Great for Small Business Scheduling

Avantages :

I run a small business, 3 employees, so a traditional time clock is insane overkill, but I needed something for employees to clock in and out, view their schedules, and make requests. Zoomshift has work really well for us - we have had them for 3 years and I have never questioned about getting rid of the program. Its nice for scheduling on my end, but also notifies the employees of new shifts and shift reminders. Also, if can be app based that my employees just use their phones to clock in and out which can be helpful. Plus there is a GPS feature so employees cannot clock in with their phones if they are not at work - which has helped with a few teen employees in the past. I think for the price it provides great features and has been extremely helpful.

Inconvénients :

I do wish that when you achieve an employee that their shift information from the past stayed on reports. It wouldn't be the end of the world if when you were archiving them you could download their shift history, which you can, but its limited to 3 months (?). With my last employee that left, I had to spend 20 minutes trying to download his shift history just in case I need it down the road for reporting.

Mission critical to our operation

Commentaires : It helps keep an overview of all staffing, allows them to check-in, and for me to approve timesheets.
End of the month staff download their timesheets for the period and send them in with an invoice.
Because the hours they download are the same as the ones I see there are never any issues in reconciling.

Avantages :

It's the most effective scheduling software that we have used since opening our business 5 years ago. The ability to see staffing and make updates on the fly is incredibly powerful.

Inconvénients :

We have yet to find anything we dislike about the software specifically. We did however turn off the ability for staff to check in on mobile unless they were connected to the local wifi.

Buggy System with Poor Customer Service

Commentaires : Zoomshift has declined over the years. What once seemed like a great business that took pride in their product and customer service has changed to a business just trying to trek along. They aren’t fixing bugs, and keeping them in production so that other clients can face the same issues we have with incorrect times saving and locations randomly changing when entering data. It’s very frustrating as we use to like this system but are now looking for something different.

Avantages :

Seems simple but the issues occur when you least expect it, making it easy to miss them.

Inconvénients :

The customer service has declined dramatically over the last 6 years. They used to care and want to fix issues. Now they refuse to acknowledge issues and ask you to perform a lengthy workaround. The pride in the system has gone and the customer service is infuriating. Our businesses choose software to help us run our businesses, not make things harder. We will be switching from zoomshift.

Avantages :

This software has a lot of pros. First, it's very easy to add staff, to make schedules, and do copy schedules to following pages. The fact it has an app is a huge advantage. Also, the summary of the hours each work is really important for us because we have caps of how much we can schedule each employee. Also, the notes are great!

Inconvénients :

I wish I could mark events on days without it being in the schedule. Like an alert that says "Event until 10 am" over that specific day. Now I have to leave the notes in each employees shift and then when I copy it, delete every note.

I use zoom shift for scheduling and time keeping. It would be nice to be able to process payroll in the same app.

Just a few minor things. Cannot add multiple workers to one shift. Have to recreate the task and issue separately

The BEST scheduling software I have ever used!

Commentaires : I have been using ZOOM-SHIFT for about 6 months now and I have saved so much time in making staff's time sheet. It is so easy to use and I always get a prompt answer on questions I have asked. The customer is excellent and I would really recommend for small businesses.

Avantages :

With Zoomshift, You can save so much time planning and making employees schedules. You can make many adjustments such as changing employees working hours or working days and its hourly pay. Last minute change is available as you can simply click employee shift and make an adjustment. Also, it gives you a good picture of how much you are spending on your payroll and how much you are paying to each employee weekly. The print/export function also allows you to convert your schedule to pdf file which you can print and give it to your employees. "copy and paste" identical shift function also allows you to save so much time making employee schedule.

Inconvénients :

This is not really a con but is there a way to bring staff's schedule which is few weeks back? I know I can copy previous weeks schedule but I don't know yet if I can copy a schedule which is more than a week ago.

Awesome product

Commentaires : Where do I begin? Great value, it has been such a time saver. The employee's love it, they can check their schedule, ask for time off, swap shift or pick-up shifts from their computer or their phones anywhere anytime.

Avantages :

Nothing after I talk to them and they show me how to do their updates

Super simple and easy to use for a small company without a physical time clock on site.

Avantages :

We use the mobile clock in and clock out functionality every day and it just works, no problems, no complaints. Setup is easy, just create a new user in the system and the system sends an email with all the instructions for the user to get started. We don't need alot of bells and whitles but ZoomShift has them but the interface isn't so complex that the extras get in the way.

Inconvénients :

We don't use alot of the functionality but what we do use if flawless, no complaints.

