Great Auction Softward

Commentaires : They are great with online auctions, they help give you insight and ideas to help you reach your goal

Avantages :

Customer service is great and friendly. They are knowledgeable and help you succeed. Quick responses anytime I had a question.

Inconvénients :

I wish they had a built in duplicate checker for donors who register twice. You have to run a report that shows you duplicates but it would be nice to check for duplicates without running a report.

OneCause Is Great for Events

Commentaires : Overall we've had a great experience with OneCause. This is specifically for our event online silent auctions, event online donations, and event check in. The check in for OneCause is fantastic and intuitive and mostly everything about the new platform is great. Inputting and packaging auction items is easy and works well, building the site is easy, etc. It all works so well and is easy to use and I think easy too from a user experience standpoint.

Avantages :

We switched over to the new OneCause Fundraising Platform and it is AMAZING. You can tell it was made and tested by actual fundraisers who actually put on fundraising events. The user experience is pretty great, and the customer service is incredible. I was a beta tester for the fundraising platform, and after we used it for the firs time, our customer service rep did a whole hour long breakdown with me and listened to me complain about all the things that went wrong lol. BUT THEN this year, we connected and she went down and addressed EVERY ISSUE we had had and shared whether it had been fixed or solved. They are constantly evolving and updating it. Seriously fantastic customer service. (shout out to Casey). Also our salesperson Mark, was great and we got a consultant for free when we first implemented OneCause plus waived ticketing fees. OH and the new platform has the AI Auction Description Assistant which is a GAME CHANGER. No more hours of writing interesting auction descriptions. Just click the AI generator and poof! You've got one. Most only need a few minor edits. SO HELPFUL. And check out is really a breeze with the new platform too and makes so much sense, so much easier to get people their auction items and paid and out the door.

Inconvénients :

On the one fundraising platform, electronic tickets are required, which is annoying for our older guests who have trouble with technology. So far, we have been able to work around it. Originally, you HAD to have it tied to an email address, so I literally sent electronic tickets to fake email addresses so our attendees wouldn't be bothered. Thankfully this year, they have done away with that, AND added an option to import tickets, which is really helpful. But it's just a little tricky to work around that. But the pros to the system far outway this con.

Fantastic Auction Resource!

Commentaires : OneCause has been fantastic to work with. Even being a small non-profit, we have maximized its use in every way. We have seen increased revenue in the ease for donor use.

Avantages :

I like how easy it is to navigate, duplicate events, and keep track from year to year. I like being able to pull reports for different events, and store donor information. Importing of info is easy, and great support and online resources, too!

OneCause for peer-to-peer fundraising

Commentaires : We use OneCause to support our peer-to-peer fundraising campaign.

Avantages :

OneCause is easy to set up, and easy to understand. Configuration is straightforward and can be done by someone with minimal tech skills.

Inconvénients :

Using OneCause - as an administrator or end user - is unintuitive. The design is poor and users receive unintelligible error messages. It really doesn't inspire confidence in the platform, which is pretty bad when you're trying to convince people to share their fundraising pages with others.

OneCause brought our fundraising out of the dark ages!

Commentaires : As with so many other non-profits, we were forced to pivot during the pandemic to find other ways to fundraise. We purchased OneCause as a result and as it turns out, was one of the best purchases we've made. There are many facets to OneCause including event management, online auction, donation tracking, credit card processing, etc. The event website build requires some patience, but OneCause provides an outstanding help center including a "University" to help users succeed. Each support request that I've had over the past 4 years has been answered in a timely manner. On top of all that, OneCause provides regular webinars covering a variety of helpful topics. The event management piece is easy to use and track attendees. The online auction provides an outstanding guest experience and has increased our silent auction proceeds from the antiquated paper bid sheets. Overall OneCause is a powerful fundraising tool, and we are happy to have this software in our fundraising toolbelt.

