Our Service Technicians picked up on it very quickly, and it encouraged them to do all pre and post-trip inspections in a timely manner, which helped with our DOT compliance.

A Safe Fleet is a Good Fleet

Avantages :

The access for my drivers rocks! Also the reporting gives me a quick look at any issues with my fleet.

Inconvénients :

No real cons to it. It is superb. I enjoy it and so do my drivers.

Avantages :

Whip Around is a critical part of managing our fleet. It allows our drivers to easily go through a custom checklist pre- and post-trip, which will email the admins of any failures or maintenance issues that are found so they can be quickly resolved. We also use Whip Around to track the miles and have set custom notifications at certain milestones for maintenance BEFORE it's due so that we can plan for downtime, etc. The maintenance module allows us to easily run repots on the overall costs per vehicle which helps us project allowances in our budget quite accurately.

Inconvénients :

The app is always in the portrait orientation. It would be great if when you turned the device it went into landscape.

What I wish it had

Commentaires : Its great for pretrips but other than that trying to use anything else I have struggled with bugs or just a release of the feature to early to where it really needed more thought and development. I hope to see some corrections of the current features to make it more used friendly on all platforms.

Avantages :

The inspections tab works great its user friendly on both driver and mechanic side and I don't have any issues there.

Inconvénients :

1) I wish you could make assets available to more than one group. I want to separate my mechanics and drivers since they have separate forms but I would then have to have 2 of every asset making me pay double. 2) I wish you could achieve vehicles. We have had trucks get totaled and we have to keep pretrips for records but we don't need to keep paying for the asset to be active when we don't have it any more. 3) I wish the phone app was more comparable to the computer. There is so much you cant get to or navigate on the phone and it makes it hard when you out in the shop trying to look through inspections and work orders of the truck you are trying to repair. The app overall is just not user friendly for mechanics which makes it hard to teach them to use it. 4) This would be a great tool for mechanic shops if you found a way to make a customer asset for vehicles not owned by the company.

Commentaires : Overall WhipAround is a huge improvement to some of the more archaic methods of fleet management. The interface is a healthy design, user friendly, and excellent at navigating you where you want to be. The product itself offers a vast amount of tools and resources available to you at different levels.

Avantages :

I enjoy the ease of general fleet management. Helps us detect issues that could otherwise go unnoticed.

Inconvénients :

I don't have much to say about cons, it's more about the usage we personally get out of the product vs the capacity it could provide other companies that operate differently.

Great one stop shop for maintenance overview

Commentaires : Great Product that keeps my fleet on the right side of DOT compliance.

Avantages :

User interface is intuitive and really easy to use. The overview for a driver and his tasks he needs to complete are easily identified and performed leading to 100% compliance.

Inconvénients :

Nothing really.....We find the software meets our needs nicely

Commentaires : we tried out several vehicle inspection apps, some were great however not budget friendly. whiparound meet both our needs of being functional and budget friendly.

Avantages :

easy to customize, easy to use for back end users and users

Inconvénients :

hard to find in app sort for users.

Avantages :

It’s super easy to use. Anyone can use it. It makes keeping track of a fleet simple and quick to find anything I need.

Inconvénients :

It takes a little while just to get things figured out but once it’s figured out on the backend it’s super easy.

Commentaires : While using Whip Around I have only encountered one glitch while using the app on my iPhone. I quickly contacted customer service and was connected to a technical support agent who helped me with my problem in a timely manner. Communication was very well maintained throughout the process as well thanks to [sensitive content hidden].

Avantages :

Let’s you do a real time inspection of any unit being used. Let’s other users know of any malfunctions or problems that have occurred as well.

Inconvénients :

I don’t have any complaints about the app.

Whip Around Benefits Companies With Remote Employees

Commentaires : Whip Around solved a lot of difficulties with a completely remote workforce in that drivers have no reason not to submit paperwork and payroll on time. Now they cannot submit late and claim that the email was lost. If they can take a picture they can submit their trip sheets. We can design and then arrange inspection cards for any subject quickly and easily in a way that makes performing and completing them easier for the drivers who can execute them in less than two minutes from anywhere they happen to be at any time avoiding excuses such as they were working and didn't have access to their PC. Whip Around app provides time stamps and a GPS location at the time of report submissions which eliminates a lot excuses and abuse. Generally our employees like it and even our 1099 drivers appreciate the tool. Used creatively, Whip Around has provided us with several ways to solve problems associate with an entirely remote workforce prior to the pandemic, allowed us to conform to requirements that developed out of the pandemic, as well as provide proof of vehicle and driver condition should our client's employees would try to throw our people or vehicles under the bus to collect overtime or play favorites with local transport providers they know personally whenever we enter a new contracted area.

Avantages :

Its ease of use especially for our drivers who are not always equipped with a personal computer.

Inconvénients :

There are no cons with Whip Around that I can think of.

Inventory tracking and the ability to perform a detailed equipment check that is connected to a piece of equipment that is assigned to a specific vehicle and have that check stay with the piece of equipment when it moves to other vehicles.

One of Our Best Tools

Commentaires : From the moment we expressed interest in this product, we have had a great experience. Their customer service is always available and always helpful. I've expressed interest in having other features before and they listened. This is a great company with a great product. This is one of the best tools we have in our DOT Compliance program.

Avantages :

Whip Around is easy to set up and use. Driver training can be done in minutes. Also, the card system it uses can be tailored to your company's needs, and our drivers actually like doing their inspections this way. I have no doubt that our drivers always did their inspections, but getting them to correctly fill out inspection forms was a nightmare. With Whip Around, all the problems I had with paper inspection forms were solved and I am getting more complete inspections than ever before.

