It's affordability and versatility. The ability to have people on ACH subscriptions is a large plus.
The pricing change is too bad given our corporate structure.

The cheapest tool to get your invoices paid.
Avantages :
I've been using Plooto for a little under a year now and it is incredible, it sync's directly with quickbooks and allows me to get my domestic invoices paid for under a 1$ per transaction! The flat-rate fee is a game-changer for me, and means I don't have to pay Stripe's 2.9% transaction fee every time.
Inconvénients :
Two downsides: - With QuickBooks recurring transactions, you can't sync a recurring transaction with a recurring receivable in QuickBooks so Plooto marks each recurring transaction as paid, you have to do this manually. - Payment times can be anywhere from 3 - 7 days which is a little slow. Stripe offers instant payout which is a game changer. If Plooto could also offer instant payout for a flat rate that would make this software god-tier.

Time Saver
Avantages :
Plooto has reduced our payment processing time down from 4-5 hours twice a month to paying our key vendors on a weekly basis in 45 minutes. We went from cutting over 50 cheques to completely electronic payment methods, with the option to still send cheques to vendors that prefer it. It is very easy to use and syncs perfectly with QuickBooks Online. They give excellent transparency on timelines of your payment statuses so you can keep vendors informed of when they can expect payment. Customer service is right at your finger tips and gives almost immediate help through their chat feature.
Inconvénients :
Some vendors can be skeptical to enter banking details into a third party payment processor.
It appears to have it all until you use it.
Commentaires : Not Good. Really ambitious to make it work I like the concept but they make it very hard to be a client.
Avantages :
I like that it can process both bank or credit card payments for receivables. It can provide automation too but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I like the price. And I like that it linked into xero. It appears to have it all until you use it.
Inconvénients :
1) Its not easy to use, no introduction. 2) the automation component never worked for me I know I had to get PAD on but I wanted it on for some clients off for others and this was not an easy thing to set. It also doesn't allow me to store the credit card something like Quickbooks online I had in mind but this is a complete oversight to the program. I guess if automation actually worked then this could solve this issue. 3) Ya I was very confused but when my clients couldn't figure it out either, some ended up with duplicate payments pulled from their accounts etc. No help to fix very embarrassing. 4) their live chat is not live. You ask a question and wait. Fine to get started but even in the middle of conversation to deal with issues they just disappear. The conversation is not live. Sometimes they don't even read my questions which makes me think not a real person is helping me. 5) Money holding ridiculous! If a client due date on invoice was 30 days and they paid me next day I had to wait until what my invoice said for due date on payment. Plus when money drops into my account there is no PLOOTO ID on the deposit. Very confusing for trying to reconcile. 6) Plooto reconciled in Xero in its own little account but doesn't reconcile with the bank account. Weird and confusing.
Great system for small businesses and non-profits.
Commentaires : Overall its a great system and we have moved the majority of our clients over to it. There are some limitations but they just require a work around.
Avantages :
It is great for tracking the approval process for payments and providing an alternative method of payment for invoices.
Inconvénients :
Customer service has been a struggle for us. It is hard to get in touch with someone when we have questions or concerns. It would be nice if there was a way to receive approval for payment but to submit the payment offline. Sometimes payments need to be submitted by credit card or paper check and we cannot use the system for tracking approval for those.