Avantages :

The best aspect of OneCause is the online auction. As important as the proceeds are from a fundraising event, the guest experience is just as important. Our guests are thrilled with the convenience that an online auction provides. The days of going back and forth to write down a bid are gone! OneCause delivers an outstanding, simple and convenient auction experience.

Inconvénients :

What I like the least about OneCause is building an event website. The inability of uploading photos and videos directly into the custom pages is inconvenient. Instead, photos need to be uploaded to Google or Dropbox and then the link is placed behind the scenes with some tweaks. The same process is required for videos.

Silent Auction Success

Commentaires : Streamlined, user friendly, and the support team was very helpful, especially [sensitive content hidden], our on-site event manager. She was wonderful. OneCause truly helped us save time, resources and maximize giving at our event, along with offering our guests a professional and forwarding thinking giving experience.

Avantages :

We used OneCause primarily as an auction management software. Our team loved how streamlined it made the bidding process, the close out process, and collecting payment. We are looking forward to next year's event now that our guests' information is already entered into OneCause because the check in process will be quick and easy, and we've learned a few things about how the software works best for us.

Inconvénients :

We are dismayed there is no way to share links to each individual auction item. We like to feature lots in our eblasts before our event, but it was frustrating only be able to share the link to the OneCause auction homepage rather than individual lots.

Commentaires : OneCause elevated our fundraising events to a level our rural community wasn't even necessarily ready for. However, it was quickly embraced and has helped us to reach further and raise more than we otherwise could have.

Avantages :

Bringing OneCause as a mobile bidding platform to our fundraising events elevated our reach, impact and fundraising goals.

Inconvénients :

Initially the cost was relatively large for us as we utilized onsite support for our large gala. However, a couple years in we became incredibly confident in the set up and usage of the software and now utilize it DIY for all of our events.

Fundraising Made Easy

Makes Event Management easy

There are some features that aren't coded into the platform that I think could enhance the experience, such as the ability to upload documents as a requirement for pre-registration.

Older Adult Friendly

Avantages :

I work For an adult daycare center and we use this platform for our yearly auction and all the caregivers love it. It’s very user friendly for them.

Inconvénients :

Setting up is a bit difficult and the price for a small non profit is a little steep.

It'll Get the Job Done

Commentaires : I would say that overall the end-user experience has been good with minimal complaints and confusion. The back-end for these systems is very confusing and takes a lot of technology understanding, Googling, calling the help center, and trial and error. There was a lot of frustration in our office as we navigated setting up the system (both years, because we unfortunately had to learn an entirely new system this year from the one we learned last year). I am so glad the events went well and the end-users were pleased with the experience, but the set-up was definitely hard to navigate. I hope the new VEC is more set-up friendly, and will integrate more of the OneCause products into one location.

Avantages :

The end-user experience was seamless and fairly easy to navigate. Our donors were impressed and excited about the interactivity and the ability to participate in the silent auction and get reminders right on their phones. We hosted an event last year in-person and used the Mobile Bidding Software for our silent auction, and our revenue was significantly increased because of the engagement. We then used the Virtual Event Software for an entirely virtual event this year including a silent and live auction and appeal. The engagement was great, and our live auction went far better than expected.

Inconvénients :

The fact that the Mobile Bidding Software (MBS) and the Virtual Event Center (VEC) do not integrate and the VEC was still under construction make it hard to leave a review for what I liked least. But in terms of the MBS; the software is not very intuitive and there are a lot of areas where I didn't like having to duplicate my process (like in the item vs. package). The reports you could run at the end using the MBS were really helpful, but the VEC had hardly any options for reporting and we had to create a lot of our own reports, which was incredibly time consuming. The lack of ticketing functionality in the VEC led us to use the MBS for ticketing only and then we had to comp every single ticket individually because the VEC did not allow us to upload a csv file for all of our comped tickets. There are a lot of pieces that can be improved in the VEC but they are planning to improve them as they continue to build the software. More knowledge about the system in the "help center" and "knowledge bank" would have been really great.

Proves Tools for Success

Commentaires : OneCause has been an overall positive addition to our fundraising toolkit. They provide immediate support when needed.

