Great Product - Even Better Company

Commentaires : This helps me as the lead track what our future flow of business will look like and a benefit we are soon to realize - onboarding NEW agents is made possible through the transaction and communication management system.

Avantages :

This product is really incredible - we didn't have to be tech experts to set it up because the onboarding team at Top Producer was so amazing - they helped us every step of the way to make sure we were optimizing our use and continue to communicate with the team - answering questions and helping as needed. As for TPX itself - we love the interactivity level it gives us with our clients and our transactions - we've built our very robust transaction templates and WE DON'T MISS ANYTHING in the transaction processing - we also intentionally build relationships with the people who matter most.

Inconvénients :

We want to be able to manage conversation tracking and transaction updates on the go from a phone - the web app is not great for that. Each member of our team invested in a large tablet with Data so we could use the CRM from a car as easily as from a desk.

Commentaires : The sales and support interactions were all excellent, at every step of the way, from initial sales contact to following up to make sure I continue to be successful. Their sales and support people know their product roadmap and have input to product developments. This shows their product management is on point. Good product management is the key to having a system which will support their users continued success.

Avantages :

The contacts are easy to import and easy to set up in the Top Producer X web version. I enjoy seeing my email conversations within the contacts. It is a good addition to my normal work environment, using Win10 touchscreen laptop. I keep Top Producer X as one tab open in a Chrome web browser alongside social media and property information throughout my working day. The layout makes it easy to update information and next steps for multiple clients and contacts.

Inconvénients :

The web version doesn't have all the features of their legacy 8i product. They have an active development team working on porting features from an older system (which is still functional) into the newer system I started on, Top Producer X. Mobile version still needs updates to newer interface. Text messages sent from the TPX CRM are hard to view and act on responses on my mobile device. It's not perfect, but I have trust that they will incrementally provide updates that solve these issues and more.

Commentaires : Excellent. Used it since 2005. Customer service is good. Today Fajr answered my chat immediately and understood exactly what my question was. This is usually how it is, and they have even been through an ownership change.

Avantages :

Ability to send very targeted emails using the categories

Inconvénients :

I wish I didn't have to back and forth between 8 and X, but that's ok, I've learned them both and what X cannot do.

Sad Decline of a Once-Great company - STAY AWAY

Commentaires : 15+ years ago it was fantastic. Service started really dropping off by 2021. By 2022 we now have daily down time (they know about it because they openly admit to in in their emails in response to our service requests), no way to speak to a live person, and REALLY slow response times. They're cutting services, reducing usage, losing functionality....all while raising their user fees and no longer even speaking to their customers. Actively looking for a better option ASAP.

Avantages :

I used to like how easy the software was to use....it USED to be top-of-the-line software for those of us in the real estate business.

Inconvénients :

1. No live help (their "live chat" has never actually been helpful) 2. WAY too much down time. 3. When you try to get help with one version that's down, they try to get you to switch/upgrade to a different version of their software. 4. Fewer and fewer things function properly. 5. VERY slow online support; ZERO billing support. ZERO phone support.

Sometimes we have to sunset features due to external factors (e.g. Google making API changes), and sometimes it's just not technically possible to support certain features, as they're based on 15+ year-old technology. Like the search capabilities in 8i and would hope they can provide the download to file option in X

Inconvénients :

Need a merge feature in TPX. Having reconnected with TP has created a huge duplication project. Would also like to be able to export selected contacts to a file from TPX vs having to switch between X and 8i

Constellation R/E Group Destroyed Top Producer

Commentaires : Great for 20yrs but completely ruined in the span of about 7 months. They have completely derailed our systems, lost our data and cost us a lot of additional dollars and headaches.

Avantages :

Originally it was highly customizable and worked great for decades. Constellation Real Estate Group purchased the system and botched the data transfer. They lost all of you historical communication email and letter templates and were unapologetic about how much this cost my team to recreate. Then to top it off they doubled their prices.

Inconvénients :

it is down all the time and the keep scaling back the features to try to get you to sign up for their new system which is a Joke!

[sensitive content hidden] has been extremely helpful in walking me through several aspects of Top Producer. I am excited to start using the product again and get organized and have Top Producer work with me to help increase my productivity.

Inconvénients :

I've owned Top Producer for a few decades and stopped using it probably a decade ago due to constant errors, not being able to manipulate information to make it my own and constant email issues.

Commentaires : It was Ok. Customer service was always helpful. I found social connect to be a good idea, in theory, but really wasn't productive. I even added other agents to help follow up on the many leads, none ever converted, it was a waste of time and money.

