I could praise many things about this software but the top pros would have to be the sharp clean interface and the ability to integrate with Sripe.

Inconvénients :

It can be a little clunky if you need to sort based on a criteria that is not already available. It is still possible, but it can be tough to sort.

Just keeps getting better

Commentaires : We transitioned to Virtuous from Raiser's Edge several years ago, and it was probably the best decision we ever made in terms of being able to decentralize our CRM and make it accessible to our team at large. It took us a while to get everyone trained to use it but now that we are up to speed we don't know how we lived without it.

Avantages :

Virtuous was one of the newer CRM's when we started using it, but you can tell they are improving it all the time. As the years have gone by, its look and feel as well as features have continued to improve. It gives you the sense that you are working with a much bigger company that is dedicated to providing a quality product. It has helped our entire team have a central place to interact with donor data and we have been able to customize it to meet our needs.

Inconvénients :

There were a few hiccups initially as we got our data sorted out and imported to the platform and the fields customized for how we would use it. We probably still have some ways to go with our architecture, as we cannot continue to infinitely expand our data fields. We are at a point now where it is starting to get clunky with all the fields we have added. But it is not the fault of the platform, more the way we use it. The platform itself has continually improved.

Virtuous is the extra teammate we always needed!

Avantages :

Virtuous is one of the more intuitive, user-friendly CRMs I have used in my fundraising career—while still providing robust data and analysis. This is the third donor database my current nonprofit has employed over the years—the first one I was able to choose personally—and after multiple years now using the platform, we're all still very satisfied. We appreciate having instant access to upgrades and new features, and I can't begin to say how wonderful our experience with the PEOPLE of Virtuous has been. Our sales associate, data migration team, customer success specialist, and the help desk folks have provided fast, efficient, thorough, knowledgeable, proactive assistance at every step.

Inconvénients :

This is largely an out-of-the-box solution that does not require significant up-front investment of time and manpower (two things nonprofits notoriously lack) in order to build from scratch. That may not be the right choice for someone who needs or desires more customization, but it was for us. There are still plenty of built-in / best practice features that can be tailored to our unique needs.

Hoping to see an improved experience over time- not yet convinced

Commentaires : We are not yet sure if it was the right choice for our organization to move to Virtuous. We still believe that the product will support our growth as an organization long term, but we are not currently satisfied and hope to be proven right. Based on our experience so far, we would not recommend Virtuous to another organization.

Avantages :

Virtuous has many intuitive features and is visually appealing for the user. Lists and queries are easy to run without having any background in querying language. I appreciate that Virtuous is frequently rolling out upgrades, bug fixes, and new features.

Inconvénients :

The software runs very slowly without explanation on some days, taking nearly a minute to load certain pages or widgets. Reporting has some limitations compared to our last software. Customer support is very hit or miss. Support is initially provided through a chat bot and then answered "usually" within 24 hours by a Virtuous representative. Some reps are knowledgeable and provide helpful links, screenshots, etc, while others don't seem to know how to work the platform themselves. There have been backlogs at times where requests are not answered for 2+ business days, and if you ask a follow up question, you may find yourself waiting again. There seems to be no option for an upgraded customer support package if you have unique or custom requests. The knowledge base is not comprehensive and is sometimes out of date. The migration process was also very rough. We started out with a professional and extremely helpful project manager, but when he transitioned off, it went downhill quickly. The Data Migration Specialist that worked with us did not seem to have experience and although she ultimately did what she could to be helpful, probably putting in many extra hours on our behalf, my sense is that her lack of initial training and lack of diligence in early conversations wasted many hours for both of us.

Commentaires : Excellent onboarding with partners, great training, robust software and solid integrations. We are also thankful for the regular communications from the vendor including software enhancements that are automatically deployed monthly.

Avantages :

Extremely user-friendly interface and robust written and video documentation makes Virtuous easy for staff to learn to use. The features are rich including donor management, online donations, integrations, volunteer and event management and reporting.

Inconvénients :

Not the cheapest system on the market may price it out for very small non-profits, but you certainly get what you pay for!

