Commentaires : Overall is good. There were some technical issues sometimes (permissions, mobile view, etc.). But the customer support is very responsive and we were able to resolve everything pretty easily (for example to change a setting from desktop instead of mobile, or remove + re-add a user to fix a permissions bug).

Avantages :

Even though there were a few other solutions that had all of the same core functionalities (like Trello), we like how Kanbanchi is built for Google Workspace / ChromeOS (we use a lot of Chromebook and mobile devices). Other apps could piece together all of the features (plugins, marketplace apps, mobile app, etc.). But since we rely heavily on Google Workspace for everything else, we like how Kanbanchi is built specifically for that. We did not want to worry that some integration app or setting would cause an issue in the future and then the whole workflow breaks. So even though we don't need all of the features and other options exist, we like that it just feels like part of our Google Workspace suite.

Inconvénients :

The pricing is a bit high compared to others. We don't need the cheapest solution. But Kanbanchi is marketed as "the missing link" of the Google Workspace suite of apps (true--that is the one thing that is missing). But the Kanbanchi basic paid annual plan (20% off of the monthly) is still more expensive per user than the Google Workspace mid-level plan (billed monthly) per user. It's not the end of the world, but as a result we only have one very small, specific team using Kanbanchi. If it was priced similar to some of the less expensive ones for the starter tools, we might just buy it for more people on the team and also for contractors and partners we work with.

Commentaires : Unpleasant, buggy and not really enjoyable

Avantages :

The tools is pretty straightforward to use and works more or less like every other Kanban type tool. The tools work mostly fine.

Inconvénients :

It doesn't feel stable, on multiple occasions I had to rewrite and entire comment because I clicked away from the card or even in the card itself. Design-wise it's a bit confuse and has way to many options on the first level of selection. The cards formatting shouldn't be enabled on click as this usually interferes with the attempt to click on links

Kanbanchi: Streamlining Management in Our Education Company

Commentaires : Our experience with Kanbanchi has been largely positive, as it has improved the organization and professionalism of our education company. By facilitating an easy-to-use platform for managing projects, meetings, and action points, it has enhanced collaboration and efficiency among our managers. We also really enjoy the integration with Google Workspace. To make it even better, the platform would benefit from a more user-friendly interface for those who find the vast range of functionalities overwhelming.

Avantages :

Kanbanchi has significantly professionalized our business by providing an accessible overview of large projects, streamlining meeting structures for managers, and creating a centralized location for action points and important files (we really enjoy the google workspace integration!!). Its wide range of functionalities, including filtering, color-coding, subtasks, and due dates for subtasks, has enhanced our ability to manage tasks effectively. You can fully customize the tool to your own preferences, which allowed us to use it in various (unexpected) ways.

Inconvénients :

While the variety of features can be advantageous, it can also be overwhelming for some employees. A 'simple view' option would be a welcome addition, making it easier for users to navigate the platform without feeling overwhelmed by the numerous functions.

Very Functional with Google G Suite

Commentaires : I work for a nonprofit and you manage many responsibilities. This has helped me organize my projects with ease. I manage projects from advertising, public relations, social media content, video development, market analysis. The learning curve is small. It is really a user driving experience and the customer service is... They get back to you with solutions! I am very pleased

Avantages :

Integrated into G Suites with no problems Integration with G Mail, easy to assign a task to the Kanbanchi board Calendar integration, I did not have to use a third party and or pay for an expensive platform such as Smart Sheet. I can see my projects on Google Calendar Attaching files is very simple. Easy navigation and can change views to look at project status. I can See my Kanbanchi Board on My Google Drive! I then selected the Kanbanchi board so it appears in my Google Workspace

Inconvénients :

At this stage, I currently do not have a like least. I need more time to work with it.

Commentaires : I am not a native tech user but the ability to interact with our information in a visual way has been really helpful. Their customer service is extra ordinary, especially for the tech challenged amongst us.

Avantages :

The ordering of the information in a visible, modular way is a gods’send for the neurodiverse.

Inconvénients :

I’m not sure what is involved with developing for iOS specific apps for use on iPhones, iPads and Apple Watch but imagine it must be too much trouble for the moment. More native iOS integration would be helpful but not a deal breaker as you can use it in browser based way. That being said. considering the imperfect integration (from a user point of view) of native iOS apps with themselves over varied Appple devices, maybe they are better steering clear!

