The ease of use of Everlaw is what makes it superior to any other ediscovery software we have used in the past.
I don't like that it loads empty container files and makes them part of the database.

Avantages :
Everlaw is easy to use and the more complex functions are relatively self-explanatory. Everlaw makes using ESI materials to develop facts in your case far easier than other platforms with less back-end tech support.
Inconvénients :
Preparing complex productions with customized guidelines can be difficult, but Everlaw's support staff is very helpful and up to the task.

Legal Professional Point of View
Commentaires : customer service has been amazing! training has been amazing! transition from previous software to Everlaw as been easier than other products may be.
Avantages :
The ease of uploading documents into Everlaw; Storybuilder is great for lawyers to prepare for questioning or trials
Inconvénients :
not being able to easily move from one metadata field to the next
Steep learning curve but useful
Commentaires : Overall, once you learn the program and get comfortable, it can be a real powerhouse!
Avantages :
Everlaw has a lot of features - you can customize and organize to your heart's content. No shortage or creative options with Everlaw.
Inconvénients :
Everlaw can be overwhelming, particularly at first. The learning curve to navigate the program and understand all of its nuances can be steep.

Processing is Quick and Easy
Commentaires : This program speeds up the amount of time I spend working with documents compared to our older platform.
Avantages :
One of my favorite features is being able to drag and drop documents from anywhere to load into the database. Makes loading documents a breeze. No more time wasted saving to multiple locations before loading into database. The processing time is quick.
Inconvénients :
The layout and view is a little different than the standard ediscovery platforms and takes a little time to get used to it. I don't like that it loads empty container files and makes them part of the database.
Almost perfect
Avantages :
Everlaw is very intuitive and easy to teach new users how to use. Attorneys love using the Storybuilder feature to create a chronological timeline for the case and to prep for depositions. Another major draw to Everlaw is independence. If there needs to be a production made, we don't have to reach out to a vendor for them to run it. We don't need to tell a vendor what tags to create or the search terms needed to create review batches. With the ECA database, Everlaw is also a pretty cost-conscious option and clients appreciate it.
Inconvénients :
There are only a couple of major issues that can cause some hair pulling- One is deduplicating. Identifying and culling duplicates is not always easy and can be rather convoluted. It is also frustrating being unable to search for near-dupes. I hope upgrading their deduplication features and search functions is high on their list. Another issue is versioning. When a document is produced, it creates a whole new document separate from the native. This becomes very clunky and also can cause an issue when trying to keep costs low. It would be much easier if, instead of creating a whole new document, it would create another tab in the review window that would be called "produced" or something along those lines. This also incurs a higher fee. We will use the ECA feature, promote documents for review and production, migrate the work product to the produced document, and then demote the original documents to the ECA database to save on hosting fees. After a production is run, the review project now has 2 of every document produced. If I was running a production on 1GB of data and the resulting production took up 1.5GB, even if I demote the original documents right after the production, we are still billed for 2.5GB even though the originals were only on the review side for maybe an hour after they were produced. This can be very cost heavy when 40GB productions are run.
Everlaw For Ever
Commentaires : Overall cost savings. From money saved in storing client documents on a cloud versus office space to store physical documents, to charging a client less time spent because we don't have a need to photocopy productions any longer, the overall cost savings has been worth the subscription.
Avantages :
The ease of use of Everlaw is what makes it superior to any other ediscovery software we have used in the past. The customer service is exceptional - from the customer service team, the avaialbility of contacting support and the things that Everlaw has chosen to include in the subscription (i.e. number of users being free), makes it a stand alone product.
Inconvénients :
What I least like about Everlaw is that they are constantly updating the software, so even when I think I know how to use something, they go and make it better and I miss the release. That is really the only thing I can complain about. I can't keep up with the awesome things that make the platform better time and time again.