Commentaires : With many different ways that someone can enter our ecosystem, Virtuous has helped us be UBER responsive and deliver targeted and contextually relevant messaging to various audience segments. Everyone is on a unique journey, and it is being steered as we learn more about a contact.

Avantages :

The marketing automation functioanlity in Virtuous is best in class and has allowed us to scale fundraising without always bringing on more humans. The automations function does the work of 1.5 humans, and we are just getting started. We have entire donor journeys built out on automations...we call it our "donor plinko board," a place where, no matter where someone enters our ecosystem, Virtuous know who they are and serves them with the right message on the right channel at the right time.

Inconvénients :

There was a period of time where support was slower and less helpful, but they have really stepped it up on that side of things, and we now are getting quick and helpful support responses, even offers to jump on video calls to diagnose the problems or questions.

Commentaires : It is an immense help to our organization to implement an API between Virtuous and our mission-trip tracking platform. Also, having a single location where we can house our contact database and seamlessly interact with our website and marketing efforts is excellent!

Avantages :

In my role, I utilize gift tracking, contact profiles, query tools and reports, email marketing, and campaigns. Each of these features are easy to use and updated efficiently in the Virtuous admin settings.

Inconvénients :

Campaign integration still feels clunky to me, even after support calls, reading articles, and receiving training. The data represented through the campaigns is not easy to retrieve at a snapshot.

Commentaires : Awesome experience from the first introduction through conversion and continued support! This has been an exceptional partnership for our organization!

Avantages :

Virtuous allows for easy integrations from multiple software platforms. Workflows allow for automation of data tasks as well as tasks assigned to users for continual donor stewardship. It provides donor wealth and social insights on the donor record. Marketing emails to targeted audiences with response analytics. Ability for gift, project, event analytics to make decisions on fundraising strategies. Customization of fields to our organizations specific concerns.

Inconvénients :

A small portion of the migration/conversion logic was did not match as expected to incoming data.

Best All-Around CRM

Commentaires : We've used Virtuous for five years, and the team feels like a true partner. We've suggested ideas and improvements, and we've been happy with how we keep building out our Virtuous database as our systems become more sophisticated. I feel like we still have so many features to tap into!

Avantages :

Virtuous has allowed us to manage all aspects of our CRM work. We engage with our member network as well as our donor base. The email marketing tool, automation workflows, flexible architecture, and wealth screening integrations have worked so, so well for us.

Inconvénients :

There hasn't been anything too significant - Virtuous is constantly rolling out new features and improvements.

Commentaires : Virtuous allows for any number of metrics to be pulled because of the ample data it can host. It's easy enough to use to get started with but comprehensive enough that you can always find something new to analyze.

Avantages :

Virtuous is a step above other nonprofit CRMs. There are endless capabilities, reports, and metrics that can be pulled from Virtuous. Virtuous is intuitive enough to focus your attention on the data that matters most.

Inconvénients :

Some data could be organized better. The sync with QBO could be improved. Creating custom reports could be tweaked to be more efficient and quicker.

Avantages :

We are a small nonprofit and our Development Department consists of one person. It was important to us that we found a CRM that could wear many hats and more importantly had automation.

Inconvénients :

It did take a long time for me to learn how to use it. However, this is because I am a one-person department who has to divide my time between many different things. It took a lot of practice for me to understand how Virtuous functioned and to get the hang of it.

Great for out of the box general users

Avantages :

Virtuous takes quite a few useful features such as pledges, recurring gifts, households, task tracking and makes them easy to use right away. The automation suite is strong and offers a lot of functionality over and above similar products. Being a newer company, there are regularly new features coming out and updates being made.

Inconvénients :

There are a few features that are lacking in Virtuous to be aware of. Namely portfolio management could be improved and power users will find the bulk upload tools lacking.

Our Decision and Migration to Virtuous

Commentaires : We are thrilled to be with Virtuous and are very expectant that this software will enable us to grow in unmeasurable ways. With the marketing tools Virtuous offers, the possibilities are limitless.

