Avantages :

Facile à déployer très intuitif et simple d’utilisation

Inconvénients :

Pour le moment c’est l’ajout des boitier Watchguard et les plugins personnalisés comme pour pfsense.

Commentaires : The product gives freedom for customization, and integration which is a good part. The learning process is not at all difficult as it is full works with graphs. There can be improved by introducing AI to track the things more.

Avantages :

1. It gives in-depth informational logs to monitor every asset in real-time. 2. The dashboard and graphs are just superb to monitor every traffic ports. 3. Easy integeration and very much budget friendly as well for small organziations.

Inconvénients :

1. Little issues while generating alerts. The timeline of alert and captured data shows difference many times. It won't IOS device which is also a crucial for our work.

The best monitoring tool I've used

Commentaires : Zabbix server can be one of the best tools in your IT arsenal, but it does come with quite a steep learning curve. It's an open-source tool, so it does take a lot more time and patience to configure and setup the way you want it to be, but there are a lot of great documentation sites out there including Zabbix's own. Not to mention they have some paid for training courses with certifications, which is awesome. If you spend the time to properly read up on Zabbix and get it setup the way you need it to, I promise you won't regret not paying for an off the shelf SaaS solution.

Avantages :

It's open-source! What isn't to love about a high quality, highly configurable, high functioning IT management tool that is 100% free. Besides the fact that it's open-source and free, the Zabbix platform is incredibly configurable, meaning it's not one shoe fits all. It can be 100% customised to work for your specific needs in your unique business/IT setup.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I would really like, is an officially supported Zabbix mobile app. Although some awesome developer out there has done one themselves, which I've used in the past, one that was properly supported and integrated securely with Zabbix itself would be amazing as someone in IT on the go.

Commentaires : Fantastic tool that is setup to monitor and alert on all our hosts and APIs.

Avantages :

Beats many/most SaaS monitoring tools with zero cost as an open source platform. Has a native agent for many OSs that can be deployed easily. We use Zabbix to monitor our systems in a data center and cloud all with a single dashboard. Can be extended to use Web Scenarios which will performance monitor systems/connectivity, too. Probably the best open source tool for monitoring on the market.

Inconvénients :

You need to host it yourself and setup does take some time to get all systems monitoring and dashboards created. (The tool does have a find feature so it will auto import most systems on your network or VPC so that gives a good starting place).

Zabbix review

Avantages :

The single best thing about zabbix is that it's completely free but without lacking anything compared to commercial monitoring tools. It covers pretty much everything from windows servers, esxi servers, HTTP endpoints till our UPS. It produces meaningful graphs and has triggers for each alert. Also it integrates with a lot of tools like Pagerduty to receive alerts. Overall its a complete enterprize level monitoring solution for the infrastructure

Inconvénients :

I would say zabbix has 2 downsides. The first is that you need to configure everything and it can be intimidating if you are not experienced user and the second is the web scenarios for http endpoint monitoring isnt neither great nor straightforward.

Monitoring services

Commentaires : Zabbix is a perfect place for monitoring solutions. It gives ease to monitor and see the availability of important servers and devices. Deployment and management is absolutely a simple job. All we need to work on graphs to see and analyze the data which is also not a big deal.

Avantages :

1. An open-source platform that is worth considering for monitoring device availability. 2. Large number of support communities. 3. Simple and easy setup to start and understand. A single plane navigation for a number of devices together with a good performance.

Inconvénients :

1. Not very much automated which is a necessity now, manual script and work required. 2. There are issues with data collection timing and accuracy, occasionally causing delays between the displayed information and actual events.

Monitoring of server machine

Commentaires : Very flexible and highly customizable product for monitoring and analyzing logs.
We can easily configure alerts on emails as well. Simplifies installation and setup.
Although the product experience is good enough.

Avantages :

1. Perfectly designed and user-friendly interface. 2. We can easily integrate this with other products to perform cloud monitor. 3. Visual representation of data in the form of graphs is one of the best factor using this product.

Inconvénients :

1. Need more manual work to do after changing small information as there is no auto-populating of changes like config file change, or hostname change. 2. UI is a little outdated and slow as well.

Eye for environment

Commentaires : Using Zabbix is quite easy and effective to monitor the environment with proper graphical records and the cost is also good to consider. The support community is big and knowledgable.

