MED eCare Review

Commentaires : The product itself is great. It does the job if used correctly. The people behind the scenes supping the product and the customers are fabulous and don't get the credit they deserve.
Other software firms focus on sales. They forget product development and they certainly skimp on support. This doesn't happen with MED eCare.

Avantages :

The Dashboard is great. It provides a clear snapshot of important management information which can be used to quickly analyse data and correct anything that needs attention. The various reports and ease of access to data is something that saves Management a considerable amount of time when completing audits. The product offering itself is vast and comprehensive. Most importantly, it's the people behind the product. The support is fantastic. From implementation all the way through to live support several years later.

Inconvénients :

Not so much something with the software but generally speaking, integrations with care planning companies (at least the main players) would be hugely beneficial.

MED e-care eMAR is a Reliable Option for LTC

Commentaires : Our overall experience has been positive. It is sometimes hard to get prompt response from support when there is a problem, but this seems to be slowly improving over the last year.
Having used another eMAR system in concurrence, we appreciate how much easier this e-MAR is, how smoothly the integration usually works, and there are less steps for pharmacists and assistants involved as compared to other platforms.
We have had a positive response after a software update changed the refill functionality to be very confusing and time consuming. After our complaints, a change was made in a timely manner that was much more user friendly. There has been an increase in their responsiveness to requests in the last few years.

Avantages :

We like the visual layout of the system. It is easy to tell on one screen if all the meds for the current day have been signed off. The integration with Kroll is almost seamless.

Inconvénients :

There is no alert to missed meds on previous days. No scanning capabilities. No integration with Momentum although it has been promised for years.

Upgraded But Still Could Improve

It is slower to use, and is not user-friendly in learning how to use the software.

All Aspects of Nursing in One

Avantages :

It is a comprehensive software for all aspects of nursing in our facility, we rely on it for charting under all categories and broadly sharing relevant documents for each resident, for nursing to billing.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes charting close to midnight with the change over in days can act strangely, but support can fix these issues when necessary.

EMAR excellence

Commentaires : Overall experience is fantastic using e-Mar. In previous years of working with Paper mars, the e-mar is much more efficient. Smaller chance of errors with missed medications or missed residents. Saves time with not needing to check and double check the paper mar orders at the end of every month to be sure everything is on the new months paper mar.

Avantages :

Resident photos - photo disappears once meds administered to resident Shows only those who have meds due at administration times Ability to sort by room or name Ability to mark residents on LOA Ability to write notes Description of medication is provided Efficient use of time as no longer need to check and double check orders every month against next month mars as done in past with paper mars

Inconvénients :

Unable to change a prn medication once it has been administered. Very occasional staff have hit administered to a prn and then the resident changes their mind. Unable to fix this when it is a prn. With scheduled medication you are able to go back in and adjust. Occasionally staff would mark a resident as away or as in hospital and then they return and meds need to be given. These meds you have the ability to go back in and change the away to administered.

Commentaires : As mentioned previously, I think the MEDe-care implementation team is amazing! Their support team is also extremely helpful and responsive. I have had the privilege of working with the MEDe-care team for over 10 years now and I really don't know what I would do without them!

Avantages :

MEDe-care's eMAR is straightforward to use and can be used for a variety of healthcare environments. Training new users is easy and feedback is always positive as they enjoy the simplicity and flexibility of the application. The MEDe-care e-MAR implementation team is AMAZING; they are always available when needed and truly go above and beyond to ensure set-up is done correctly with minimal disruption to all parties involved.

Inconvénients :

From a pharmacy perspective, there are some features related to user/site set-up and the ability to modify orders that could be improved, but MEDe-care is excellent at responding to customer feedback and when able to, will regularly release updates to improve functionality accordingly.

Commentaires : Very positive. We have had no regrets on moving to this software. it is very good value for money with good customer care support. It is easy to use and and understand.

Avantages :

This is a very good product. The dashboard makes easy viewing of the status of all documents. What is the most helpful part is the excellent customer care service we receive. It is easy to use and the reports are very good.

Inconvénients :

It is much harder to run risk assessments reported

E-Mar at Victoria House

Avantages :

Bringing in the E Mar system at Victoria House helped us obtain better medication Management. We are able to track our medication better. I have access to the system even from home to support the team when I am not here. I can print reports and bio test results as needed. I like how user friendly the system is even novice computer user can use this system

The Best

Commentaires : One benefit of digitalising medication management has led to being able to review data in real-time, enabling remote medicine use reviews between Home, GP and Pharmacy improving patient outcomes during restricted access due to Covid 19 prevention protocol.

Avantages :

Quality of software with implementation and support to match.

Inconvénients :

Integration not ready yet for Pharmacy PRM

Commentaires : My experience has been a positive one when speaking with personal, especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!! She is such a delight.

Avantages :

setting up the patients profile is quick and easy as long as the MAR ID is accepted on the first try and not having to waste time going back and forth to get it to stay.

Inconvénients :

I feel that with not knowing the nursing side very well that questions such as insulin dosing with a sliding scale and prn which are 1 to 2, if the nursing staff are able to enter the units given as well as if the patient received 1 tab or 2. These questions come to me from the home we provide meds to that are being medicated.

E-mar system

Avantages :

The software is very user friendly and simple to use. You do not have to be a technical genius to use the software.

Inconvénients :

It would be beneficial if there was a tracking or billing system in place so that the medication billing could be simplified and I believe that it would make our med admin system more efficient, thereby saving nursing staff time

Commentaires : System is much better than using paper MARs. Support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT] in the training, the set up and helping us navigate the system and make sure we were adding users corrects was phenomenal!

Great support to get set up. User friendly, very good help section

While it took some time for us to all become familiar with it, there wasn't anything we did not like