Everlaw for Legal Pros
Avantages :
Everlaw is a key part of our legal practice when it comes to document review, production, deposition, hearing and trial preparation. The ingestion of files for review is easy and automatically extracts metadata and text for keyword/term searches. Large batch coding is simple. Metadata panel can be viewed at the same time as the document when extending to multiple screens. Set-up of production protocols is not complicated which is makes for quick turn-round on generating production sets. When working with large volumes of native data, like emails, the extraction of metadata allows sorting using various search parameters (date, author, subject....). Everlaw also has the ability to ingest pdf production files that are Bates endorsed but not provided with load files. Support, if needed, is responsive and helpful if you need to call; Everlaw also provides training videos that can be accessed any time for basic step-by-step processes. Overall, Everlaw has many functions and features that efficiently support the entire litigation process all the way through trial.
Inconvénients :
The migration from previous eDiscovery software to Everlaw, as with any migration, was not seamless and requires some technical support and organization on the part of a document manager to manage the migrated sets of documents.
Everlaw is one of the best document review platforms.
Avantages :
The Everlaw platform is extremely easy to use and has a pleasing layout. I use Everlaw almost daily for document production and trial preparation. Its binder function allows me to easily find and organize like documents, and it has very robust search functionality. You can have multiple search criteria, including codes, metadata, and content searches. You can also have proximity searches or fuzzy searches if you don't know the exact words used. Plus, Everlaw provides search results almost instantaneously. Everlaw's support staff are also very helpful and responsive. If you have a question about the system, they respond quickly and do not charge extra for their customer service. They also upload documents for you if needed. But the upload feature is likewise easy to use, so I routinely do uploads myself.
Inconvénients :
I wish there was the ability to share multiple binders at one time. I frequently segregate documents into binders for trial prep, and it would be nice to be able to share all of them at once with the rest of the trial team.
Everlaw makes organizing, searching and producing discovery a breeze!
Commentaires : Overall I absolutely love using Everlaw and find it to be a great tool for organizing, reviewing, redacting, searching and producing documents in the discovery process. I also love that I can upload deposition transcripts and exhibits which is useful for ease in finding key words and phrases in a transcript in trial.
Avantages :
I love how easy it is to upload and produce documents through Everlaw. I also love the various ways to search for key words and phrases in a single binder or in the entire database. The continuous updates to Everlaw have been great as well, such as being able to rotate a single page now and not all pages in a document. I also find the ability to unitize large files very useful when it comes to redacting and creating an accurate privilege log.
Inconvénients :
I would like to be able to delete a page in a document (such as a blank pages that are part of a file import/upload). I would also like the ability to be able to rename any and all files/matters created. Another feature I would love to see is the ability to move or copy a timeline into another matter as sometimes I have cases that have overlapping, relevant information to more than one case.

Everlaw is AWESOM
Commentaires : I have been in e-discovery for over 15 years and this, in my opinion, is the best tool....hands down. Please continue to develop and build out this wonderful platform
Avantages :
I most like the layout and how user intuitive the tool is for use.
Inconvénients :
Some features could be expanded more....like sharing exports with other users more easily. I also don't like that certification passage requires a 100% score. That is a bit unrealistic and doesn't aid in learning, but encourages "memorizing for the test".
Everlaw Is The Best
Avantages :
It is user friendly and intuitive. Once you have the basics down, it is very easy to expand on to more complex items.
Inconvénients :
Nothing - I love it. It is superior to any other product I have used.
Everlaw - The Cadillac platform for E-discovery
Commentaires : We have been resolving production issues and large production problems with Everlaw. We have the capability to move the case quickly and provide a production when there are time crunches. The speed and visualization of everlaw helps us find everything we need.
Avantages :
Everlaw - I like the predictive coding and visualization of the program and the ease to produce.
Inconvénients :
Nothing. Everlaw updates and provides new tools constantly, and therefore it is a top tier product
Everlaw is the best E-Discovery Tool
Commentaires : Wonderful. Better than any other document management tool that I have used.
Avantages :
In production heavy cases Everlaw is essential. It streamlines productions, makes searching through hundreds of thousands of pages of documents easy. Has a very powerful AI engine search to help you zero in on only those important documents. The user interface is also very intuitive and easy.
Inconvénients :
No major cons at the moment. I switched to Everlaw from a really crappy program that was hard to use, so by comparison this software is a dream.
