Donorbox’s wide range of payment options and its ability to accept nearly every currency in the world makes it a vital component of our organization’s fundraising as our donors and members are located around the world.

Inconvénients :

Thanks to Donorbox’s continual addition of new features, the cons we noted when we were first selecting the platform have since disappeared.

Donorbox Cares

Commentaires : With Donobox, I am able to offer my givers lots of different options. Apple pay was a big thing that other places didn't offer. However, Donorbox rolled that out and solidified our relationship even more!

Avantages :

I tried a lot of different software, websites, etc, but I always came back to Donorbox. Their ability to make Churches and Nonprofits a part of their company, and not a money grab is my absolute favorite. I fell in love with Donorbox because of their attention to detail to churches and nonprofits. And the very best thing? Churches and nonprofits are not the same for them. There are specific articles and tools for churches that differ from nonprofits-I know because I've been both. And it's not that products aren't available for one or the other, it's that the way everything is structured for each sector makes it really feel like Donorbox cares about who they serve. We are not customers at Donorbox, we are people, businesses, churches, whatever you are, Donorbox will recognize you as that. You are not a customer in their database, and I can't tell you how much I love that.

Inconvénients :

I think understanding Donorbox coming from another software can be difficult. It was for me, but once you learn it, you actually enjoy all the customization and giving options. The fees aren't to bad either. I would say the only con for Donorbox is that it doesn't integrate with a lot of church software that I've looked into. But I don't even know if that's a problem because most church software has its own giving platform, so I can't really say it's a real con or not!

Donorbox Review

Avantages :

Donorbox is great for a basic integration to seek donations.

Inconvénients :

It is very basic and has not had many upgrades therefore it lacks the professional touch that many of the competitors offer.

No brainer!

Commentaires : It's been a breath of fresh air. Prior to Donorbox I have used Classy, Salsa and Network for Good. Each have annual fees and yearly contracts, if you move from one of them then your monthly donors don't transfer, lame! Donorbox was made with the nonprofit in mind. It has all the functionality I need and it's easy to customize and manage donors. I wish I would have switched to them earlier.

Avantages :

- Best reoccurring giving. - Use of partners that do it better. Unlike other CRMs that try to do it all. Donorbox has API's already set up with Mailchimp and they use Stripe and Paypal. If you have used (and struggled with) Salsa or Network for good then you know the significance of this. Donorbox provides a powerful set of tools where the small nonprofit can thrive and continue focusing on their mission. - No annual cost or contract and low processing fee. - Forms are easy to create and customize.

Inconvénients :

You can make the crowdfunding and donation form a Peer-to-peer fundraiser. Which is cool. I think it would be better if I could just create a peer-to-peer form and be able to customize it a little bit more. Still functional but I bet it could improve.

Highly recommend

Avantages :

Easy for users to pay and checkout, easy to use on the administrative side. We like the ability to customize each campaign, the donation meters, and the ease of downloading lists of donors. It's been particularly helpful for peer-to-peer fundraising: we set up a campaign for each fundraiser, making it possible to customize each fundraiser's goal, donation increments, colors, thank-you notes, everything. It's been a great addition to our website and one we're happy to recommend.

Inconvénients :

No issues or complaints. Easy to use, easy to implement.

Love it and so glad to no longer have 7 different options for asking donations!

Commentaires : Very customer service oriented. I really love working with DB. They just need to polish a few things before rolling out anything new and test it out. They usually fix whatever I inquire about, but I'm sad that the event and CRM software isn't up and running. So I'm still dependent on other programs.

Avantages :

Tax letters/receipts that are sent out immediately.

Inconvénients :

I wish their event features were on the level of eventbrite. I was so excited when they rolled out the events platform only to discover it just doesn't have the reporting and functions we need. I still have to use Eventbrite.

Kind Staff and Robust Features

Commentaires : Fantastic, I've worked with 3 other donation platforms and this one is by far the best value, best experience for me as an admin, and best experience for our donors.

