Commentaires : It helped me from the day of sowing or planting of crops to the days of harvesting through notifying about every crop and soil requirements which help to increase production and productivity.

Avantages :

Granular is one of the best farm management tools to date. It helps to manage everything on a farm. It provides different information such as water requirements, climatic requirements, and other requirements of a crop which helps to find out the best crop for the farm. After that, it notifies about the requirements of the crop for proper growth and development that helps to maximize the farm production and soil productivity. This software helps to maintain both crop and soil health.

Inconvénients :

There is no downtime for this software till now. The regular updates and addition of new and useful features would be appreciated.

Microscope for Farm Operation

Commentaires : Overall I have had a positive experience. My customer success advisor has made sure my needs are met and if I am too busy in the field they will even add in or switch data for my operation while I am on the phone. This program has also allowed me to dive deeper into analyzing field by field profitability, track various field practices and how they relate to yield as well as the ability to be a data cache for all farm related financials and yield for things like crop insurance.

Avantages :

Granular has the best product support I have ever dealt with. From my customer success advisor to in app help, it is top notch. Granular also integrates well with various manufacturers equipment in terms of data transfer, allowing ease of use no matter what level of comfort with technology. Finally, this program is a total systems approach to my farm management. From documenting land rents, recording in season work to tracking grain contracts and grain inventory; it is all accessible by myself and other admin to keep us up to date while not wasting time.

Inconvénients :

Integration of this product was not difficult but time consuming. One area I would like to see improved is to have the ability to load machine data from either cloud or thumb drive and program will automatically load lbs. of crop into inventory. I feel inventory and contract portion of program is almost too in depth. Finally price; I do feel this product is high priced compared to competitors and certainly for growers that are small to medium or do not perform all tasks themselves, i.e. spraying and trucking. this eliminates some of the value proposition of the program.

Great Product, but with some limitations

Commentaires : Our overall experience has been a good one, but wish I could say I'm 100% satisfied and I can't say that yet. I'm hoping I will get there someday.

Avantages :

It's fairly easy to use. It has helped our farming operation to finally nail down some expectation of where we'll end up at the end of the year. With our accounting software I would eventually get there but after the fact. The up to date information as the season is progressing gives us valuable management tier information . It has allowed us to pivot on plans quickly and have confidence in those decisions.

Inconvénients :

It has to be modified and implement multiple workarounds to make it work. I also don't like the significant amount of time needing to be spent in the software in order to keep information accurate and up to date. The grain inventory function for us is worthless and actually very difficult to keep straight. As far as providing new features, they seemed to implement quite a few when we starting using it, but I haven't seen anything for a while. Some of the updates are not necessarily improvements.

Best farming software hands down

Avantages :

Flexibility based on your operations needs. There are numerous features that can be used to improve your operation. They have hands down the best support of any product in the industry. They get to know your operation and its nuances on a personal level and they want you to succeed.

Inconvénients :

Setting your account up and getting the full benefit is tedious and can be a lot of work at first. You do reap what you sow though.

Granular helps us visualize our bottom line

Commentaires : 2020 was our fourth crop year with granular and we are finally comfortable using it and know that we are getting good data. To an extent, it has been a struggle to succeed with this product but in many ways, it is our own fault. We have not dedicated the time or people to it until recently. I think a farm that would be dedicated to it could have correctly implemented the software in half the time that we did. Now that we are getting good numbers out of it I'm pleased with the product and the support the entire way through has been great. Probably better than any other product or software that we use on our farm.

Avantages :

I like that it breaks the cost and quantity down of each item over the year and that you can filter the data in so many different ways.

Inconvénients :

It is hard to adapt the software at times for cotton growers or irrigated producers. It also takes a lot of time to sift through the data and make sure that it is correct.

Commentaires : Our experience has been nothing but exceptional would not consider farming without it. The company is always striving to make it a better product.

Avantages :

The program user friendly once you get the basics setup. You can use parts at beginning and then move into it deeper as you want. The help is second to none very helpful both on phone and chat. The attention the company pays to suggestions by customers is above and beyond.

Inconvénients :

Some of the reports are hard to develop at first. Would like them to get Granular Insights and Agronomy to seemlessly enter Granular Business.

Excellent Farm Management Software

Commentaires : We've been using Granular for three years, and our experience with the software has gotten better each year. Very happy with the continued growth and updates made to the software, and excellent support and customer service. Using Granular has greatly simplified the record keeping and budgeting aspects of our farming operation.

Avantages :

Overall functionality and ease of use. Ability to track nearly every aspect of our farming operation. Very happy with the ability to integrate with our machinery and save time in manually entering data.

Inconvénients :

High cost, and could use some work in the inventory management area.

Granular Works For Us

Commentaires : Overall very satisfied. Customer support is AWESOME. User Interface is clean, site is easy to navigate around.

Avantages :

The ease of surfacing deep data is second to none. The ability to make all sorts of comparisons using the Analyzer tools is great

Inconvénients :

The Financial Account side of the program is lacking functionality. It could be built out more, or more customization. Had to "hack" certain accounts to get data into Granular

My farm runs better now

Here's the thing, I love the fact that this software helps me run my farm. I mean, I'm a farmer so I need something to help!

Inconvénients :

I can't really get around how to use it, it could just be the fact that there's a learning curve - it would be really nice to get some training on this!