Fantastic option for an accounting firm!
Commentaires : Very positive and highly recommended
Avantages :
We've transformed our accounting firm from traditional "after the fact" billing and collection, to a monthly recurring fee model using Plooto. It has automated one of the most painful parts of running an accounting firm. Our clients love to do their own Receivables, Payables and CRA payments using Plooto.
Inconvénients :
Reports functionality is lacking It takes time for clients to get a hang of it initially when setting up PAD.
Overall a good option to manage Payables and Receivables
Avantages :
Plooto is a user friendly software, easy to use and convenient. I was able to sync with QuickBooks, which makes the process even easier.
Inconvénients :
There are some functions that could be added/improved in the reporting area and external user experience.
Great financial software for small and mid-sized organizations
Commentaires : We use the software for payment of invoices including external vendors, staff reimbursements, and payroll. Works perfectly for us. Just a few clicks and there are adequate checks and balances features to ensure accountability and security.
Avantages :
As a small association, with few vendors and accounts payable/receivable, the software works very well for us. While I'm sure it can also be used for larger organizations and may have lots of advanced functions, the core user interface, notifications, integrations and other features are perfect for our smaller organizations. No unnecessary complications.
Inconvénients :
I suppose if anything, if you need to reverse a payment already in process it can be a bit of a challenge but have only experienced that once.
Makes everything easier and more transparent
Commentaires : For us, we moved over to Plooto after it was highly recommended by our Board and vendors. Having made the move from cheques to electronic payments not that ago, we didn't realize that payments could actually be very simple. The pandemic has made other platforms more difficult to use because they're often kept on one computer and managed by one person which makes contingencies and redundancies impossible.
Avantages :
We haven't been using Plooto for very long but the setup was incredibly easy. I think the best feature is that payments are very clear with the invoice attached as well as pathway and dates for the payment process. Everything is also very easy to use and transparent and the fact that it's on the cloud means everyone who needs to access it can without having to be at a particular terminal or computer. This feature alone increases financial transparency.
Inconvénients :
Understanding the different roles and needs took a little longer than expected but that wasn't hard. I'd love to be notified when approvals are made and payments are processed.
Essential software for any business
Commentaires : The fees I pay to receive payments from clients have been drastically reduced since switching to Payment Evolution. The PAD feature has improved my cash flow.
Avantages :
The software is very easy and intuitive to use. No training is necessary. The software links to QBO so there is no need to re-enter invoice details and when the client approves the payment, my A\R is automatically updated. This software is "Payment Processing for Dummies".
Inconvénients :
I did not find any negative features yet.
Reliable and easy to use software
Commentaires : Overall satisfied with the service
Avantages :
Plooto is reliable and easy to use. The price is inline with other similar products. I like that there is no contract and that we can put the account on hold at any time
Inconvénients :
Could be better value for the cost. Only 10 transactions included with the base fee - other similar products have many more transactions included for not much more cost
How Plooto Saved Me
Avantages :
Supporting associations with multiple signatories this has been a world of difference in my process flow and the quality and timeliness of payment processing. Each of signatories is set up and whosh off go payments. Was for several years using postal services or meeting in person. A couple of postal strikes later during which i felt i was losing the plot. Labelling/addressing envelopes (small operation so no stamps or administrative assistants), going to post office. And same on the other end for the receivers. Also had a situation of a missing cheque and bank account fraud as well. Am sure it was a payment to service provider that disappeared. Suddenly draws to the bank account are coming from all over Canada for large amounts. And then I bumped into Plooto at a QBO Conference...LIFE CHANGING. Not to speak of today's world where I'm limiting as much errand running as possible.
Inconvénients :
Used to be support was on phone live. really hate the chat funciton, somehow my descriptions never get captured by the feed, they receive blanks on support end. So it is really a pain. don't know why and know it must be a set up thing but have not been able to solve.

I saved hours of work and thousands of dollars using plooto
Commentaires : Overall I'm very happy with Plooto, will continue to use it and encourage other business to use it.
Avantages :
It's way cheaper than credit card fees and saves time over cashing cheques.
Inconvénients :
Some payment changes can take a little longer than I feel they should. I tried to cancel a payment that was to be debited later that day. It still went through because it was too short notice.

