Automated client leads saves up a lot of time. Constantly being updated and improved.
One time, Iris-Works had a glitch and would not load. I tried to contact them to see how long it would take to get the program up and running, but I had trouble reaching anyone by phone/email.

Huge time saver
Avantages :
The ease of invoicing, sending, taking payments, and keeping client info organized is so worth the cost of this subscription.
Inconvénients :
I would love to see a phone app, so you can stay logged in. Or log in with the thumbprint.
Can't imagine my business without it!
Commentaires : Signing up with Iris Works is like hiring an office assistant for less than $30 a month. It does my scheduling, my emails, my reminders, my thank yous, my invoices, my contracts, keeps all my client data organized, etc. Saves me a good 6 hours of work each week. I can't imagine my business without it now!
Avantages :
It's such a time saver and it keeps me organized! My clients appreciate the prompt and reliable communication from the automated emails.
Inconvénients :
It's ALMOST fully customizable. Almost, but not quite. If it were fully customizable to my own personal needs, I would have zero complaints at all!

Commentaires : It helps me keep my business organized better than I could alone, but I am definitely considering switching to a different program like ShootQ
Avantages :
Contracts and invoices - I enjoy the ease of sending clients contracts and invoices. Being able to accept payments through Stripe and PayPal makes life easy.
Inconvénients :
The organization of this program is not intuitive at all. The menu across the top is disorganized in itself like "locations" would be as important as a dedicated menu header as "clients". A menu to the side with the main part of the window being your workspace or "dashboard" would be much cleaner. Clients - a giant, seemingly neverending list of clients is useless. I can search them by name, but some sort of organization or grouping option would be nice. The individual client page is nice. I like being able to see their activity, invoices and documents. To -dos: A boring list that tells me nothing. Visuals would be nice, like an interactive calendar that can be color-coded. I can tell nothing from glancing at a list of text. Calendar: Meets the bare minimum of calendar functionality. Being able to see a list of upcoming calendar entries would also be nice. Invoices:Professional looking. I like that I can connect to Quickbooks. Documents: Again, a list. I like the tabs to separate them. The editing window is garbage. A common complaint is accidentally clicking outside of the window and losing your work. Studio: Email templates are ok, but not be able to add images is not ok. The banner option is lame. Also, if emailing clients is going to be an option through Iris Works, there needs to be an email client where we can look through our messages. Having to hunt down emails client by client is tiresome. Workflow would be nicer if there was a better calendar.

Avantages :
Professional look to the emails and invoices. I like the saved email templates and workflows. It saves so much time and headaches! Storing all the activity in a timeline is great too.
Inconvénients :
You can't write an email without having to draft a template, so it's more difficult to send quick correspondence. Sending auto emails is confusing when they are sent out. It would be nice to have a confirmation email or a blind carbon copy sent to us so that I can verify the email has been sent. The annual subscription is excessively expensive. No accounting software, only invoicing.
Iris Works has streamlined so much of my client communication process. I love it.
Avantages :
I appreciate that all of my clients' information can be stored in one place. From contracts to invoices, I don't have to worry. I also love that emails can go out automatically so I don't have to remember to send clients updates and reminders.
Inconvénients :
I wish Iris Works allowed you to do wedding day timelines, like HoneyBook does. I'm also not a huge fan of the way the lead forms looks. They don't integrate with my site well.

Inconvénients :
It still have many functions that I would love but it is slow to add them. I would love for it to be more like hubspot in the features area but still relatable to the field. Also, they dont have a way to download all your contracts at once, it is one at a time only and if you dont pay your yearly fee you wont have access to your old contracts if you wanted to switch companies- making it almost impossible to leave them.
Best studio software out there!
Avantages :
I like how the software keeps me ahead of the game, on top of tasks and payments and makes it look like I have everything together when presented to my clients.
Inconvénients :
I really didn't like setting up the software but it was actually really easy. There are tutorials walking you through everything you need to do, a live chat option for questions and a Facebook group for instant access to updates and helpful hints. I think there is a paid version where someone can set it up for you which would be helpful if you have the money. I am just stubborn and wanted to do it myself.
An essential tool for my business!
Avantages :
It's easy to set up and use. Quick for me to set up a client and send an invoice as well as easy for my clients to pay.
Inconvénients :
I wish it had a few more features. When it comes to doing my sales tax if there were more ways to sort the months and categories that would be helpful. Also if there was a way to put in appointments and then send text reminders to clients automatically that would be amazing!

I love how easy it is to use Iris! Before finding iris, I tried many other sites/compaines which where very tricky to understand. I came across Iris at WPPI and so glad I did, I gave it a try for a couple days before committing to it and loved how easy it was to set up a new client, add a contract and send an invoice to them. Also love how I can connect my gmail calendar and have a one calendar system.
Inconvénients :
Only wish I could separate my clients by weddings/corporate/portraits.
Love Iris Works, it is a great value for the money!

Love that it has a location feature, other sites do not have this. I also love that you can customize your client profiles with pictures and the ease of the client questionnaires.
Inconvénients :
Don't like that this software doesn't handle taxes or revenue easily. I am looking for a software that does it all.
Lacking
Commentaires : It got me started in organizing my business and made me realize I needed something more robust.
Avantages :
For me this was a gateway software into realizing I needed a client management system. I also liked that it connects with Shootproof in-creating and linking to galleries. It's pretty quick and easy to figure out. Does all the basics.
Inconvénients :
Lots of little things that really added up quickly for me: 1) Rude customer service. When asking about a feature, curt replies were given. 2) Linking through clients, documents, invoices should be seamless and back and forth. 3) Entering an address should generate a map link 4) Entering a phone number should generate call link 5) No automations. 6) What ultimate did it for me is when I started looking at other similar products they did all this, more, better, and for the same price. Why would I continue to spend hundreds of dollars on a product that hasn't been updated (and is basically just a pretty Access Database) in the year I've used it. Product updates had been promised and I hadn't seen a change. Time to go.