It was confusing. Social Connect was not productive. Got lot's of leads, but none of them converted, no one was actually interested in purchasing or selling properties, lots of wasted time following up on dead ends

Top Producer keeps your leads and contracts in one spot

Commentaires : The company I work for uses Top Producer for the transaction side of the deal. We do actually use another program for the drip campaigns and most of the marketing side. I dont remember why we switched but there were some bells and whistles that the other software gave that Top Producer did not, however it does not have the transaction side and I like the way that Top Producer has the front page set so that all your listings and transactions are very visable with close dates and such.

Avantages :

I like exactly what the title says, it imports the leads from the our Zillow account without any extra work. The drip campaigns and nurturing is easy to set up and customize. Once a lead becomes a client and writes a contract they are all right there in the system. No extra typing or moving of items. Also listings are easy to convert to a sale upon a contract. I have a lot of realtors under me and and I hate redoing things like typing in data again and again. This keeps it all together.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I can think of that I dont particularly like is that it allows for duplicates in contacts. There is a solution to it but it requires doing a search and would be helpful if it didnt allow duplicates in either the contacts or the transactions which I have also accidently duplicated or at least give a warning. Okay maybe one more thing. The reports are difficulty. Because all of our transaction info is in Top Producer, sometimes I need to pull a report or a spreadsheet of say closed buyers names addresses and emails maybe for a customer party we are throwing, the reports are very limited and not even able to be customized to create a usable spreadsheet that I could take and upload to the invitation site, so it requires a great deal of time to pull the info I need out and it would be much more helpful if the reports were customizable or at least a usable spreadsheet format.

STILL THE BEST - EVEN BETWEEN TWO CHAIRS ( X & 8i)

Commentaires : The quality of the products will attract the most discriminating clients/users and the strength of the support/technical support will get you through any of your challenges and will keep you there

Avantages :

The "X" is bringing along new wonderful features including integration with Realtor.com, MLS, Outlook and Gmail emails and social media - NEW FEATURES such as to text directly from contacts files, property insights, transaction management are simply wonderful and addressing today's needs - ..it is an ongoing process, still in beta version and the staff is dedicated to listen to our feedback and implement suggestions from seasoned veterans - very refreshing....

Inconvénients :

We need a tad of patience - the sophistication of Listing & Actions plans experienced in 8i is not yet available in X - which forces old users like me to navigate between the two versions to fully complete my work ( not ideal but bearable for the time being) - while Top Producer may not be offering the most user friendly product, you would be hard pressed to experience the power and sophistication it conveys with any of its competitors - like anything worth having, there is a learning curve with it and it is 100% worth it - the blessing in disguise is that you are never alone, the support team is the best I have witnessed in my life and I have been a Realtor for over 30 years - while the staff is unbelievably knowledgeable, they have agreeable personalities and they have the talent to listen carefully and explain patiently - rare for nerds LOL!

Abandon ware, purchased by a new company and abandoned

Commentaires : Horrible, I hate this software, what used to be a somewhat decent CRM is now being harvested for what is left. Look elsewhere CRM's are cheap this is a rip off.

Avantages :

nothing, the only redeemable feature was the calendar sharing, however google calendar integration broke and they have not bothered to fix it. Their calendar app is garbage, adding appointments in is the equivalent of nails on a chalk board, using it absolutely sucks!

Inconvénients :

Expensive, outdated and abandoned by it new owners. Customer service can take from 1-3 days to get back to you, their new platform has again been abandoned since their bread and butter is their 1990 8I platform, witch has some decent legacy features like label making but who knows when that breaks and gets left behind too.

Our team has actually grown since the acquisition. The issues with Top Producer Classic (8i) were caused by the separation of Top Producer from our previous parent company. This was a one-time migration event and does not reflect our commitment to our customers. During this time, our Customer Care team was busy, but we have since resolved these issues and have reduced wait times down to < 1 minute on average. And now that the migration is complete, we are able to focus on our next-gen CRM, Top Producer X, and developing the tools agents need to be successful today. Commentaires : I have not switched to another product, as I am waiting for them to get me back all of my client information & plans.

Avantages :

The product was fairly easy to use and was online, so you could access it from various different equipment.

Inconvénients :

The support, the crashes, they lost all of my email & letter plans that I had set up, they lost all of my contacts, they did not post that they had issues and you could not get a hold of anyone via chat, email, phone, etc. Totally a nightmare. They are trying to get back my letter & email plans, but have no idea of when that will happen, they said they would give me new ones, but have not and I would have to set them all up. All of my past clients that I had for 30 years, lost all of their plans. I could not do net sheets, once I had an offer accepted, buyers & sellers did not get their reminders. It has been over a month of hell and they compensated me 1 free month for my troubles. RUN AWAY!

The BEST CRM ever!

Avantages :

Top Producer is easy to use - and you can't "lose" clients when you have input their date correctly. I have been using this for 23 plus years. They continue to make improvements and their support has ALWAYS been the best. I love the chat box - very quick and efficient.

