Commentaires : Nous avons un besoin assez simple de Soda PDF mais il coche tous les critères d'un logiciel PDF à utiliser au quotidien, je recommande!

Avantages :

Soda PDF comporte de très nombreuses fonctionnalités: fusionner, découper ou encore compresser les fichiers format PDF. Soda existe en version web ou encore en version logiciel ce qui est mieux pour les documents plus lourds, c'est très bien.

Inconvénients :

Le prix à l'utilisation de Soda PDF peut être assez élevé.

Commentaires : j'ai acheté la licence de 14 jours illimité, mais mon compte n'a jamais activé et ma carte de crédit a été piraté suite à mon achat !!

Facturation piratée !! il y a d'autres paiement en sus des 3.41 dollar proposé sur le site et le compte local n'est jamais activé malgré le paiement

Alternative crédible à Adobe Reader

Commentaires : je l'ai utilisé mais suis revenu a d'autre logiciels plus ergonomiques

le cryptage qui permet de protéger le document et la possibilité de restreindre certaines fonctions comme l'impression, la sauvergarde...les fonctions sont variées.

Inconvénients :

moins pratique que certains concurrent, moins intuitif.

Convertisseur de pdf

Avantages :

Editeur et convertisseur de fichiers PDF utile et efficace

Inconvénients :

Logiciel payant et moins simple d'utilisation que d'autres logiciels comme ILovePDF

Commentaires : Thanks to its extensive range of functionalities and user-friendly interface, it has been quite helpful.
Editing PDFs and merging files are available with some interesting features.
It is easy to add an E signature to any kind of PDF file.
Along with small pdf , when i am opening large files, it become glitchy some times, and customer support is not up to mark.

Avantages :

I mainly use it for adding my e-signature of PDF files. Merging tons of files together by page number, SODA PDF, helps me to be more proactive. Considering its price compared to other PDF editors, it is cheaper.

Inconvénients :

Customer support is almost dreadful; they should improve in this section.

Good to go as PDF editor

Commentaires : Comparing other similar PDF Editor software, SODA PDF comes at a cheap price.it has good user-friendly interface. it has live and webinar and online documentation tutorial to understand the basic use. Through Customer support is very bad in my case, it takes a long time to answer by them.Currently offline and online product doing good, Sometimes it takes long time to load large PDF files, They need to improve on that.

Avantages :

Easy user friendly interface, I can convert image files to PDF and edit on the basis of my need.PDF with word document can easily identified text, in a minute i can edit the text and save as my required file format.Adding digital signature in my files really helps me.

Inconvénients :

Customer support act at a leisurely pace, Sometime its very hard to reach them. Transferring license to other new device takes time due to slow process.

Not free software

Commentaires : This software seems to be fairly feature-complete and I could definitely see it as a strong competitor to Adobe Acrobat. However, I couldn't tell you how well any of those features work because essentially none of the features are available unless you use a paid version. The issue I have with this software (and the reason I'm writing this review) is that I feel like they gave me a bait-and-switch. I have been using the built-in PDF viewer in Mozilla Firefox to view PDFs, but have been looking for a free software that will allow me to manage bookmarks in PDF files. From my research on Google and looking through the website for Soda PDF, I was given the idea that Soda PDF offers a free version of the software. I have attempted to use this "free version", but it seems there was absolutely zero point in installing this software, as literally all it can do is view PDF files, which can be done by any modern browser, including the ones that come pre-installed on every operating system. So the "free version" of the software is a waste of your time, as it doesn't actually provide any useful functionality that your computer doesn't already have. I've seen it referred to as the "free trial" in a few places, and it certainly doesn't live up to that name either, unless your intent is to "try" looking at the "you've discovered a premium feature" screen, since pretty much every button gives you that popup. This is less of a "free version" and more of an advertisement you can install.

Installation of unsolicited upgrades

Commentaires : Works well except for constant installing of unsolicited upgrades then asking for activation that requires further payments. As a result I have made 2 annual payments for the one installation and now need to make another payment to activate the latest upgrade.

The product is easy to use and fulfills my PDF requirements

Unsolicited upgrades and activations resulting in additional charges.

Great PDF Editing Application

Avantages :

Soda PDF works great woth converting files from PDF to other formats and vice versa. I also enjoy using their PDF editing functionality.

Inconvénients :

None. This application is great, very useful and shortens the time it takes to fill out PDF applications.

