This is easy to use and intuitive. Its an excellent way of keeping in touch with former pupils and updating records.

Inconvénients :

Some of the design features are slightly limited, based on experience working with other websites. This is also what makes it user-friendly and simple to maintain.

Three years in with Toucantech and it just gets better and better

Commentaires : For this review, I'd like instead to illustrate the answer to this question with how a specific problem was dealt with.Being new to using the fundraising module Toucantech was kind enough to "road test" what we had constructed to ensure it would work. This brought peace of mind.Then shortly afterwards, I felt confident to implement a further measure. This went horribly wrong. I was not sure if it was a problem with the software or something I had done.The team at Toucantech immediately responded to my urgent request for help. Following a 2-hour Zoom call, we worked out what I had done wrong, and Toucantech put it right so that it presented on the website as it was supposed to. (They were gracious enough to say that what I had done wrong could easily be done by other new users of their software, and so were going to improve the instructions for that part of the site.)At no time did I feel embarrassed for getting it wrong, and I was so grateful for their patience in putting things right as part and parcel of their normal, fantastic customer service.

Avantages :

I like that you get to know the staff at Toucantech; and that they get to know you as well. This means we all better understand how to deal with problems.

Inconvénients :

Although "glitches" appear in the software from time to time, even this "down arrow issue" is usually dealt with speedily and efficiently. I assume rival software also can have these problems, so I prefer to work on the basis that Toucantech resolves them more quickly than its rivals.

Commentaires : Overall, ToucanTech is a brilliant product and their team is efficient and friendly.

Avantages :

The product is easy to use and I like the logic of the search function. The support team is great and it's very helpful to have the tutorial pages.

Inconvénients :

Data hosting. This is an issue for overseas users as different countries have different data privacy standards.

Commentaires : I use it very seldom , but find it frustrating to obtain the results I require. Help information is on a separate Web page and the search on that is not comprehensive.

Avantages :

It's comprehensive and obviously has many features that are not relevant to some users

Inconvénients :

I didn't find it very intuitive and would have found more hints useful when errors occurred, although I know ToucanTech are always looking to improve the system

Avantages :

I love that ToucanTech are quick to respond to any queries I might have with everything from day to day matters and more complex situations like our fundraising pathway and event management. They are always encouraging and supportive; exactly what you ask for in customer support, if you ask me.

Inconvénients :

The system is incredibly clever and is always being updated so my one draw back, if any, is that there are some functions which require a lot more time to get to grips with and require more attention to detail.

Commentaires : Overall experience as been nothing but positive. ToucanTech is a joy to work with, both in terms of its people and the product itself.

Avantages :

The friendliness and efficiency of all the ToucanTech team, from the initial sales enquiry and contract negotiation through to the onboarding, data migration, training and support. The whole team have been extremely supportive and patient when at times we were not in a position to make immediate decisions.

Inconvénients :

We have found nothing that we dislike in our use of the product to date.

The process has been smooth and well-structured, thanks to [sensitive content hidden] support and guidance. There’s been a lot to learn, but [sensitive content hidden] has been incredibly patient and helpful throughout, making the entire experience enjoyable and productive. I feel well-prepared to move forward with the platform, thanks to her expertise.

Avantages :

What I like most about ToucanTech is the excellent support team—they are always very helpful. Additionally, the platform offers a lot of functionality, making it a versatile tool for our needs.

Inconvénients :

There isn't anything I dislike about ToucanTech. However, if you're not tech-savvy, you'll need to dedicate some time to learn and understand the platform's functionality. That said, it's manageable because the support team is fantastic and provides great assistance throughout the process.

User friendly and great support

Commentaires : It has significantly helped with my workload! Getting our alumni database in order and in one place was the main goal and the whole process in doing this has been great. It is easy to export the data as and when I need it.

Avantages :

The set up process was pain free, and from this support has been readily available with hints and tips being shared regularly. Overall, the ToucanTech software is easy to navigate and offers a lot of features. We have mostly been using this to maintain our alumni database and to promote and manage our events and news, however there are plans to build up our mentor network, open an online shop and to eventually begin fundraising - the fact that we have a piece of software that can do it all is fantastic.

Inconvénients :

I don't have any particular negatives about ToucanTech. The staff there have been completely supportive from the initial contact to today (4 years later!). The software can take a bit of time to discover and there are some steps that you need to remember, but that is no different to any other platform.