Inconvénients :

During the changeover from TP8i to TPX, I lost a lot of data - lost a huge library of letters and emails. However I did not lose any contacts or any of the info pertaining to sales. As far as emails, since I use gmail, those emails could still be retrieved if needed. The library of letters lost were the ones I was not consistently using.

Long time user of TP

Commentaires : The past year has been a very difficult time trying to use TP8i. I have never seen or heard of any software company take an existing software and NOT have the Ability or Resources to keep it operating as it was. I expected the NEW [SENSITIVE CONTENT] to improve the operation NOT MAKE IT WORST... I don't know how much longer I can put up with NOT BEING ABLE TO DEPEND on operation of TP8i

Avantages :

The ease of Bulk Email, CMA's, Template's, Applications- Net sheets, Contacts , Listings & Closings and the DISPLAY of DATA for each CONTACT.

Inconvénients :

There wasn't anything that I DIDN'T like about TP8i = The past year with all the downtime, Slow response time for the past year has been terrible and STILL is NOT a good dependable software. I am overcoming the lost of templets, BUT I end up REBOOTING TP8i about every 30 minutes to an hour. Its not the software that is a problem. It's the inability of the Present Management Keeping it RUNNING.

Excellent Customer Support and It is needed

Commentaires : Not good, when frustrated by the ongoing calls for help and it was time to cancel I was told that It was necessary to continuing to pay for this software. Which while it bills on a month to month basis is a trap for an inescapable contract. The antiquated billing approach matches the user interface. Most software these days allow you to pay for the value you receive and not try to hold you captive.

Avantages :

Provided some automation of some frequently performed functions but lacked a more modern user interface and required way too much individual tailoring by individual users. The Customer support team was great however for most problems.

Inconvénients :

The user interface, lack of integrated texting features, lack of support for Google Voice, the appearance of an email interface that was horrible and required rework external to the CRM in Google email. Strongly recommend trying another CRM and using this as a last resort

Good Product for Transaction Mgt pay attention to the contract

Commentaires : The experience with Top Producer is good, the customer support is polite and helpful. Do pay attention to the contract when signing up. You can't get out of the agreement easily and if you sign up for a bundle you are in it for a 1 year contract. My recommendation would be to sign up for the basic plan see if it works for you then go on to a bundle plan. I did the reverse, and later switched companies where I didn't need the website or Market Snapshot etc and it I couldn't adjust easily I was stuck paying for it for 5 months at $114/ a month and not using it.

Avantages :

We had used Top Producer from 1999 to 2010 an decided to buy it again because of our past success with the transaction plans. I think Top Producer is a good suite of products for the right person. Activities management is probably the best feature. It's great to use when you have a transaction coordinator.

Inconvénients :

Learning this product is time consuming. Plan to spend the time to immerse yourself in this. I personally did not find it to be intuitive but I'm not the best at technology. I think if you are a single agent this may not be the easiest option. If you have a good administrative assistant that has the time to learn this and dig deep, I've found assistants really like the plans.

Couldn't work without it

Commentaires : It is the only thing keeping me on top of things. This product allows me to set plans and then just do the tasks as they come up. It keeps my schedule, if it isn't on the schedule it doesn't get done. I couldn't do have the work I do without TP keeping me organized and on schedule. It would be impossible to juggle all my clients without this product.

Avantages :

This product has got all the bells and whistles. It is easy to use and as your knowledge and experience grows the product grows with you. Customer service is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and very helpful.

Inconvénients :

Doesn't show the zip code on a search result page

Top Producer is a key part of my business.

Commentaires : I have had Top Producer for 31 years, before it became an internet program. I have always found it to be indispensable. Invaluable in so manu functions to support an active Realtor.
There is a learning curve for anyone starting to use it but your tech support team are fabulous. They have an abubdance of knowledge, skill and patience.

Avantages :

Control of my database with entry of all listings, closings,activities and events One click posting of emails to appropriate client "Activities completed". Personalized emails directly from the client data page. Calendar and reminders. Marketing. Easy to produce attractive flyers. Income and expense tracker

Inconvénients :

I haven't checked recently but Market snapshot was not available in Canada. I realize this is not a Top Producer decision but rather an overly protective canadian industry. It would be good to have it.

Commentaires : I have been using Top producer since 1995 and have over 10,000 contacts. It is comprehensive and indispensable. I love when I am able to pull up past information from years before to remind my contacts how long we have been acquainted and/or doing business. together.
The calendar and transaction reminders are fantastic. And , what a great feature Google Sync is.

Inconvénients :

The lost of email history and google sync when the Google password is changed. I would be nice if that history could be recaptured or saved.