Avantages :

OneCause provides the tools including a knowledge base and customer success managers to ensure your event goes off without a hitch.

Inconvénients :

The OneCause software is split between BidPal and P2P. The P2P is a lot more modern and has a sleek design. The BidPal software could greatly benefit from an upgrade with a more intuitive and user-friendly backend.

Commentaires : Overall, we're very happy with OneCause. It's got the features we want, it's reliable, and customer service is second to none.

Avantages :

This year, I'd say what I like most is that it allows us to hold silent auctions despite COVID but in general the software works like it's supposed to and offers all the features we want. Additionally, I can't say enough about their customer support -- they are knowledgeable, prompt, and cheerful while they help you. This replaced some older auction software that didn't allow for mobile bidding. For the most part our guests love the mobile bidding. It's fun and keeps everyone interested until the last minute of the auction.

Inconvénients :

The cost makes us stop and consider alternative products every once in a while. Also, there are MANY reports to choose from, which is great, but I spend a lot of time finding the one I want. It'd be nice if they were organized differently.

A great software to transition to!

Commentaires : It really is a great software, especially coming from the limited software our organization previously had.

Avantages :

OneCause really thinks through what the user needs to have a successful event. My volunteers loved it and the need help document links directly to the page you need, rather than searching for the relevant information.

Inconvénients :

There are so many great customizable options that I would assume there would be even more customizable flexibility for the user, but that is not always the case. OneCause gives you the tools and resources to be successful, but sometimes the ability to make your own report, or set up a sponsor or ticketing system with certain specifications isn't as easy.

Excellent product

Commentaires : We lost many in-person fundraising opportunities with Covid and this has been the perfect pivot. While first holding only virtual fundraisers, we have been able to do a hybrid one as well as a silent auction. Going forward, the hybrid option seems to be the best choice for us, as our members are worldwide and this can be open to every one of them.

Avantages :

During Covid, it was critical to pivot from in-person fundraising to virtual fundraising and I learned about OneCause from my son's school fundraiser. The program was easy to learn and we've progressed from virtual only to hybrid fundraising and also held a silent auction. We have converted another department to also use the program and had two different fundraisers happening at the same time.

Inconvénients :

Our members are international. My own department only works with members in the United States, but when bringing this to other departments in the company we ran into difficulties with members outside the U.S.; however customer support has been awesome and helps walk us through everything when these issues arise.

Commentaires : One Cause's greatest asset is their people. The One Cause personnel is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure working with every OneCause representative that I encountered.

Avantages :

Software is easy to use and the tutorials are very helpful. OneCause has a complete suite of tools to make event management and fundraising a breeze.

Inconvénients :

I wish it offered the user the ability to be more visual. I wish that One Cause offered an online market that anyone could utilize to bid on auction prizes or to show their generosity and support.

Great Event Processing

Avantages :

Above and beyond, OneCause's customer service is one of the main reasons to try this product. The customer service is readily available for any support large to small and responds to any inquiry with efficiency. OneCause is also a great platform for event payment processing - simple for donors and simple for staff.

Inconvénients :

The reports features could have more definitions/learning on which report pulls what. The registration/log-in for donors to the online giving could also be simplified - a few of our donors didn't want to go through a log-in process and just donate, but we couldn't figure out how to do that.

OneCause is wonderful!

Commentaires : We've used OneCause for smaller fundraising events with a silent auction and large gala events with a live auction. For any event, it's been the key to our event success.

Avantages :

The customer service sets OneCause apart. Knowing that you can always speak with someone at OneCause leading up to your event is incredible. They answer the phone quickly and are so easy to understand. They always present the optimal way to set it up too. The software is very intuitive to use. Both event attendees and employees have positive interaction with the software.

Inconvénients :

I can't think of any -- it's really a great platform.