Avantages :

The staff at Donorbox are the kindest customer support folks I've ever worked with. Through learning the platform, migrating recurring donors from other platforms into Donorbox, and setting up an integration with our Salesforce account they have been helpful, patient, and simply pleasant to work with. Further, I appreciate that as Donorbox adds new features (such as crowdfunding) they don't put them behind a paywall.

Inconvénients :

I know my marketing coworkers wish some of the design features gave us more customization.

Trustworthy and simple

Commentaires : DonorBox has been instrumental in increasing our fundraising donor base and cash flow.

Avantages :

It was easy to set up and is trusted by our customer base.

Inconvénients :

I really haven't found a downside. There was a learning curve setting things up but it wasn't insurmountable. We have multiple forms now.

Love the Ease of Use

Easy to customize. Love that donors are able to cover the fees.

Inconvénients :

I wish I didn't have to go to a separate PayPal or Stripe page to check on donations.

Donorbox is exactly what I needed

Commentaires : I looked hard for a way to accept a small number of monthly donations in small amounts that didn’t involve incorporating a business or doing a lot of overhead. Donorbox solves my problem!

Avantages :

It’s a free and easy way to accept automatic monthly donations.

Inconvénients :

I wish there was an app or at least a good mobile-friendly site design for the admin side of things.

Game Changer

Commentaires : Integration with Salesforce NPSP, Pardot, and Wordpress - after a small learning curve, it's all seamless.

Avantages :

I can't say enough good things about Donorbox. We were struggling to sync our data to Salesforce and manage recurring donors in prior systems. It was time consuming and inaccurate. We implemented Donorbox and bam - it just works. Their support is responsive. The integration is excellent. The interface is easy. Our recurring donors can manage their own profiles. It's been such a good fit that I recommended it to another client and helped them implement it. I don't usually write reviews but I had to do it here - it's just excellent and if it ever goes away I will cry.

Inconvénients :

There's a learning curve. But it's small, and worth learning for our purposes.

Works fine but be prepared to pay extra for integrations

Avantages :

It is easy to use and set up. Lots of option for integrations. Chat support is usually quite helpful and responds quickly.

Inconvénients :

Donorbox's functionality is just fine. To get a great experience out of it, you will have to set up a few integrations that have their own monthly costs. Donorbox recently lost their contact with 360MatchPro and did not notify users, which was frustrating. Setting up field mapping to Salesforce has been challenging and Support has not been helpful.

Best Software

Commentaires : It is one of the best softwares for nonprofit start ups.

Avantages :

The product is easy to navigate through. The set up was very quick and it integrates well with our work.

Inconvénients :

It uses another software that required facebook for verification of information.

Commentaires : I really love this app. It is so easy to use, and you can run multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Avantages :

Ease of use. Ability to run multiple campaigns at the same time. The ability to fully customize what information you want to collect and donor levels, also that you can put descriptions next to donation levels. For example, if you are fund raiser for a particular item, say a backpack, you cam say $20 - 1 backpack, $40 - 2 backpacks, etc.

Inconvénients :

Customer service can only be accessed through email, but they are very good about getting back to you.

A very helpful product, but a little tricky to set up if you want some control over options

Commentaires : Overall it was good, although it took much longer than I had expected.
The website for Getting-started-with-Donorbox was extremely helpful and took you through the steps. But later, to modify information, it wasn't clear where that data was kept - Donorbox vs Stripe.
Having to define my business and name an Executive Person was complex - and loading a .pdf for a utility bill kept failing (I had to make it a .jpg!).

Avantages :

For the user, the product is very easy to use, and it was up and running quite quickly. We began to receive donations quickly. Excellent! Creating Embed Code for us was extremely helpful. It was pretty well designed for ease of setting up.

Inconvénients :

Being from a computer background, but also a user in this case, I found the details about how information is used to be inadequately described. Specifically ... how the different e-mail fields will be used. Our main email is the church's, but we wanted finances and donation information to be to a separate e-mail address (for confidentiality purposes). In the end, this didn't work out. The boundaries between Donorbox and Stripe weren't clearly defined to me. The fee structure (Stripe and Donorbox) was not very clear in the end - what the rates were and who charged what.