Manage your overall farm records with Granular.

Commentaires : Prior to the installation of this software, I used to plan all tasks and expenses of the farm required for a whole season manually. It was much time consuming and a complete hassle for me. But now I am pleased to have Granular running my farm business efficiently. It has helped me and my co-workers to sort our entire hurdles.

Avantages :

With its advanced features like profit analyzer, weather forecasting, and monitoring of crop production, it helps us to overcome risk and uncertainties. The application is great to discover bottlenecks of farm and take required actions to make the farm profitable. Additionally, I could keep a close watch on-farm inventories, labors, expenses, sales and other resources. I really appreciate the accurate and insightful statistics that it offers.

Inconvénients :

No unlikely features. But it takes a little extra effort and time to learn and implement it. I want futher more documentations related to application and its features.

Granular FSA Acreage Report

Commentaires : My experience with Granular has been great to date. It is a powerful analytical tool that I learn something new about each time I access it.

Avantages :

One of the Granular features I really like and that saved me a lot of time was the FSA Acreage Report. Our operation has several farms that consist of multiple tracts. We look at the farm as a whole while FSA and our crop insurance company look at it as several different farms in one. The Granular FSA Acreage Report told me how many acres in the field were attributed to the different tracts within that field with just a few clicks of the mouse. We also have significant center pivot irrigated acreage. The Granular FSA Report also shows how many irrigated and non-irrigated acres are in a particular tract within a given field. It has streamlined FSA acreage certification for our operation and also helps with crop insurance reporting.

Inconvénients :

I can’t really say there is anything I dislike about Granular so far. Any issues I’ve had have been quickly resolved by their top notch customer service team.

Great product

Commentaires : The customer service is top notch. All the team members we’ve worked with have been very knowledgeable and worked very well with our operation. They brought areas to our attention that we hadn’t thought of yet. When we have an issue it’s fixed very quickly.

Avantages :

The part I like most about this product is how easy it is to use. After you get all the setup done all you have to do is give them your data and they will put it in for you, saving you time away from your operation. You are free to get work done that would otherwise have to wait till you got done entering information.

Inconvénients :

Like all products it’s far from perfect. However they keep updating and fixing problems that have come up.

Commentaires : I am in my second year and still working on getting everything set up to see the numbers I would like to see. My coach (assistant) is very helpful as we look at different setup options and process the data. Everything has been great! The cost for us dryland cotton farmers on the South Plains is very expensive and could be prohibitive. Need to figure out a pricing schedule that takes into consideration the cotton farmers.

Avantages :

I like the ability to look a cost versus projected income. Also, I enjoy the record keeping features that will enable me top reference them for many years.

Inconvénients :

Projecting some of the cost of the machinery operations isn't very exact and can make a huge difference in your bottom line. It has been a challenge to get everything loaded and set up to be able to track some of the things I need.

Smarter Choices

Commentaires : Granular has and continues to give me the information needed to make sound decisions, where as pre Granular, I felt like my decision making was more of a guess. I like how, Granular has not become content with were they are in the technology game, and continues to bring more to the table each and every year!!!

Avantages :

The ability to track, sort, and know down to each individual acres profitability!!!!

After 5 years of growth with Granular, I have no cons.

Granular is the premier provider of software allowing farmers to track everyday tasks in the field.

Avantages :

As an organic grain (corn, soybeans, and small grains) producer, raising corn and soybeans on over 5,000 acres we are in and out of fields almost 20 times on each individual tract. The ability to track our operations on a daily, hourly, and by-the-minute basis is very beneficial. Granular helps me with this every day. By tracking my activity I am able to gather data to accurately bill out our various farming entities and landlords. It also allows me to reconcile my budgets on a daily basis. To me, Granular is a way to gather data that can be used at a later time. Data is key in our operation.

Inconvénients :

It has more capabilities than I even know what to do with. One factor that Granular prides itself on is its financial capabilities. My particular operation doesn't use this, but I know it's available.

Commentaires : Took a while to get everything going. But definitely glad we stuck with it. Definitely easier than having a bunch of notebooks and spreadsheets. Customer service is very good. They really try and work with you to make sure you're successful.

Avantages :

Lots of continual innovation and refining of features. They are always adding new things and trying to improve old ones. Really like being able to track grain inventory quickly along with being able to review costs, revenues, and breakevens quickly.

Inconvénients :

Integrations is sometimes tough for us for the equipment we use.

I love the interface and modularity of the software. If I stay consistent and accurate with data entry, I can access any information I would ever need in an easy to read report.

I cant say much of anything bad about the software although I wish there was a loyalty program for people to get discount after using for several years.

Avantages :

I really like how easy it is to input information on Granulars Task Manager page. When I had any questions or needed help Granulars team was always quick to respond and very accommodating to my needs. They make it easy to customize the software.

Inconvénients :

No cons really. Its all very straightforward and staff is very helpful. It is time consuming on my end, but thats to be expected when running, maintaining, managing a business.

Commentaires : Our farm honestly does not have any cons with the program at this time. They have worked hard at adding features to the program that are specialized for potato crops and multiple locations.

The software is easy to use and we can keep all of our field and application records in one place. The support we get from Granular is tremendous. The mobile app is a great tool for field entries. The ability to put actual costs to activities is an important and useful feature that this software brings to your figure tips.