Perfect stop-gap solution

Commentaires : We are using ZoomShift in the Amazon Books store while we wait for our Kronos implementation to be complete. We started with the scheduling piece, which is very user-friendly/easy to understand and manipulate, and are incorporating the new time clock feature within the next couple of weeks. Our associates use the app to check their schedule and send availability and timeoffs, which they love, and the drag-and-drop scheduling is a hit with our managers. In HR, we love being able to see everything that's going on from anywhere, and the built-in reporting on hours scheduled vs. worked saves us hours of manual work. While ZoomShift doesn't offer every single functionality that we'd like as a big company, it's been great as a stop-gap solution. ZoomShift customer service is the most responsive and helpful I've ever encountered. We're moving fast, and it's so nice to know that anytime we reach out to them we'll have an almost immediate answer and solution. Once, they even built a feature we asked for that they didn't have yet...within one day of us asking about it. I'd highly recommend ZoomShift to anyone looking for a time and attendance system for a small- to mid-sized business.

Dependable & Cost Effective Scheduling

Commentaires : It is an "out of sight, out of mind" app that helps us take care of business. It allows all staff and management to be on the same page for scheduling.

Avantages :

It does what we need it to do. It's cost effective, dependable & easy to use. It continues to evolve with features that we didn't even know we needed.

Inconvénients :

Slight learning curve at the beginning, very slight.

Commentaires : I employ 20 wonderful student employees, all with ever changing schedules, academic work, clubs and social outings. I use to spend five to six hours a week fussing over the Google Calendar schedule, and when anyone tried to drop/trade/or got sick, scheduling took over my entire work day. Zoomshift changed all of that. I have been a customer for almost three years now and cannot recommend this software enough. Most importantly Zoomshift helps us uphold standards as a work team. There is no longer any doubt that employees know when they work or can check readily. Employment Shift Application is Extremely Effective

Commentaires : Overall ZoomShift was an easy software to navigate through and was simple.

Avantages :

This software was extremely easy to access and create an account. Along with the helpful features that make it easy for managers and employers to schedule and communicate effectively.

Inconvénients :

The only bad thing about this software was the notifications delay. As my shifts were only reminders as soon as my shift started.

Commentaires : Great customer support. All of my questions have been answered! There are a few functions I wish it had but overall it has helped me to be more efficient when scheduling my staff. My staff love the feature of the app and being able to get alerts on their phones.

Avantages :

The app, it adds up my hours, it is color coded, pretty easy user-friendly.

I wish it had a way to set hour limits for each individual staff.

Commentaires : Zoom shift is a flexible and accessible tool for employees to be able to change their schedule to fit their needs. It's easy to make last minute changes to schedules, adjust employee hours while simultaneously being able to keep track on how much your spending on payroll. They offer exporting tools that are convenient for accounting. Overall i'm very satisfied with the product. The customer service is great, always friendly and checking up answering question and offering tips. It's very affordable for everything that it offers. It's a very user friendly tool that is easy to use for both employees and management. It has taken out all the hassle of scheduling!

Good so far but could have a few improvements

Commentaires : Zoomshift has worked great for us thus far even though we are using it in a different industry than its intended for. We managed to adjust the features in a way that they seem to work quite well. So far the biggest issue we have is NOT being able to drag shifts from week to week. The monthly view would be great if we could move shifts to another week which happens often in our industry. Another small thing that would be a great feature is the ability to sort locations alphabetically. Besides those 2 things everything has been working quite well.

Simple to use and straight to the point

Commentaires : I chose Zoomshift over other scheduling software because of the ease of use. The schedules i'm managing change weekly so I love the way I'm able to save a shift templates and just choose which shift is needed day by day. The interface allows me to drag and replace shifts if I accidentally schedule something in the wrong spot, which is helpful when I'm trying not to spend all day on schedules. The customer service is also great, every time I have a question I just chat in and Jon or Ben are super quick to reply back.

User-Friendly scheduling

Commentaires : Zoom shift offers a straightforward venue with easy to-set parameters that make scheduling simple. Vast improvements have been made with the newest version- which was also fine, however this is entirely better. Helpful, fast, and courteous customer service.

Saving time!

Commentaires : I was searching for a scheduling application for my small business and came across zoomshift, it has helped me to engage my mostly volunteer workforce in the scheduling process in a way that has saved me loads of time and stress. I have appreciated the prompt customer service and ease of use of the application. We have been using zoom shift for two months and are still learning the ins and out of it all, but would recommend it to other small businesses.