Customer Service at it's Best

Commentaires : The best asset that OneCause has is the people that work there. Every question is quickly answered, and the phone support staff seems genuinely excited about helping. For "in person" events, the support staff is invaluable. Even with virtual events, our normal person was just a phone call away as the auction was ending

Avantages :

The product is easy to use. It shows the items and packages very well online. The bidding features are excellent, and help encourage donors to bid. It can be updated and changed rapidly. The custom features really help donors focus on the needs and the stories of the organization, and add to their desire to bid on tiems.

Inconvénients :

There aren't any cons for us right now in the way we use the program.

A successful auction earns OneCause a happy customer

Commentaires : OneCause is a great, affordable fundraising and event managing software with awesome customer service and reports/analytics.

Avantages :

The features that I used and appreciated the most were mobile marketing, ticketing, and reports/ analytics. The customer service at OneCause is top notch. I was responded to immediately with affective answers.

Inconvénients :

The dashboard and lingo used in OneCause could be more intuitive (donors vs supporters for example). My organization did a silent auction of mostly fine art. I was not thrilled with the low-resolution photos that were too small to see the art. If you upload more than one photo, you cannot click to see the photos unless you pause and stay on the page for several seconds. I ended up having to create a high resolution share folder and insert the link into the description of each auction package. Several donors (young and old) could not easily see the various sub-groups and only looked at the Featured Items tab so I ended up including all packages in the featured items tab.

Expensive and Unreliable

Commentaires : Everyone has their own experience and expectations, so I will not go as far as not recommending this solution. However, there are a lot of other solutions that offer just as much for far less. I won’t be returning to this solution anytime soon.

Avantages :

All in one system makes the auction flow smoothly. For an out of the box system, BidPal is one of the originals in this space. The user interface is quite pleasing and easy to use from the attendee perspective.

Inconvénients :

Very expensive for the use of the app and even more expensive when you add on support staff. There is also a lot of prework that takes some skill. My recommendation, or lack of one, stems from the support staff on hand who missed the cue to show the live text to give on the screen and we fell massively short of the goal for that and I attribute this to the engagement factor being missed. The company was very quiet about the response and avoided me. Yet they had no delay in the final billing. I am not a fan of the percentage system and when I used them in 2015 this was the case. All auction items had 15% right off the top. These were items we secured for the Nonprofit, not them.

OneCause Review

Avantages :

The Go Page made it easy to train volunteers and split out tasks without people needing to learn the bulk of the site. The Giving Center was easy to set up and use, and looked very good from the customer perspective.

Inconvénients :

There was not enough customization while using the reports, so it was hard to pull one report that had all the data we needed. In addition, there were sometimes too many steps to get from point A to point B when finding information about packages and people. The navigation of the Planner could be streamlined.

OneCause has incredible customer service!

Commentaires : The customer service from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] made all the difference for me. If I didn't receive the stellar service from her, I would've been quite frustrated! She really helped me navigate the program and now I feel like a pro!

Avantages :

The reporting is awesome and once built, the website looks great. It does take a lot to learn how to create the site, BUT [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was absolutely incredible and had stellar customer service.

Inconvénients :

I had difficulty with uploading pictures and files. I needed to have our graphic designer upload them for me.

I really like the user interface for our donors. They can easily navigate our online giving center.

Inconvénients :

My least favorite thing is that it can be hard to determine which report will show me what I want to see and the process of pulling reports is very clunky.

Commentaires : We've overall had a great experience with OneCause. The customer service is key and probably one of the most important aspects to us because we are a small organization. The price keeps rising which is tough and it would be great if tiered pricing was considered for smaller budget operations. When the price keeps going up it is tough.

We pivoted to OneCause in 2020 and it has been a game changer. The ease of uploading and the broadening of our existing base of supporters through posting online has made an impact in our revenue. The ease of collecting payments is so important and has caused much less stress.

Inconvénients :

The photo quality, size, and ability to add multiple photos could be better. It's a little tricky to navigate initially, but the customer service is great! The check-in at live event wasn't smooth and the ability to swipe a card would be so much easier.