Avantages :

Virtuous possesses one of the nicest interfaces out of the 10+ Donor Management systems/CRMs we looked at. The user-friendly interface and layout create an environment that is more enjoyable to work in and makes learning the software that much easier. We inevitably chose Virtuous because it offers so many automation tools that would allow us to streamline several tasks that had been managed manually. Virtuous came in clutch when Blackbaud dropped the ball. (I typically wouldn't use this opportunity to throw a competitor under the bus, however after our recent migration, it's only fair to others shopping to be warned). Virtuous was nothing short of amazing during migration period. They have always been very communicative and willing to assist. Even when our prior system was dropping the ball, they stepped in to do what they could do to ensure we were taken care of. I can honestly say that Virtuous seems to care about their customers and is on our side. Much more than most other vendors I have worked with.

Inconvénients :

Although Virtuous has several amazing automations, there are a few limitations. One key feature we were looking for, and still hoping for, is scheduled reports. Scheduled reporting and a more relaxed import tool would make this product and 10/10. By relaxed import tool, I mean an import tool that could be circumvented or allow for more data entry when a match was found. Other than that, the only other area that could be improved is customer service that could be reached by phone or live chat.

Modern software designed for personalized nonprofit fundraising

Commentaires : Overall I've had a great experience with Virtuous and would recommend it to all nonprofits looking to increase their organization's relationship with supporters.

Avantages :

I love the personalization and customization options available that really help nonprofits connect with their donors. I also love how responsive the Virtuous team is to customer feedback.

Inconvénients :

It can be challenging to switch to a new fundraising platform, and there are definitely some features that would be great to have in Virtuous that are currently missing. The product team is very good about listening to feedback and using that to improve the system.

Commentaires : I've worked in Virtuous with many of my nonprofit clients and have overall been very pleased with my experiences.

Avantages :

Virtuous is a user friendly and intuitive system. It's easy to get customized reports and information quickly. Virtuous Marketing and Automation are great tools for creating personalized and segmented communications without sacrificing time. The built in dashboards are also helpful for quick high level reporting.

Inconvénients :

Moves management for MGO portfolios is a little difficult to do natively in Virtuous.

Commentaires : The features of Virtuous are comprehensive; there's a lot within the system that I have access to but have not used. The more time that I spend getting to know it via their trainings and customer support, I am more and more pleased with the product.

Avantages :

The trainings are comprehensive, the features around customization are easy to integrate, and the efficiencies around marketing efforts definitely makes this system unique.

Inconvénients :

Utilizing Virtuous's marketing tools allows for personalization, but the customization around making it look like I want isn't yet integrated into the system.. .I use Canva and then piecemeal it together in Virtuous.

Solid option for a Nonprofit CRM

Commentaires : Helps us track campaigns, donors, lapsed giving, all the important metrics that a nonprofit needs. Implementation process went very smoothly.

Avantages :

Interface is intuitive and easy to use. Lots of good automation tools.

Inconvénients :

Integration with accounting software is not as good as our previous software.

Virtuous as a Non Profit CRM Platform

Avantages :

Virtuous is very ergonomic to use, and there are many valuable resources available to learn the product. The Virtuous team is responsive and helpful. The majority of daily use cases are made easy with the typical ease of use nature of Virtuous.

Inconvénients :

The reporting system is somewhat limited, however there are options to run reporting in more technical ways to get better customized report and dashboards. There are options to add custom fields to specific data objects, however you are not able to create a whole custom object.

Incredible value for powerful industry-leading features

Commentaires : Virtuous is constantly evolving to meet the demands of a competitive marketplace. I've tried some of the other DRM services, and they were bloated and unwieldy. Something as simple as generating a year-end tax receipt was laborious and time-consuming. Virtuous removes that layer of complexity and puts you in control. It is flexible, extensible, and expandable with the click of a few buttons or keystrokes. I would highly recommend Virtuous to any non-profit organization looking for an affordable donor relationship management solution.

Avantages :

It is extremely easy to use. The Virtuous team has obviously invested vast amounts of time into determining the most intuitive way of doing things, such as creating projects or gifts, editing donor information, creating volunteer opportunities, or running queries or reports.