Commentaires : It has been ok.. hasn't been very practical to import my tickets, I waste a lot of time creating or editing one by one at the beginning of every sprint. If wasn't for that, this would be perfect.Thank you for your hard work.

Avantages :

Easy to use daily, very good visually, makes things easier to visualize. Also the other admin tools, like Gants, burn down, tasklist and swimlanes. I like them all.

Inconvénients :

The way to import tickets from csv is a nightmare! It is not easy, it is not practical, is not complete. I still have to manually change things one by one, because I could never import the estimation or the tags. I can't import either personalized fields, or use my template card for importation. I really hope they improve this very important functionality.

Commentaires : It's been great... The limited functionality of the School Version is sometimes noticed but we manage to use it in our daily workflow quite well and are grateful to everyone at Kanbanchi for creating such a great software.

Avantages :

Kanbanchi is very easy to deploy across the Google Apps Suite and get my students on-board quickly. They are already using Google Apps in their daily schoolwork do It was a painless onboarding process. It also has a easy to learn and use interface. My students were off a running in one class period. It is a great way to keep everyone on the same page and up to date on projects.

Inconvénients :

Trying to convince my school administrators to pay for a ongoing license fee is not the easiest conversation to have. I would like to have a one time purchase price available.

Organizing for visual people

Commentaires : It’s been great. They offer educational discounts for companies in that field, and they’ve been responsive to my needs for technical assistance. One side comment I would make is that when a due date is added to any card, it displays in black type, which competes visually for the eye’s attention when looking at a board full of cards. I think the due date time should be in grey...or in a soft neutral color. As it stands, it feels too bold in black, too similar in size to the card title. Maybe shrinking size will allow it to remain black and not be so difficult to scan across many cards.

Avantages :

It helps simplify the many to-dos I have across business and life.

Inconvénients :

I wish I could see all my cards from different boards on one large board.

Our Bread and Butter for Staff Retention

Commentaires : Kanbanchi provided us with a simple platform to track staffing for a unit of 191 staff, team by team. We were able to track issues such as active or inactive statuses, Within those status groups, timelines in which they were scheduled to return to work, FML and COVID related leave outcomes as well as attrition and retention

Avantages :

The interface provides a quick and easily customizable platform for use in evaluating multiple metrics and processes at the click of a mouse!

Inconvénients :

Based on the past several updates, I would have to say they have both listened to and facilitated many of the changes we had recommended to their CS team .... (Easier movement of boards, attachment and photo uploads, time stamping to track when milestones or timelines have been met, etc.)

Kanban Boards Online

Commentaires : I love doing Kanban the Japanese way and it's made simple for me and my PM team via Kanbanchi!

Avantages :

Thanks to my Japanese friends I was introduced to Kanban boards. We used to do it via post its onto the bulletin board... until it got too crowded, and post-its stopped being sticky. So, we decided to migrate to an online/digital Kanban board. We chose Kanbanchi to complement our G Suite subscription. We display our board via a lard LED screen in the office, and Kanbanchi works well for us. We change the background often to catch people's attention and to make it more pleasant and interesting to look at. It's easy to create cards and move them around. Easy to make comments and updates on the cards or boards. The entire team can log in and update all at the same time and we are all kept aware of the changes via the notifications or just simply looking at the boards. At the end of the week, it is easy to download a spreadsheet/report of all the done or outstanding cards left.

Inconvénients :

No mobile app. Yes, accessible easily via web browser but it would be great to have a dedicated mobile app for both iOS and Android.

Best G Suite integration tool for project management

Commentaires : We can now manage our business with G Suite integration on Kanbanchi, this tool is really great. All the charts and integration plugins are readily available so that we can manage the project smoothly. Our clients are thereby happy !

Avantages :

The major advantage as said is the integration with Google and the ability to manage all the project details like Gantt Chart, Kanban boards etc in one place. Best and unique features that we liked is the 100% compatible with Google G Suite. The tool helps to make our team more compatible with the project needs and make them more efficient. Our all major issues faced during project management is being overcome with the use of this great tool !

Inconvénients :

The major issue is with the lack of a mobile app, they do not have iOS and Android app. This will make us to monitor the changes on web browser. Please release the app asap.

Great, functional app to connect students in project-based learning.

