One platform, so many functions

Commentaires : We have finally found a platform that meets all our needs, and the recipe costing feature syncing with our POS system is really worth it. So happy we chose MarketMan!

Avantages :

I am most happy that the price of an ingredient carries through all functions from ordering, receiving invoices and payment, recipe costing, and inventory. The accuracy of this data has been a huge time-saver for the restaurant group, and we have a better idea of how profitable we are day-to day.

Inconvénients :

Getting all the items and sub-recipes loaded into the system can be a bit time-consuming up front. Worth it in the end though.

Top of the line, Restaurant Management Software.

Commentaires : I have begun using MM, in 2017, at its earliest days. It has paid for itself, in every single project I have applied MM to. From Costing Analysis, Stock Tracking, Online Ordering, and Price Checks, I was able to reduce overall COGS by 8-12%, and in one particular case, almost 15%! Using MarketMana at its fullest has helped me achieve COGS targets, minimize pilferage, negotiate better pricing with suppliers, and through their numerous and highly customizable reports, I was able to tackle all problems at a granular level! It's your best tool in the box!

Avantages :

What I do love most about MM, is the fact that it keeps improving itself year by year. The guys at MM, have one mission alone, and that is to become the leaders in Restaurant Management software. I must add that I have implemented MarketMan, not only in Restaurants but also in Manufacturing kitchens, Distribution Centers, Multi-outlet Fast Casuals, and Concession Restaurants. Not one has regretted investing in MarketMan. It does what it says on the box!

Inconvénients :

1) Missing Nutritional Facts for menu items - very important!

Great Inventory and Food Cost Management System

Commentaires : It took a long time to implement all our recipes and make sure we were getting the correct data. You must put in a lot of work to get results but once you do it is amazing.

Avantages :

The most important problem Marketman solved for Los Tacos was it gave us the information to allow us to help our managers do their job better. Instead of simply telling them their food cost is high, we area able to tell them exactly what products are the issue. This allows us to pinpoint the problem and make sure we are as profitable as we can be.

Inconvénients :

Online ordering is not integrated with webshops, but we did not expect that to be an option when choosing this sytem.

Attentive but flawed technology

Avantages :

Accurate food costs. Ability to reconcile invoices. Ability to order through the software. Works throughout my company.

Inconvénients :

Software doesnt always import to quickbooks. It took forever to get our Sysco account to work properly. COGS report should have snapshot view.

Review for Nabo bistro

Commentaires : no major complaints. the only major issue would be the closed API which makes it hard to integrate local currencies and banks. this does come as a challenge when doing sale reconciliations

Avantages :

all the features are great, the software makes daily operations very easy

Inconvénients :

would have preferred the onboarding process to be slightly faster so i can use the system asap

Food Costing & Analysis

Commentaires : We have been very pleased with MarketMan since the beginning. And even though this has been a really strange year, we have worked to implement the software at a location while trying to navigate the "new normal" with COVID, but we have been very well supported by MarketMan during this time.

Avantages :

This product is instrumental in ensuring your food costs are on a budget. I have used several Food Costing software packages, and MarketMan is really great at getting those costs under control and monitoring changes.

Inconvénients :

The only thing that I would really like to have added would be a push into Square from Marketman. Such as price and inventory changes could be set in MarketMan, and they would push into Square, but this is really a minor want.

Super Easy and Accurate

Avantages :

Marketman captures all the information and the user-friendliness someone can expect. It feels very personalized. Changes can be easily implemented. User requires minimum experience to familiar themself. I have used several software, I can say marketman is certainly the best!

Inconvénients :

Phone support needs to be more prompt! The team could attempt to solve problems over the phone rather than taking messages only.

Fantastic Software for Restaurant Management, Top Notch Customer Service Team

Avantages :

I love the ease of navigating through the software and how many helpful reports I can view to review my business' operations for every store and as a whole. It's extremely helpful to have the ability to track costs of not only inventory items, but also menu items by building recipes to see the exact breakdown of costs and profit margins.

Inconvénients :

There are little inconveniences in the software that I would like to be fixed/improved. The development team is incredibly slow with implementing any of these requests, no matter how big or small. After 5 months we have yet to have anything fixed.

Ordering Par Level

Commentaires : Good, would like to to integrate with Sage better and the interactive PAR levels as discussed previously.
The different stock UOM for the same product makes it pretty difficult to keep control and count.

Avantages :

Online capabilities. The system is great to set top and the stock control is really impressive

Inconvénients :

The PAR levels should be interactive and look at the usage trend to order a 7day, 10 day or 14 day stock holding. We either over order or under order as seasons change.

Avantages :

Easy to organize daily operation, all orders are sent through Marketman. Easy to upload invoices. Cost food out as well able to keep up with price increase

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it freezes but had to do with our location

Best bang for the buck

Avantages :

Marketman has a beautiful user interface with robust reporting that allows granular tracking at an item level. The support team has a very solid understanding of food costing which also makes using the program that much easier. Personally, I am a huge advocate of doing one thing and doing it right. Marketman Does inventory and food cost controlling extremely well.

Inconvénients :

It would be nice if integrations took a little less digging on the restaurant side. It would be very helpful if there was the ability for a restaurant to build a custom item level report similar to the Cost of Goods report in which we could put specific items i.e chicken and get a set ALL day/week/month usage.

MarketMan

We don't have to manually input our invoices.

We cannot customize / build our own reports

After using SAP for 4yrs, I came to use Marketman with a lean, effective & efficient functionality

Avantages :

Flexibility and accessibility being powered by online resources, actual vs theoretical is also very crucial in analyzing stocks. invoice scanning to receive, cookbook is also vibrant to use.

Inconvénients :

mobile App not having full functions, combining two or more items that are attached as menu items is not possible. I need the incoming orders printable with order numbers also,

MarketMan

Avantages :

The most impactful feature of MarketMan for me is the ability to order produce on the fly and managing inventory made easy.

Inconvénients :

The UI sometimes lag in a mobile device.

Great Software, great support

Commentaires : MM is helping us solving our purchasing process by streamlining the procedures and bringing much more transparency and cost control.

Avantages :

The software is quite complete although there rooms for improvement, specially on the purchasing side. The support & training team is absolutely fantastic in terms of accessibility, knowledge and helpfulness.

Inconvénients :

Some features are a bit complicated to use specially if the users are not very tech savvy.

Commentaires : Overall MarketMan has massively benefited out business and made recipe building, GP management and waste control much easier. Ordering from the central kitchen is now really easy for each site.

Avantages :

The ease of use for the various different levels of the platform. The visual representation of data adds a level of ease to day to day process'.

Inconvénients :

Some of the data calculations - when analysing COG's, lead more towards an American market. It terms of quantifying volumes and percentages.

You can do a lot of different report. This system is always in changing, they're improving every week the functionnality.

Inconvénients :

The translation in French, but they're doing better and better. Sometime the export of the report in excel doesn't work. They need to fix it.

Commentaires : We now have a great handle on our inventory and ordering process. The fact that we don't really think about this anymore is testament to how well the system works.

Have used a number of similar systems in my time, MarketMan is the simplest and easiest to use. Very instinctive and efficient.

Inconvénients :

Very little, nothing to dislike really but would suggest more customisable reports and graphs.

Able to maintain and track inventory very easily, and the ability to do it over the cloud are the two best things about marketman.

Would be nice if marketman incorporated a hand held device that allowed me to record inventory as it comes into the store.