Commentaires : We have just embarked on trying to engage with our alumni after a long time of not really doing very much so it's great to see people starting to engage. Over the time we hope to look for ambassadors and alumni who may wish to start up clubs, offer mentoring and careers advice as well as promote their own services. Migrating the data was much easier than I imagined it would be and extremely thorough. It's been a pleasure working with Toucantech.

Avantages :

The online alumni community is very impactful, the news stories create a real feeling of community and there are many features such as Clubs, Events, Support Us, Forum, etc. which can be developed over time. I also like the fact that when you capture new members they update their contact details straight into the database. The software is very user friendly and is a pleasure to work with.

Inconvénients :

I don't think there is anything I don't like about the software. The company is constantly reviewing and upgrading features and software and respond to customer feedback where appropriate. I am still learning to use the fundraising software and I think it would be great to have some webinars on the fundraising side of the database as well as how to create clubs, etc.

Commentaires : Toucan Tech is a powerful tool that enables a School or organisation to keep in touch with their alumni and families. Communication is tracked and streamlined, Donor giving/fundraising is trackable and reports easy to produce.

Avantages :

Toucan Tech is very user friendly and has been designed with School use in mind - which is fantastic! Data entry is straight forward. Emails can be designed by template or you can create your own and the fundraising function is superb.

Inconvénients :

We have not found too many complications. It can be frustrating having to enter the same address multiple times when adding details of a family.

Impressive software allowing us to best harness our community

Commentaires : I would characterise Toucan as having a very personal and tailored approach. They were the incumbent system when I joined, and having worked with them for over a year now, I have never had such a responsive and involved relationship with a software provider. They have delivered the changes and developments I wanted (as we moved to better utilise the power of their software) and the result has been a front and back end system I am delighted to work with. I am also confident in this strong working relationship being long term and continual improvements as a result.

Avantages :

Using Toucan it is very apparent that it has been thoughtfully developed as the fit-for-purpose tool to handle all aspect of community management. The back end database is allowing us to build and record a quality data set that will enable Brentwood School to continually improve communication, engagement, and fundraising in our wider school community ('Association'). Having this one stop hub makes our day to day easier as a Development team, but also offers convenience and consistency to those in our Association. Working with Toucan we are able to execute best practice through a well presented and user friendly system.

Inconvénients :

Toucan was built as a bespoke "all in one" system when they recognised many of the alternatives were slow moving or just repurposing more generic systems. This means they are still developing some integrations with third parties, but we have always found an option that works.

Best Platform for Alumni Database Management

Commentaires : The Support Team is phenomenal, and it's amazing to have access to a network of other international schools that use the same platform.

Avantages :

Our alums love learning about the university/industry/geographic Hubs they can join to connect them with other alumni. They are always keen to learn how they can use the platform to network. The Resources section, with digitized yearbooks, is also very popular, as are the Photo Galleries. It was very easy to migrate our data at the beginning.

Inconvénients :

There are many features that I forget to use, but ToucanTech sends out newsletters with examples from other schools that are always so useful.

Commentaires : Overall, our experience with ToucanTech has been incredibly positive. They are receptive to feedback, and welcome suggestions on how to improve their product and implement them where possible. They are happy to work with their customers on the development of their software to ensure it meets their needs. In terms of support, ToucanTech are always respond quickly to support requests and can normally resolve problems very quickly.

Avantages :

ToucanTech is an incredibly user friendly piece of software and it's very easy to build the online portal. The features we use the most are the mass email function, the events page, the online shop and the news section. Recently we've launched a second online portal for a different section of our community that can all be managed from the same database.

Inconvénients :

There isn't a feature of Toucan that I would say I like the least. We were early customers of ToucanTech and the features and functionality that have been developed since we first used the software have only improved what was already a very good product.

More than a product/service provider...this company consistently go the extra mile

Commentaires : I have been working with ToucanTech for the past two years using their Alumni Software. They are more than a 'service provider'. They listen and adapt and change to feedback from their users, which is not something I have experienced before. Other companies I have worked with say they listen but nothing ever seems to change.
ToucanTech have a thirst and desire to be the best and this comes across in everything they do and in my humble opinion they are the best. They go the extra miles every day and make their customers, like me, feel part of their family'listened too, respected and willing to grow together.
Their software is intuitive, easy to use and most of all FUN to use. I come into work excited to see what has happened on my 'network' and keen to do more. We really are seeing a change in the way our Alumni 'see' our school...they are seeing the value we can add to them now and how they can use their network to benefit them. We could not have done this without ToucanTech.
I really can't say a bad word - ha ha apart from the fact that I now have Alumni connecting with me every day now so I am very very busy!!!

