM, it is integrated when a machine has Atera installed. lets you remote access a machine without needing to receive a temp password like TeamViewer, this can be set up that way if you would like, however. very clear picture and quick response time with very little input lag which is hard to achieve with a remote service. Splashtop does have a mobile app as well if you have that in your plan.

Inconvénients :

can't really think of anything I dislike, gets the job done and does exactly what it says it does. highly recommended if you need to perform remote maintenance often.

Reliable Remote Access

Commentaires : never a need, always works

Avantages :

Splashtop allows me to easily access my client's workstation. Its a pretty seamless product. Works reliably.

Inconvénients :

The split screen doesn't work to great. If I'm on my laptop and want to use the left side of my screen for one application and the right side for remoting into my client's computer by way of splashtop, the right side is split in half.