Horrible Customer Service

Commentaires : I started a free trial and had issues with the PDF Editor almost immediately. I attempted to cancel my trial. I later received an email that said I needed to cancel my free trial. I attempted to cancel again. I received a charge for a membership and contacted their chat and asked for a refund. I was told that I agreed to the sale and that they would not give me a refund. I eventually was given a refund after SEVERAL minutes of heated debate where I was told that this was my fault and that the company should not have to refund me.ANYTHING this service does can be done better by a different PDF editor. Don't give them your time or money.

Honestly, I have nothing positive to say about this company.

Their software is glitchy and their customer service is abysmal.

Disappointed with new version

Avantages :

Initially, my old version of SodaPDF suddenly stopped working - "your subscription expired" - but logging onto their website and finidng that my subscription is good through 2022 did not make me happy. Then finding out that the old version I was using MUST be upgraded - NO ANDS IFS OR BUTS. New version to me is VERY clunky - I liked SEEING a title that read "crop" - not having to hover over multiple buttons to find what I wanted. Crop function is horrible. If I have a 8.5x11 document (landscape), dragging the left most bar changes the top one - top drag changes the right side, right side changes the bottom - bottom...well, bottom does not allow you to drag it at all. FORCES you to use a slider bar set to the right of the drag bars. VERY inconvenient. Finally got my crop where I wanted it. Program crashed. Tried again - SAVED this time. Crashed after save. 3rd opening, finally was able to print what I needed. I am honestly horrified to try other functions - took me longer to find the simple things I wanted rather than using an intuitive "title" system (yes, I can hover over icons, but JUST SHOW ME THE TITLE.

Inconvénients :

Horribly clunky interface that does not work as expected.

Cancellation an Issue

Commentaires : Usage wise it was effective from a basic point of view. Customer support extremely poor.

Decided not to renew but Soda won't let me remove my credit card details

Stole my money!!

Commentaires : Wasted money... AND WAS CHARGED ANOTHER SUBSCRIPTION AFTER ONE YEAR... IT RENEWED AUTO MATICLY SO I WAS CHARGED ALMOST $700 FOR TWO YEARS FOR A PRODUCT I DID NOT USE. I DID NOT NOTICE THE NEW CHARGE UNTIL PAST THE 30 DAY CANCELLATION DEADLINE SO THEY WOULD NOT REFUND THE CHARGE. I TRIED TO CANCEL WHEN THE RENEWAL CAME BUT THEIR PROCESS WAS CONFUSING AND APPARENTLY I DID NOT PUSH THE CORRECT BUTTON. I WOULD RECOMMEND AGAINST PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT.

Avantages :

Purchased product as document editing software. Previously had Nuance. This product was very hard to use in comparison to the Nuance product.

Inconvénients :

Very non-intuitive and too expensive. The company is non-responsive to their misdeeds.

Great application

Avantages :

This application makes it very simple to convert documents from other formats into pdf. It convertd the document within minutes.

Inconvénients :

The sign in process can be made easier and simpler.

Good Idea - Poorly implemented - LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCT INFO

Commentaires : My biggest issue is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - POOR PRODUCT DISCRIPTIONS. You would think after over 2 years of customers complaining regarding the poor customer service experience, they would have fixed it by now. I have waited on hold for more than 1/2 an hour then being disconnected. Asking for a order number instead of having a product license ID listed in your Account product information is a poor design. Email to Customer Support provided none of the answers I inquired upon. I wanted to recommend this product to my clients for their pdf solutions - However, I cannot find a clear description of what each product Home, Business, Pro - Premium - Standard - Anywhere has to offer for tools. Refunds for purchases seem to be lacking as an easy to do in the 1st 30 days and When you cancel it only cancels at the end of the year purchased rather than immediately refunding the unused. Email requests take over 48 hours to get answered with an answer that in no way clears up the matter. Customer Support is very limited if you do get them on the phone as they will forward to their tech team your issue. How is that helpful after waiting 1/2 an hour. If you want a whole product then you must buy everything in bits and pieces - I want a product with all the features not buy a little here and a little there and will ask you each time you go to use a feature if you want to purchase more. Premium - Pro - Business - Anywhere should have all the features -

Avantages :

The product allows me to manipulate pdf's otherwise blocked from editing - Great when someone creates a form that you need to edit to use. The price was great considering the alternatives. Adobe just got greedy.