Inconvénients :

I'm having a difficult time coming up with any cons. I can honestly say there's nothing about Virtuous I don't like. Support staff is very accessible, so if there's ever been anything I was unable to accomplish, they were able to walk me through how to do it.

The Best People Make the Best CRM

Commentaires : Everything about Virtuous is easy and fast. Virtuous has made learning a new CRM simple. I can manage donors and gifts easily and quickly and when I need help, I can onboard staff in snap.

Avantages :

For me, Virtuous is about simplifying the typical CRM into a useful, efficient, and powerful tool. Add in Virtuous's automation features and, in my opinion, you get one the best CRMs at a great value. Now, add in some of the nicest people in the business, who really care about you, and you have the best CRM in the world.

Inconvénients :

While Virtuous is fantastic, it's also still growing. Some features are missing but they're getting added all the time. To make the automation even more powerful, I would love to see a Zapier integration.

Avantages :

I love the tags and the workflows the most! I also love the receipting, it's so easy to use and you can customize it to fit your needs.

Inconvénients :

I love the reporting and I love the Summary giving fields you can export out, but I would like to see a few more formatting options in the base reporting area.

The Best CRM I've Used

Commentaires : I love working with Virtuous and have been encouraging my clients to consider it as their CRM when looking to move databases.

Avantages :

I've been working with clients on several different CRMs over the years, and Virtuous is certainly the best. The functionality is better than other platforms. I also love that I only have one account across different client bases-- it makes it so easy to keep track of everything!

Inconvénients :

Virtuous took a bit to get used to. I think the training videos were quite helpful, but I struggled at first since there are so many functions/

Commentaires : I would highly recommend Virtuous to any non-profit out there that wants to grow there giving and make there whole home office process much more efficient.

Avantages :

The technology is second to none. It has so many features to help our team stay organized and up to date with all communication with our database. The tools Virtuous offers, is helping us increase our giving and streamline our work flow. The Team at Virtuous has been easy to work with and extremely helpful through the transition process.

Inconvénients :

There is obviously some adjustment period from the old system we were using to Virtuous and getting use to all the tools they have. The Virtuous Team has been there every step of the way through this process, which has made the transition easier.

High Quality, Comprehensive Database Management

Commentaires : Virtuous has enabled us to save money, and consolidate much of the other software we use for a variety of tasks, including sending out emails blasts, entering donor data, keeping track of fundraising, and more.

Avantages :

The support team is incredible and highly responsive. The capabilities of the software are far-reaching and make it so that it could be the only software we need for sign-ups, donations, volunteer management, emails, donor data management, and mailing lists.

Inconvénients :

The ease of use and versatility of the email system, Virtuous Marketing, could be improved, as well as minor bugs/quirks throughout CRM. That said, however, the frequent updates to the system are continually addressing such bugs, and only get better with time and more use.

Top-end CRM with a personal touch

Commentaires : Would definitely recommend this product and service for mid-size, non-profit companies looking for big bang for the buck. Plus, the customer service and personal training offered by Virtuous is second to none. Consider this as a strong contender in the CRM market.

Avantages :

- Ease-of-use - Deliverables - Customer service and training support - Nice visual data representation - Powerful - Secure - Awesome preexisting reports, plus options to manipulate as needed - Exactly what I needed to manage donor relationships and more!

Inconvénients :

- Jargon took some getting used to, but otherwise no complaints - Doesn't seem to integrate seamlessly yet with MailChimp

Great platform; still in development

Commentaires : Although it's live, functional, and an overall great platform, Virtuous is still a work-in-progress in somewhat early-stage. Dev team is still working to streamline some of the fundamentals. If you go into it knowing that, you'll be perfectly happy. If you go in thinking you'll be using a "matured" software, you will get frustrated.

Avantages :

User experience and design is grade A. A lot of cool functionalities that most non-profit CRMs don't have.

Inconvénients :

Queries are a little wonky compared to other nonprofit CRMs I've used.