Plooto Works Great
Commentaires : Good customer service and very functional software.
Avantages :
Plooto has the functionality and the security that I need for my clients. It works well and require little time for my clients to approve.
Inconvénients :
I wish they went back to the per payment pricing they had before. It worked better for my client who pays maybe 5 one month and then 50 the next.
Plooto cuts down our carbon footprint
Commentaires : Plooto has provided a good venue for transactions to be completed in a timely and effective way. There is excellent ability to track transactions through the whole process. This allows any issues to be clearly resolved.
Avantages :
The approval process embedded in Plooto allows us to bridge physical distances between approvers with digital access. Reduces the need to travel to acquire approvals and improves security by reducing potential loss exposures.
Inconvénients :
The functional environment takes some getting used to. Can still get to the end of a transaction and not have a readily apparent way to initiate another sequence. Has taken some time to understand how all of the information going into the system is presented to the vendors, to ensure there is clarity in the transaction.
Great Value and Dependable
Commentaires : Like I said...I am saving over $100 per month in processing fees since I switched to Plooto and once I got past the "set up" stage. I really love Plooto and am wishing I had set it up years ago, but I think they should let us that have "official" PAD agreements ...set up the reoccurring payments like QB Payments did =( Making that reoccurring payment set up...a lot more simpler would make Plooto just about perfect =)
Avantages :
I LOVE the lower processing fees!!! I'm saving over a $100 a month by using Plooto. Once it is set up, the reoccurring payments is awesome. Their customer service was good too. Overall Plooto is an awesome addition to my business and one that I wish I had implemented YEARS ago! Great value for the monthly fee and so far...it has been very dependable in collecting my accounts receivable.
Inconvénients :
It was a lot harder to set up than I thought it would be =( My clients had to jump thru a lot of hoops to get the reoccurring payments set up and some were not happy about it =( I had PAD agreements for all of my clients, but Plooto does not accept those. So I have several clients that I cannot process their payments in Plooto even tho I have a PAD agreement with them and they have already given me their payment information ...but they haven't repeated the same process in Plooto ...so my PAD agreements are worthless now=(
Great system for AP/AR
Commentaires : Great system will continue to use it
Avantages :
Its super easy to send/request money. Funds transfer pretty quickly.
Inconvénients :
If there is a technical glitch, it isn't easy to fix
Best range of options from existing software providers
Commentaires : Currently we are having issues with cheques not showing as being deposited for the last few months however the support team is trying to resolve this issue. Other than this, Plooto offers a lot of functionality that does improve the ease of processing AP.
Avantages :
It connects to QBO and allows easy reconciliations as well as automatic set up of payments which is very helpful. Allows set up of recurring payments and recurring deposits easily
Inconvénients :
A report that includes cheque numbers would be very helpful for tracking payments. It would also be helpful if, when vendor names are not exact matches, it allowed the user to select from existing vendors set up.
ease of use
Commentaires : Not having to write cheques and mail them out Inputing the invoices only once in our Accounting Software and then Plooto does the work Very time and cost effective and being in the Cloud, can work from anywhere!
Avantages :
the ease of syncing invoices from Xero to plooto Like that Plooto now issue cheque to our vendors that does not want to provide their banking info
Inconvénients :
Nothing comes to mind at this time based on our requirments
sam
Commentaires : otherwise i like it
Avantages :
it is a handy payable tool which integrates with qbs
Inconvénients :
for the last few months, i've had to put up with the web connector not being able to auto run by itself, i have to manually run it, and constantly the app permission window comes up and makes me give permission. Also, it would be a plus if Plooto would handle any vendor credits or refunds
A great timesaver (no more running around town for director signatures)
Commentaires :
As a small charity, when COVID-19 hit and social distancing measures were put in place, getting signatures on cheques from off-site directors was a problem. Then the office closed down and I no longer had access to the one director in the office. Another director had used Plooto with another organisation she was involved with and recommended it. We found it relatively easy to setup and get started with.
Because our income is all by donation we don't use the accounts receivable option.
Avantages :
Being able to set authorization levels and have dual signatures required was essential for us. As a charity it is important to have oversight by more than one director. Writing then chasing down signatures when issuing 60+ grant cheques at once was time consuming. It's much faster (and easier) to simply setup the payments as approvals come in then let the directors authorize at a time convenient to them.
Inconvénients :
We linked it to our accounting software and it would be nice if a transaction number was input into the accounting software in case we need to track between the two systems.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment :
Good value until the pricing model was changed
Commentaires : We would have continued as a customer however the change in pricing model drove us to change
Avantages :
It was easy to use for the payer and payee
Inconvénients :
The company changed the pricing model without notice. It was no longer a good value
SP North America Feedback
Avantages :
Its easy to use and by passes the limitations via the big 5 banks.
Inconvénients :
It would be great if we could implement this software via e-commerce with plugins. Finally, the credit card feature with an actual refund option.
Plooto Review
Avantages :
Easy to use and train new staff, reasonably priced.
Inconvénients :
Unable to search by vendor to set up payments Unable to sort by vendor, then by invoice number or due date Unable to set preferences such as view 100 per page USD import of paid bills does not populate currency rate, imports at 1.00
Brookside
Avantages :
Saves time for not sending cheques in mail
Inconvénients :
Payroll option might be handy.
Efficient process but too long for trans to complete. Plooto 5 bus. days...competitior 24-48 hrs
Commentaires : We use it for 2 of the 5 companies in our group. A third was abandoned because the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] became frustrated with the setup process and subsequent delay in processing payments, especially for USD. A fourth ( a financial services division) is on hold because the insurance bond has excluded the use of Plooto.
Avantages :
Yes. comparatively user friendly. Large fields and navigation.
Inconvénients :
The payment confirmation has a code with the big green checkmark but no detail. Needs to have at least payee or amount to cross reference so that can be used in place of, say, a cheque stub. The follow-up alternative is to wait for the deposit confirmation days later or reprint the payment report detail month which doubles the effort.