Inconvénients :

Going from Free to Premium it often wants me to purchase more for a feature that Premium already should have. Or wants you to purchase separately operations in which should be a standard for the Premium product

Alternative to Adobe

Commentaires : The ease of use and daily interaction with same is good and allows the company to do what it needs to do with regards to portable document management.

Avantages :

Soda was selected as an alternative to Adobe based on price and was presently surprised to find what was covered in the base product when comparing.

Inconvénients :

The initial set up was tricky as it is linked to an online account and having a second account caused issues.

Poor support and confusing re-purchase procedure.

Commentaires : Great program but suddenly stops. The customer support and activation process is pathetic. Will probably look for another pdf program as my time is too valuable to waste on a product which is too clumsy to be involved with.

Avantages :

All round a very good program and easy to use.

Inconvénients :

Previous copy suddenly stopped working 5 months after installation. Assumed perhaps expiry date may have been reached so bought a new copy. Activation code not sent for newly purchased copy. Support response just heaps of pro-forma pre written garbage messages from auto responder.

Generates and edits PDFs for free

Commentaires : In the case that it worked like it should, this would be of use to many people. I did not experience that however and I won’t use Soda PDF in the future.

Avantages :

This is a less expensive way to generate and edit PDFs, if using the free version. Soda is similar to the expensive software and still identifies text within images and converts Word and Excel to PDFs. E-signing is included and saves time in a variety of situations.

Inconvénients :

It isn’t reliable at all, I click and nothing happens, I wait and nothing happens, crash.. Customer support could’ve been more helpful and polite.

Finding this product totally saved the day!

Commentaires : I like it (almost) as much as the expensive program I use on my work computer. In fact, I may suggest it to other coworkers for their home computers especially while we are working at home during COVID.

Avantages :

What a gem of a find. I was getting ready for a two-day hearing using a popular video platform and had a bunch of PDFs I needed to screen share. The PDF reader on my laptop, which I was using for the video hearing, was not showing up in the screen sharing option. My boss just said, fix it! I searched through Google and found this. I first went with the free version but after bookmarking multiple pages in preparation, I discovered it would not save them. I purchased it at that point with no regrets. It is very nice software, especially for the money, and suited my needs for this perfectly.

Inconvénients :

It would have been nice to know that I couldn't save the PDF with changes I made with the free version, but very understandable. For the price, it was no problem purchasing it, and as I said before, it totally saved me!

Doesn't work as promised and customer support sucks

Commentaires : SodaPDF worked fine when I first installed it, but after one of the updates, I was no longer able to scan documents or connect to the internet to update the software. I sent support an email - that's the only way to contact them. It took 2-3 days to get an email response requesting more details. I answered their questions, and again, it took 2-3 days to get a response back. At that point, support indicated that my problems were associated with the most recent update. It's been a month since the problems started and all SodaPDF wants to do at this point is close my case. I asked for a refund of my money, but was informed that I was past the company's 30-day money-back policy. I purchased the software on March 7th and the problems started before the 30-day period ended. At this point, I either keep wasting my time and energies trying to get this situation resolved or accept that I'm stuck with a product that does not work as promised.

Avantages :

When it worked correctly, I liked the scanning and password protection features the most.

Inconvénients :

SodaPDF automatically sets up SodaPDF as the default PDF reader. That would be ok except that SodaPDF takes longer to load and is inferior to Adobe's reader.

Great everyday tool for office work

Commentaires : It makes my daily tasks as an software engineer simpler. I have to deal with loads of documents everyday, having a single tool which can handle most of the simple stuff helps me in saving time. I can also easily send and manage documents with my teammates easily through this tool.

Avantages :

Converting different file types to pdf is easy and fast. So is combining different pdfs in one pdf file and all of them can be rearranged as needed. Hence PDFs can be easily customised. Pictures, signatures, text etc can also be added. All these features make the office work a lot simpler. For signatures, you don't have to sign documents physically, which saves a lot of time. The software is also easy to download and install and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Inconvénients :

I don't have any big complaints. But I wish uploading bigger files would have been a little quicker, though it's manageable.

customer service is the horrible --- run

Soda PDF is an indispensable tool for designing pdf documents

Avantages :

Soda PDF is a software that allows me to save time in my work, by transforming my documents into a collaborative space by adding notes and comments directly. with its simple use of its features, I can easily create, convert, merge, split and create/insert my electronic signature my files.

Inconvénients :

I don't see any drawbacks with the software, its use is simple and we have a free trial version.