Avantages :

Easy to use Links to SIMS so makes downloads easy FUN for our end users If you see improvements they really will listen! Additional Services they provide e.g. Report on how your network is performing making it easy to feedback to your school They have a network where you can link in with other people using the software to share ideas/experiences

Commentaires : oucanTech is a one-stop-shop, bringing both the website and the database together.
- We are often complimented on the look and feel of our site, and how professional our newsletter emails look. It’s great to work on a platform that our community enjoys using.
- Our whole team are able to use the ToucanTech system as it is easy to operate; flexible, intuitive; and the support from TT has been great if there is ever a problem.
- Really easy to update records; capture lots of data about our community members and Manage our pipeline of donor prospects
- It certainly makes the Tonbridge Society programme very efficient

Avantages :

- A fantastic feature that ToucanTech offers is the Activity tracker – it shows us how people are engaging with our programme – from which emails they have opened to how many events they have attended. We are even able to sync external communications to the activity tracker so that all members of the team can view ongoing conversations. - The events module and particularly how bookings are made is a lot easier to handle than our previous database. ToucanTech Software

Commentaires : Our aim was to purchase a software solution that would manage our 15,000 plus dataset in a bright, intuitive and logical way. In addition, we required a third party (alumni) interface which would engage our alumni from the off, and give them a responsive, interesting and easy to use platform which would allow them to interact easily with the school and their peers. ToucanTech has provided such a solution. They have been a pleasure to work with thus far and the whole team have a pro-active, can do approach to work. We never have to chase ToucanTech, but rather they engage with us at every step. Their online forums bring another layer to the user experience, and any technical difficulties are resolved immediately by their technical team. I can highly recommend the product and the company behind it.

Avantages :

The ToucanTech software is engaging from the word go! Its bright, colourful appearance does not betray what lies beneath. The best thing about the software is its intuitive design which make operations simple, straightforward and easy. Almost everything you want to do/find is underpinned by logical thought and programming, so that the user can navigate easily around the software.

Inconvénients :

I am honestly not sure there is an answer to this question. My whole experience with ToucanTech to date has been positive, from sales, to customer service to to the user end of the software. Although a cost is involved, I would say the value for money and customer care makes this well worth the expenditure.

Highly recommended product for school alumna and development offices

Commentaires : Overall we are very happy with ToucanTech, so much so that we have recently resigned with them for a further three year contract. The product answers all of our needs within our alumnae and development office.

Avantages :

The best part of the software is that it is a one stop shop, so you have your database, fundraising, online portal, and events functions all tied into one package rather than needing different software options to answer different needs.

Inconvénients :

We are generally very happy with this product, but of course as with all products, there are occasional glitches. However, the customer support team always respond very quickly and efficiently to these and they are constantly working to improve and to bring out new features.

Commentaires : Very happy with our relationship and the service provided. As with any software, you need to dedicate some resources to learn the tips and tricks to make the most out of it.

Avantages :

Customer service, issue resolution, responsiveness, new product releases, ease of use, competitive pricing, willingness to find custom solutions, training, and lots of resources, a community of users.

Inconvénients :

Can have slow load speeds at times and other bugs (but those are quickly fixed with support)

Avantages :

All the functionality we are after is currently available and ToucanTech are always happy to listen to our feedback and consider ideas for future developments. It is so intuitive for both the administrators and users.

Inconvénients :

A few technical things need to be sorted from time to time but importantly, always sorted!

ToucanTech For Alumni Relations

Commentaires : Consistently good. For example, since we started with TT (6 years ago) we've upped our contactable constituents from 66% to a stable 87%.

Avantages :

I like TT because it is an integrated Database, CRM and CMS - and the system is easy to use with training others a fairly simple process thanks to support from TT. It provides all the engagement tools we need, it's keenly priced, they respond quickly to queries, implement customer product requests regularly, and are constantly refreshing and upgrading their offer.

Inconvénients :

Volunteer management could be better, but there are useable workarounds.

Commentaires : As a school we can email our alumnae, create events, advertise jobs, keep our year 13 students interested in what we are doing as a school and much more from the same database which make my life easier and I am able to work more efficiently.

Avantages :

Ease of use and support has been very good. The company is very responsive and informs of all latest updates which are clear and easy to update or implement. The training given has been excellent when required.

Inconvénients :

There is nothing I have found that I do not like.