Excellent For Straight-Forward Review Work
Commentaires : Overall, I am very happy deploying the platform to clients who have a solid grasp of technology and like to "get their hands dirty" with a DIY platform.
Avantages :
The ease of use and quick customer pick-up is wonderful; many aspects are remarkably straight-forward to use; the knowledge base is a phenomenal asset.
Inconvénients :
The lack of a quicker upload option for very large datasets, such as a dedicated SFTP option, etc., so larger uploads can take several hours/all day to complete.
You can teach an old dog new tricks!
Commentaires : Everlaw has helped our staff and firm finally enter the "new age" of electronic discovery. At a time when we have multiples cases in the tens of thousands of document and some in the hundred thousands, we have increased our productivity using less time and resources to complete document review, prepare for depositions and trial and the manner in which we collect documents from clients. I still have a lot to learn, but don't know how we ever did without Everlaw!
Avantages :
The ability to word search, organize and organize documents by topic, sender, receiver, etc without having to review hard copies or just PDFs multiple times to review the same documents for each search.
Inconvénients :
Haven't found anything I do not like yet.
Very easy to use and adaptable to the individual user
Commentaires : Customer Service responds with very detailed instructions for all service requests within an hour, even on the weekends and late at night.
Avantages :
That it is so easy to customize for quick review based on unique work-style.
Inconvénients :
For hit highlights, to see where specific terms are contained within the document, it is only possible to see hits in the Text view, not Image, and sometimes it can be difficult to go between text and image to find hits for search terms. But it is not a significant issue.
Review for Everlaw
Commentaires : Excellent
Avantages :
1. Outstanding customer service, 2. Generally a very intuitive program to use
Inconvénients :
I wish it were more intuitive to do proximity searches
Alternatives envisagées précédemment :
Great tool for email filtering and review
Commentaires : I’ve used the product for many years and it is an excellent product for e-discovery and email review.
Avantages :
Very versatile and fantastic product support
Inconvénients :
It takes time to learn about all of the options for review and filtering
Amazing, highly professional document management platform
Avantages :
Hands down, the best features were: 1) provision of the platform free-of-charge for non-profit humanitarian organizations, and 2) excellent customer service to iron out technical challenges. We also found the general features - keyword search, translation, commenting/notes, and document management/organization to be very user friendly.
Inconvénients :
It was sometimes confusing and difficult to switch between analytical screens and the documents themselves. Our partners in Sierra Leone found it difficult to access the platform due to bandwidth issues.
Litigation Paralegal's Best Friend
Avantages :
Cuts time while reviewing hundreds and/or thousands of documents.
Inconvénients :
Searches are very complex. I wish there were more hints on the face of the application.
Everlaw has changed the way we handle documents.
Avantages :
The ability to dedupe and quickly search.
Inconvénients :
I would say the cost. I think that Everlaw could be more user-friendly to very small law firms such as mine by creating more reasonable limits for setting up separate databases.
New User
Commentaires : Good to Very Good
Avantages :
I liked the preset buttons. They are real time saver.
Inconvénients :
The individual item/issue coding was a little cumbersome. The presets are the way to go when coding unless a doc needs special attention.
Great for eDiscovery Scoping
Avantages :
Everlaw is my go-to product when I need to quickly identify pertinent information related legal matters or research requests. When I need to find the needle in a haystack, I use Everlaw.
Inconvénients :
As an administrator, it can be frustrating that I can't see the searches performed by other users. I don't like that other users have to share their searches with me in order for me to see them.
Everlaw is a game changer
Commentaires : The customer service support is second to none and the functionality is great.
Avantages :
Everlaw is an excellent platform, is easy to use and adds value to the client's case. Making documents easilty accessible.
Inconvénients :
It would be good if there is a simple bundle preparation aspect, for example that offered by bundledocs
Easy to use document management and discovery platform
Commentaires : Overall, it has been a positive experience and has helped simply the process of reviewing a high-volume discovery case.
Avantages :
It is easy to organize and search a large volume of documents and discovery. The customer service is excellent.
Inconvénients :
The search features are great, but sometimes are confusing to use. It takes a good deal of training to take full advantage of these features.