Great product!

-Pricing -Easy to set up donation forms -Mobile responsive, makes it easy to give -Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, round up donations -So many nice features!

Inconvénients :

It doesn't integrate with other things that we would like it to, so integrations are a little limited.

A Must-Have for Nonprofits

Commentaires : Several volunteers use this software and it is VERY easy to use. The reporting is quite robust and provides us detail that QuicksBook cannot. We regularly recommend Donorbox to other nonprofit organizations. The support for chat/email is fast and friendly.

Avantages :

We have been using Donorbox for several years and it has brought us into the 21st Century!

Inconvénients :

Nothing--they keep making regular improvements!

Great Software and Simple to Use

Commentaires : We have a non profit website and have run various fundraising projects from our site and Donorbox makes it super easy to set up custom donation campaigns and take payments. We use Wix as our website and it was very easy to set up on our site. Also, Donorbox makes it very easy to connect with our payment processor (Strype). In short, donorbox is awesome and critical to enabling us to take donations on our website.

Avantages :

Very easy to set up, manage and create donation capabilities on my website. Also, super easy integrations with my third party payment processor. I also like the data and reporting. I can see all of my donors, their status, their history, etc.

Inconvénients :

I would like to see some improvements to email capabilities. Emails are easy to set-up, use and execute but they are pretty generic. Would love to have some template options to chose from.

Donorbox has been everything we needed it to be!

Avantages :

Everything about Donorbox has been great. Simple to create, implement, and edit if needed. I've appreciated it's their customer service and willingness to look into unique problems related to my needs/desires for the product. All in all its been a simple and well built product to receive donations.

Inconvénients :

One time we ran into some customization hopes we had around design/layout that weren't possible.

Inconvénients :

I submitted a request that would make SO MUCH difference and I'd like to know if it's in the works - Specifically, I want an "account" id to be captured for each donor - which I did add as comments. However, in order to capitalize on this - it has to be added to the TRANSACTIONAL extract I do each month so that I can LINK that account id to my monthly off-line transactional reporting - Please feel free to contact me for more clarity.

Avantages :

I absolutely love the Donorbox customer service. I have been a user for years now and don't have problems with the software, my problems come from our customers needing answers for their questions about their donations, my fundraising, etc. If I'm not sure how to answer my customers and donors, time and time again I have reached out to customer service at Donorbox and they have been on it with helpful help and quick solutions. I also love just how simple everything is laid out and at my fingertips. Thank you, guys. We are big fans!

Perfect For My Nonprofit

Commentaires : They have been a great partner for nonprofit. Our donation page looks professional and sending out tax receipts at the end of the year is as easy as it gets. I recommend them to other nonprofits.

Avantages :

- Charge very minimal and fair fees for my nonprofit which really helps. - Responsive and helpful customer service. - Easy integration and looks good on our website.

Inconvénients :

- Have to download a csv and navigate Excel to track specific fundraising goals.

Well suited for nonprofits

Avantages :

We like the ability to easily set up campaigns as needed. Everything is within the customer’s control. The feature to email annual donation letters for tax purposes is invaluable. Hours of tedious work was avoided eith a literal click of a button.

Inconvénients :

We would like the ability to record in-kind donations so that it can be included in our annual reporting.

Love using Donorbox to Manage my NFP!

Avantages :

Ease of use & signup! Provides a platform for even the smallest & newest of Not for Profits! The ability to ask donors to pay the fee with their donation helps cover the fees.

Inconvénients :

I don't have any Cons to report. All experiences have been positive.

Commentaires : My experience with Donorbox is fabulous! Every time I reach out, help seems to be there magically and immediately. The people at Donorbox go above and beyond to help me with every single detail. They never lose patience, are polite, friendly and remain professional.

Avantages :

It's well designed aesthetically, works well, offers a lot of options and is concise.

Inconvénients :

I'm not able to make changes on my own. It's difficult for me to grasp the concept/procedure. I always try to use it first on my own but ultimately, need help from support to accomplish my goal.