Avantages :

1. Documentation and community is wide and extremely helpful. 2. Extremely easy deployment and usage. 3. Dashboard is power of this platform and proper graphical orientation.

Inconvénients :

1. Slow working and alerting. 2. Integration is sometime difficult as manual scripts are needed.

Great and Easy Monitoring

Avantages :

Super easyy but very customisable dashboards, wich can be shared very easily amongst Teammembers

Probably the Learning-Curve with setting up Dashboards. I am missing some Tutorials, but thats stuff Third Partys uploaded to Youtube

Commentaires : Great, it's easy to deploy, and very intuitive. A great community to help as well and you're able to meet all your business needs for monitoring and dashboarding in one centralised product.

Avantages :

The most effective monitoring solution you can get for free - Great integrations and dashboarding, with some very advanced features such as dynamic dashboards and alerting.

Inconvénients :

Maintaining Zabbix in and of itself is more challenging, as a self hosted service, it is on the administrator to find modules or templates and these do not always work.

I can easily integrate all types of operating systems into Zabbix and track things like server load, CPU utilization, ssh alerts, and much more.

Inconvénients :

Although I like all the features but Zabbix 5.0 is more stable than others.

Commentaires : It's the main app for get and store info about our infra. Several months are stored and we can get nice graphs.

Avantages :

Zabbix is a great tool for make monitoring on your infraestructure. You can get alerts based on hour, diferent metrics, a sum of problems like @high cpu usage on four servers" at the same time. This help us to get stats and make changes.

Inconvénients :

It's hard to understand the main concepts. There is no work on news systems like Kubernetes and autoscalation.

The customized audit log view can be modified as per the roles and permission to maintain the privacy of data. Trigger display can be customized. Zabbix is the one-stop software tool for monitoring the complete infrastructure. The end-to-end security and distributed monitoring help to track and audit the remote data centers. Zabbix proxies server help in isolating the network and speeding up the response from node. Best thing I like in Zabbix is that the agents never get out of dated as New Zabbix version always supports its previous agent version. Inconvénients :

The problem detection and metric collection display should be configurable for each user view. The configuration for event correlation need to trigger points and it should come with the test feature button to check the functionality.

Avantages :

Zabbix provide the enterprise level monitor. Network monitoring is every effective as it let us know the each packet loss rate and interface error rate with this it's each to check the network health and also monitor any changes in network like hardware removed or connected. Server Monitoring have feature to monitor the host and help in administration. It also provide the number of templates to monitor the all poplar Operating System. A large Zabbix community is also a plus point of it. Application monitoring is the best of zabbix as it have number of in-build template to monitor the Applications.

Inconvénients :

Most complex part of in it is implementation and configuration for dashboard. Learning curves are sharp as it have limited engineer that work on it. The master node can be setup only on Linux OS.

Overall this is very good application but the least part is when problem get solve it will update the status after 10 to 15 minutes.

Commentaires : Zabbix is one component of my managed services platform. It handles multi-tenancy well. It has been 100% reliable at watching my clients' machines and alerting me to problems that require action. Zabbix can be fine tuned so that you are notified of just the problems that require your attention, without a lot of noise. I use the notification options to control how, where and at what times I am alerted, based on severity.

Avantages :

With Zabbix, you can monitor and automate just about anything. Highly, HIGHLY configurable and scalable. It can monitor processes within a machine, connectivity between machines, performance, availability, SLA compliance, and so on using TCP/IP, SNMP, IPMI, JMX. It's actively developed Free software with a large community, so you can expect frequent updates and new features. The server is Linux based but there are monitoring agents for all the major OSes.

Inconvénients :

Zabbix takes some time to learn the framework. There are several parts to construct just one monitor-trigger-action item. Pre-built templates make it easier to begin and provide some examples to study, but this is not a plug-n-play application. More like a box of Legos. Not that I like this aspect least, but mention it as fair warning for those prospecting for a monitoring solution.

Once you get used to it being open on another monitor or in the background, that becomes part of your office life. If you suspect something's going wrong - a quick look at the dashboard will already give you an idea or where to dig.

Inconvénients :

Configuration wise it seems all locked to the skilled admins that know how to deal with it, putting it out of reach of regular users. Seems to be lacking customization for the dashboard style.