Commentaires : - Greater transparency in our group-based and project-based activities for student leadership programs.
- More engaged team members, having always up-to-date information concerning project progress

Avantages :

- Easy to connect to student Google Apps for Education accounts, which don't always allow easy access to other apps like Trello or Slack - Very functional and easy to use, all features are well integrated and the app seems very resilient - Great support, quick responses to email tickets and impressive turn around time for feature request implementation

Inconvénients :

Knowing that the software continues to grow continuously and features are added, here are notes and feature requests : - the commenting section seems hard to access. We love that we can collaborate on boards, especially since it's so seamlessly connected to Google Apps. However, it's hard to discuss things within Kanbanchi. Perhaps inline messaging within comments, or a notification system for new messages within cards a user follows. - more granular permissions to allow certain users (in this case, students) to be limited in functionalities (assigning or un-assigning others to cards, deleting cards or columns, changing tags, changing wallpapers and other UI elements, etc.)

Commentaires : I am happy to log in and use this app every single day at work. It definitely helps organize our workflow in ways we did not think we even needed until it was offered as a tool on kanban.

Avantages :

With color customizations, priority tags, and column grouping, absolutely anyone could find a way to make use out of Kanbanchi for organizing their workplace hundreds of different ways.

Inconvénients :

At times I’m not able to see all information on a card, especially if it is older or has a lot of information on it

Commentaires : Overall I am happy to use kanban every day at work. I have to do a lot of organizing and planning deadlines so it helps me visualize it all

Avantages :

I like the ease of use, it is very easy to catch on. It really does have a ton of features in it. I feel like I'm finding a new useful tool every day. I like that you are able to make suggestions and that the customer support team actually responds.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes throughout the day my kanban wont update to show a cards new position until I physically click on the card. I do also wish you could subscribe to a column or list itself rather than just specific cards or all cards

Best kanban board app that is fully integrated with G Suite

Commentaires : I really liked Kanbanchi and will choose over any other kanban board app. It is very useful for me because our organization relies heavily on G Suite. The seamless integration makes our work faster.

Kanbanchi is the best kanban board application I used that is fully integrated with Google Drive. - Kanban cards is highly customizable. Color can be edited. Tags and priority (Low – Critical) can be added. - Start date, due date, estimated and actual time spent can be set and recorded. - It has a clean and intuitive design. All activity in the card may be viewed in a separate tab. - Due dates may be added to Google Calendar.

Inconvénients :

- No smartphone version. - Gantt chart is available only for the paid version.

Wouldn't be without it!

Avantages :

Kanbanchi has become a huge part of our processes over the last year or so and has only got better in that time. It is extremely agile and user friendly, the team wouldn't be without it now! Would recommend to any team looking to automate and streamline their processes!

Ease of collaboration

Avantages :

We use Kanban across our widely geograpgically distributed organisation where each centre has different IT systems and cultural influences. For us the collaboration aspect is key and it is so easy to share Kanban boards with others and modify in virtual meetings. Our organisation has used it for project management tracking, for process management and building individual or team to do lists. Being able to identify who should have input when, and them getting reminded of it is useful. It's also easy to customise in terms of branding and colours to make it feel more like part of your organisation.

Inconvénients :

Being lazy I mostly dislike having to learn new software but this is a great addition to G suite as far as I'm concerned.

Commentaires : Its a powerful Kanban oriented tool I use for personal time management and also for collaborative work with my software development team. I like its simplicity to use and best of all is that is a powerful tool. Not an easy combination to find in a product.

Avantages :

The available options to color cards, the use of labels and tags far superior than similar product like MeisterTask. Also the way Kanbanchi filters the required information is really fast and give you enough granularity to show you only the what you need.

Inconvénients :

Even though I usually use the app from my browser in my office, there is no mobile app, so this could be a problem for others.

Perfect Kanban app for daily use, simple, fast, deep granularity of features, integrated with Gsuite

Avantages :

- amazing granularity to customize tasks: tag names + tag colours + card colours + priority + start date + due date + assign people + attachments + comments. This helps a lot to quickly organize work visually when dealing with different teams and different kinds of tasks - sub-tasks can be added either with sub-cards or just checklists - integrated with Gsuite (due dates with Calendar / files with Gdrive) - "related cards" feature allows to link cards between them (eg when there is a common context) - great filtering options

Inconvénients :

- no mobile app yet (web browser experience on mobile is terrible) - no global search (only within a dashboard) - when a card is set to "Done", the card won't disappear from there. You have to delete it manually (and lose traceability) or create a separate dashboard for "Done Cards" and move it manually there