The product was a game changer for me when I was switching for the first time to a CMS, helps alleviate loads of otherwise time taking tasks.
Inconvénients :
As I've used it for a long time now it's not growing with me as I'd like it too. I find that I am using Evernote and Trello and Calendy AND Iris when I'd like to be just using one platform to manage my clients. The hardest things for me are non-customizable things, such as specific timing on items, as well as actual task lists and due dates that are managable. Plus I find it's only usable on a computer - would love to be able to access it more redily on my phone.

I love how easy and quickly I was able to integrate the software into my business. I was up and running very fast and it was easy to get help from the support team. I love how I can integrate all my calendars! I also really like how easy it is to keep client information all together...their contracts, questionnaires, invoices and everything all in one stop! I also really like the automation side of things with emails and more!
Inconvénients :
The financial side of things is weak. I wish I could track my business expenses and mileage. I also wish I could use this as an app on my phone too. Last, I wish I could reply to emails sent out through the software.

It's easy to use- makes sense in my brain. Other softwares were just too difficult to figure out how to use.
Inconvénients :
I'd like to be able to send an email through Iris without having to "generate" one. I like to keep track of all correspondence with our clients through the software. My biggest complaint is NEEDING AN APP! PLEASE!!!!! Yes, I can log in from a browser on my phone, but its such a pain! A way for our clients to schedule themselves online would be awesome as well as a way for them to pay for their appointment without us having to send an invoice. For example, Ms. Smith would like to book herself Monday at 4:00 pm for a headshot session. Deposit the amount. Payment has to be made then before she can complete her booking. Because of these major items, I'm looking at other studio software that would allow us to do all these things.
I love Iris Works!

There are a few things I wish that I could do that Iris isn't capable of yet. However, they are constantly adding more features!

Commentaires : I love iris works. I did free trials fot many different programs and iris works is the easiest, most cohesive option.
Avantages :
I like that iris works is all in one. It keeps almost all of my client info/buisness info in one place. Easy to use, and everything is branded with my company logo, so it all looks so professional and cohesive. I also LOVE the new booking feature.
Inconvénients :
I wish it integrated more with shootproof for galleries, or had its own galleries to use so it would truly be all in one. It connects clients to galleries, but not to any purchases the client makes through those galleries. If this could be done, and maybe also add in a section like quickbooks for tax purposes omg it would be absolutely the perfect software. I would pay more.
Makes my business SO much easier to run!
Avantages :
I love every single feature, I love that I can see how much income I brought in last year so I can see how I'm doing this current year in relation. I love the invoicing, and how easy my workflow is!
Inconvénients :
That clients can't make payments toward a lump sum. So if a wedding client wants to pay off part of their balance I have to send an invoice for that exact amount instead of letting them pay what they want as they go.
IRIS works is great!!
Commentaires : I have been using IRIS works as my client/session management software for over 2 years now. It has helped me simplify my workflow and has saved me hours of work/time. I love having everything in one spot and being able to go back to review my client forms and emails.

I wish that more additional features (mini session scheduling) would be added at no extra cost.

I was a full -time legal secretary / photographer working 80 plus hours a week and there was no way to keep up until I discovered IRIS Works. I thought I was going to have to hire someone to work my back office and now it run's itself.

Avantages :
Iris Works has saved my time and my sanity! Before Iris Works I was managing multiple software accounts for my business. I was spending so much time on the computer sending emails and less time doing the job that I love! Now, all the programs I used to manage separately are in one place! My favorite feature of Iris Works is their automation of workflow. I can now send my emails to my clients automatically. Taking this time sensitive piece out of my workflow has been a game changer for my business!
Inconvénients :
Create the ability to directly send a questionnaire to a client without having to add it to an email template.
I love how much easier it makes my life

Contracts, client info, I like that I can send questionnaires and then easily refer back to the questionnaire before the session to make sure there isn't anything I'm missing.
Inconvénients :
I wish there was a better app process as well as emailing clients without using a specific session, just if I need to send them a quick email or if I wanted to email ALL my clients about a sale.

Commentaires : I have been so much more organized with iris works. It's such a great way for multiple employees to find information they need.
Avantages :
I love the ease of figuring out how to set up. The invoices are very simple and easy to compose. The price is very affordable.
Inconvénients :
Because there's multiple people using this I wish there were ways to assign to do's or have different lists. I wish we could email multiple clients at once because I have groups of clients that need the same email at once.

Avantages :
I use to use paper files (still love paper) but having clients info and being able to save files and notes helps pull up info fast.
Inconvénients :
Pop up boxes are not eadybtonusr and don’t move. Not wnoifh “note”’sections to write about more client details. They seem to never be fully upgraded and big downfall is they are adding services with extra costs.
I love Iris Works for keeping me organised and allowing me to have everything in one place.
Avantages :
The software is easy to use and has 99% of what I need - but they are constantly updating it! The invoicing is easy & slick for my clients. Being able to send pre-written customised emails easily is the best feature for me - it saves me so much time!
Inconvénients :
It isn't perfectly adjusted for the UK - so the currency is in dollars & the date is backwards. I would like the updates to come in a little faster on that.
