Commentaires : Selon mon experience, j'utilise Geekbot afin de résoudre les rapports quotidiens dans l'ordre. N'importe qui peut se référer au geekbot afin de planifier sa journée.

Avantages :

Le plus apprécié dans ce logiciel est la facilité de son intégration dans Slack, ainsi la possibilité de le configurer facilement. Aussi, on peut modifier les questions afin de répondre à nos besoins.

Inconvénients :

Le moins apprécié dans ce logiciel est le fait qu'on peut pas ajouter une question sans la créer ou la générer dans le bot.

Inconvénients :

Geekbot prend un peu de temps lors de partage des fichiers

A less intrusive team check-in for remote teams that's easy to use

Commentaires : Geekbot allows for us to have more regular check-ins and stand-up meetings with employees on a remote team. Being on a remote team is quite lonely at times and having Geekbot be a non-committal daily check-in really helps us stay on the same page with our team. The other reports are interesting and I'm excited to collect more datapoints over-time to get a nice gauge on how the team is feeling as a whole.

Avantages :

The interface is incredibly easy to use and the onboarding/setup was super clean. I have used other players in the space like Standuply and felt somewhat overwhelmed with functionality. Geekbot has a far better UI/UX and reporting process. We have found our home with Geekbot.

Inconvénients :

That there is no free tier. We are a small team and many of their competitors have a free tier for small teams. It has gotta be tough competing with that, but they are definitely taking a step in the right direction with their simplicity and superior UX. I do wish that you could default the manual "report" check-in functionality as we have a daily check-in and a bi-weekly retrospective. 99.9% of the time you are going to do the daily check-in manually by typing "report", but it has you select which of the 2 reports you want to report on.

It works great

Avantages :

We use Geekbot to do a virtual daily standup on Slack instead of needing to have daily meetings. It saves us time and helps us understand what our colleagues are working on and what they need help with.

Inconvénients :

I have no complaints about Geekbot. It's very straightforward.

Geekbot review from an Agile scrum POV

Avantages :

This is an asynchronous way to run your team's huddle or standup. This is best suited for small teams or smaller companies with no more than 5-6 people in a team. This helps you save time and get to uncover very quickly where you team is blocked on and what they have been up to.

Inconvénients :

As mentioned above, it is okay for teams no more than 6 people. If more, it becomes quite cluttered and overwhelming to handle so many updates at once. This application is best for asynchronous updates and not task or project management. One can get only a daily view but not a weekly or monthly view for medium to large-sized projects. To get a bigger picture view for a Manager, this application should be best used with a ticketing software like Asana, Jira or Linear.

Easy, quick and just what we needed

Avantages :

So easy to deploy, manage and customize to our needs, this is exactly what we needed in this pandemic. We are now 9 people working remotely and Geekbot just makes things so easier for us in this context. Slack integration is as easy as it is a lifesaver!

Inconvénients :

We've only tested the basic features but are priced for the full thing. Segmented pricing options would be great for small startups like ourselves, maybe?

Interface is simple to understand, daily survey was easy to create and implement, no glitches in execution, and all the responses are rounded periodically into one report that gets sent to the admin via email

No ability to aggregate and report all responses into one report that gets delivered at a specific time

Great tool for Daily Syncs

Avantages :

Geekbot easily aggregates the daily updates from all our teams so our managers can easily see what problems need immediate attention. It saves time which can be devoted to other tasks. Highly recommended!

Avantages :

We use Geekbot for our agile team's standup reports, with features like flexible scheduling for individual or channel requests, accommodating different time zones, delivering reports to the client channel for visibility, providing comment notifications, and its easy setup and customization options, allowing us to effortlessly streamline our standups and enhance collaboration. I am also a fan of telling it I'm on vacation and it knows when to restart itself.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes when I have a bot running for too many teams / channels I do miss an update. It tries to be smart enough that it doesn't have me reporting on more than one thing at a time (a conflict I have created as an admin) and it pauses one when the next one starts. So, I can forget to go back to the paused one.

Our team have been using geekbot for years and it really makes our life easir. we integrated it on slack so we can share our daily to do and this help us in coordinating work between each other and schedule how the working day is going to run. Moreover, we are using geekbot to generate daily reports on the operations channel so this ease the process of organizing the day flow and end of day flow.

At Trackener, we are a small startup (5 team members) and we are following the agile methodology. Standups are important for us to know on a daily basis who's doing what, and make sure our team is always focusing on what matters the most. We had trouble finding an hour to schedule those standups since our CEO is always on the move, one of our team members is working part time mostly on evenings, and we often all work remotely. Doing it on Slack with Geekbot, whenever someone starts his workday, was really a good idea because it enables us to keep that good habit of daily reporting our work while not necessarily doing it all at the same time. Among the interesting features that Geekbot provides are the reminders (if you don't do your standup, expect to be harassed!) and it tells you what you commited to do the day before, when you start your report. We've used it daily in our team for more than 3 months and it's totally part of our daily routine.

Inconvénients :

There are a lot of features that we do not need though (like the dashboard, tracking, etc).

Great product for teams!

We are a distributed small team that has members from 3 different countries, and we manage our daily standups + retrospectives through Geekbot. Geekbot allowed us to implement daily standup culture within our team without leaving Slack. So far it has helped everyone to get up-to-speed with how to approach the project management culture we are trying to implement and it allowed everyone to see the progress being made, documented and openly appreciated.

Inconvénients :

It's so simple, also there are some preset meetings for daily standup or retrospective, etc. They're really helpful to us.

Commentaires : Overall it saves time talking to individual person about their progress. Till date had good experience with the bot.

Avantages :

It's timely reminder helped me to get timely report of my team mates work progress. Daily reminder for their on going work progress, hurdles they are facing. Set up daily meeting reminders and calendar events.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it feels like talking to a bot. It will be nice if we have some more AI feature in this.

Quick and convenient tool that saves the team lots of time while keeping it synced

Avantages :

We were looking for a tool for our team to help us keep each other updated without the need for a meeting. We value the asynchronous way of working very much. In my role at another company, I have already come across Geekbot as a kind of recognition bot. So we gave it a try here, too, and were quickly thrilled. The configuration, set-up and customisation process was super easy and straightforward. Through a weekly message in Slack, we can now asynchronously recognise other team members, celebrate community wins and share a general status update. Since we have a free Slack plan, it's even nicer to have the Geekbot dashboard with all the historical data.

Inconvénients :

If I could wish just one thing, it would be some kind of input validation or more input options. For example, to define number intervals and ease quantitative mood checks (e.g. 1-10 scale, 1-5 stars,..) However, since this is indirectly possible in other ways, there is no point penalty for this 😉

I used geekbot to facilitate scrum for my team located in the US (east and west coast) and India

Avantages :

Geekbot really helped information flow between our US and India teams. It was originally hard for us to keep track of what everyone else was doing, and there was no convenient time to have a scrum because of the 12 hour time difference. After using geekbot, people were able to jump in and help others because they knew what they were working on. It also helped increase the accountability on the team by having a team wide commitment to what everyone was working on.

Inconvénients :

I wish there was integration with Jira - that way, you can easily see the tickets others are working on without having to search them yourself. I've been told this integration is coming, though!