Inconvénients :

At this time, I have no cons to report regarding Whip Around.

Fantastic System - Easy to Use - Made us Compliant

Commentaires : The CSR's at Whip Around are amazing to work with - they check in regularly to make sure everything is okay, they provided and in-person training for free, and always answer questions in a timely manner. They have a chat feature and someone always replies within minutes!

Avantages :

This software is very easy to use, as it can be used on a cell phone, tablet, etc. Our Service Technicians picked up on it very quickly, and it encouraged them to do all pre and post-trip inspections in a timely manner, which helped with our DOT compliance.

Inconvénients :

There is nothing we don't like about this software. There are even features we don't currently use, but it has so much potential .... I can't say enough about how this software has helped our Service Managers manage inspections, repair, etc.!

Best D-DVIR Software

Commentaires : Whip Around has allowed us to go paperless with our DVIRs. The ease of use by the PVOs combine with the dashboard and fault reporting has allowed our company to act quicker to faults than ever before. The program has been good so far and we look forward to future features that will release.

Avantages :

This software does exactly what it says, it digitalizes the DVIRs required by the DOT. It also helps track vehicle faults, allowing our Operations Team to stay in the know and react appropriately at all times.

Inconvénients :

The one feature that needs to be implemented is a much more robust "reminder" feature. Right now you can only set reminders with a very limited control over when and how these reminders would be sent. It would be amazing to allow admin to set up reminders for specific forms and on specific days to specific PVOs. EX. send a pre-trip reminder to all employees on Monday - Friday at 7am.

Commentaires : So happy I learn of whip around it has saved me so much desk space by not having everyday paperwork sitting to be signed off or waiting for work to be done.
I up load the issue and what equipment needs worked on and send email to our mechanic he then signs off with his statement when done that SIMPLE.

Avantages :

How easy it is to review all faults or non faults,I can follow every piece of equipment in now time,or if an employee isn't signing in,great tracking .

Inconvénients :

well I'm a slow learner, it took me a couple of trial's and with the help of support i got a lot figured out!!! do i have it all figured out no but as i move forward i feel confident or i call support.

Great Software to Keep Track of Maintenance Schedule

Commentaires : Our team has been very pleased with Whip Around. It has developed into a vital role in our company and we hope to continue to take advantage all the software has to offer!

Avantages :

With Whip Around we have been able to manage our trucks maintenance in an efficient way. This software allows us to easily see when our trucks are due for a oil change/PM and to keep track of our scheduling. Our technicians are able to complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the software and then it quickly relays the information to our management team. This keeps us organized and ensures our day will run smoothly.

Inconvénients :

On Whip Around there are a lot of features that may overwhelm some customers. It can be tough to dive in to all the capabilities the software truly has.

Commentaires : Using this type of software reduces the chance of missing potential issues with equipment and has reduced the downtime as faults are reported sooner. Auditors in my experience have been overall impressed with the system and prefer this over searching through filing cabinets.

Avantages :

Ease of use, modern web interface with good tablet support etc. Ideal for streamlining and keeping on top of daily checks with customisation of templates as you go. Reporting of faults is made efficient with ability to upload images etc Ability to set reminders with email alerts and good customer support when needed. Improvements get made on the fly showing ongoing development of the software is still active.

Inconvénients :

Would like to see the option to add templates that are user restricted to allow service templates to be created for maintenance staff. At the moment I cant see how to do this, perhaps its something they are working to implement with a future update ?

Great Product!

Commentaires : This software makes it extremely simple for me to monitor and manage my crews and their fleet on a daily basis. Because I am in the office, I am not on the front line with them daily, but with the help of this software it is like I am , in fact, out there with them because I know as soon as something is wrong. Or right for that matter! They submit to me daily an inspection of their vehicles giving me the piece of mind knowing that they are out there working and traveling safely!

Avantages :

The ability for me to know that my vehicles are maintained and in good condition on a daily basis, without me having to be out there inspecting them myself is great!

Inconvénients :

At this time there is no issue I have with Whip around and think that they development team is doing an exceptional job!

Avantages :

it keeps a running record of requested repairs.

Inconvénients :

when reviewing faults if you open a fault to look at it. when you close out of that fault you have to go all the way back to the beginning. if you used any filters you have to click on them again. if you were on page #2 you have to go all the way to the bottom of the page and click on page 2 then find where you were to go on to the next fault.

Commentaires : The product is backed by a friendly and helpful team makes for winning combination.

Avantages :

So very easy to setup and use. Having the ability to monitor and oversee the entire fleet at once is a great benefit to the company. Drivers find the process really easy and not laborious at all. The maintenance crew are able to respond to faults as they are reported. Creating, editing and changing forms is a breeze.

Inconvénients :

The fact that it is not currently linked directly to any of the existing fleet management and servicing software.

Second Time User and Works Just as Well!

Avantages :

Whip Around is simple and powerful. I'm a small owner/operator and this is a great tool for keeping track of mileage, as well as details that DOT might want to see. I implemented this for a previous employer and have continued to use and enjoy it as a owner/operator. Thanks rep and crew!

Inconvénients :

Occasionally the software hangs, but I find this is often the mobile device and not the software itself.

Great for trucking outfits

Easy to use nd its great that it ties in to phone

Inconvénients :

area that could use work is if a defect is minor that is marked in progress , that an operator change that repeats the same defect would not pop up again . Such as scratch in paint or any minor cosmetic damage
