Avantages :

J'ai apprécié la facilité du paramétrage et de l'installation de la plateforme. Il y a plusieurs étapes à suivre afin d'ajouter son nom de domaine, gérer ses emails et personnaliser le design. Ces étapes sont bien documentées en vidéo. La possibilité de tout traduire en français, y compris les modèles d'emails et les formulaires d'inscription, me permet de proposer un annuaire parfaitement francophone. Le respect du RGPD est assuré avec les cases à cocher prévues à chaque fois qu'une donnée personnelle doit être saisie. J'apprécie beaucoup la possibilité de créer plusieurs plans tarifaires pour les membres, dont des gratuits. Pour chaque plan, il est possible d'octroyer des droits différents selon ce que l'on désire. J'ai du faire appel au helpdesk à deux reprises et on m'a répondu dans la journée de façon très professionnelle et précise. Pour conclure, je dirais que lorsqu'on utilise Brilliant, on sent que la plateforme existe depuis longtemps et que les développeurs l'ont fait évoluer pour tenir compte des demandes des utilisateurs.

Inconvénients :

Comme il existe de nombreuses fonctionnalités et que l'on peut créer une politique de droits très fine selon les plans tarifaires, il est nécessaire de tout tester afin de vérifier que cela fonctionne comme on le souhaite. Cela m'a pris pas mal de temps pour arriver au résultat optimal, malgré la documentation très abondante. Le frontend est traduit automatiquement en français, mais il reste beaucoup de mots en anglais. Pour les traduire, il est nécessaire de le faire manuellement en parcourant des dizaines d'onglets, voire de widgets, et c'est assez chronophage. Pour conclure, je dirais qu'il faut prévoir du temps pour mettre en place un système personnalisé dans lequel tout est traduit en français.

Amazing directory platform with rich set of features

Commentaires : We are a large institute with 1000s of private tutors. We wanted to showcase our member teachers and also encourage our students to review and rate them or hire them from our website after evaluating the profile of these teachers. For this purpose, brilliant directory comes extremely handy.

Avantages :

Most Impactful features: Membership management , automated emails at different stages of membership lifecycle, getleadmatched, SEO and there are many out of the box impactful features.

Inconvénients :

For the new bees with no technical background, learning curve can be little steep. But with the guide documents/videos for almost everything and very helpful support, this is not a major issue.

Awesome Product Im Glad I Found It

Commentaires : I would say that my overall experience with Brilliant Directories is 4.5 stars only because i failed to manage my expectations.

Avantages :

I enjoy knowing that I do not have to create all those automatic email forms, or the privacy policy, terms and conditions. For the most part all you have to do is add a title for your site, the logo, categories and subcategories. The site is clean in design and the best part is that it is already mobile friendly (that alone is a relief) Now, I have used some AI chat bots in my time but the one that is on the admin site is freaking awesome and by far the best I have ever dealt with, so my hats are off to whoever is the mastermind behind that thing. A very well trained AI Chat Bot!

Inconvénients :

I am a a novice website designer and I had some issues with were to start and what the next steps were. BD does a good job at providing training but does not make as easy as I assumed it should be to paint by the numbers. I was expecting a step by step guide illustrating what to do and how to do it. Now dont get this wrong, I found out how to do what I needed to do but it was not without some fustration.

NO SOURCE CODE

Lots of features. Their salesmen are good at telling you all the things you want to hear. After your payment clears the bank, you learn the truth about the limitations.

Inconvénients :

Their claim to provide the source code is BS. Regardless of what they tell you, they limit access to the source code and you will spend a lot of money trying to customize the system. I believe they limit access, so they can sell you Customization Hours. The designs are way outdated and customizing is very limited. Look deeper at their examples. We fell for the initial purchase and then a follow up email for another license for super cheap, so before I could get into customizing their product, I owned two licenses (and still do, for sale by the way). On the surface, BD appears to be perfect. It is great as long as you don't need unlimited access to the code or REALLY need to customize it (not talking about changing colors). You decide.

Commentaires : I am satisfied at the moment. I am overwhelmed with tips, guides, webinars on how to get successful in your business.

Avantages :

The app is easy to navigate. Documentation-wise, there is a structured guidelines on how to setup the website, popular how-tos, webinars, etc.. In terms of documentations, they have a massive number of videos and webinars and tutorials available on their YouTube channel that will guide you build your website, and will also guide you to maximize the full potential of your website in acquiring members. The support sytem is also fantastic. I always get response from them on time. After testing the app, I immediately upgraded to higher Tier.

Inconvénients :

None at the moment. I am currently happy with my experience with this app.

Off to a solid start

Commentaires : I am just starting to use Brilliant Directories, but so far it has been very intuitive. I'm surprised it is as inexpensive as it is.

Platform that suites all my needs in one go

Great No-Code, Low-maintenance Directory Option

Commentaires : I used Brilliant Directories to set up a membership directory of small businesses and entrepreneurs. I needed something that integrated well into my existing site, and was easy to set up, without relying on code. Brilliant Directories was very easy to setup and match to the theme of the rest of my website. The help content and videos were extremely useful, and the platform is easy to manage.

If You Demand the Best - Look No Further

The inability to build high-end landing pages that render beautifully in mobile view. While there have been improvements in this area, there is still a long way to go. I hope capability gets serious attention in the new year.

I Didn’t Think It Could Be Done – How Wrong I Was

Commentaires : Some of my previous directory software had some features but were either not very well supported, were not reliable or were out of date. Brilliant Directories look after and update every single feature-packed section of their platform which is very encouraging. Support is very fast and knowledable.

I’ve been ‘looking’ at running a directory for some time now. Using Wordpress, JVZoo and Warrior Plus products and services but NONE have given a satisfactory result. My local community enjoyed my local website for a number of years but it never really turned into something I was planning to do with it. Other directories I’ve managed suffered from lack of support or even the vendors going out of business. So, I needed a format from a vendor I could trust that had first class support in place, a reliable website with an engine that was updated regularly and, also, had to be easy to use. I didn’t think it could be done but, how wrong I was … enter Brilliant Directories. Absolutely everything one could wish for seemed to be included in their offering. Getting started was a breeze as everything is laid out in a sensible order with help every step of the way via text documents with images and or short training videos. I needed to contact support on occasions and they got back to me in a timely manner which did impress me. I now have a clear roadmap to how I can monetise all the features that Brilliant Directories brings to the table. Yes, it’s a big deal to get from starting to the finished article and it won’t be done overnight but, the way everything is presented inside each directory makes it so straightforward and intuitive that any of the usual roadblocks are simply not there. Some features are niggly to set up but not because of Brilliant Directories but places like the Google developers section and Facebook Apps which are very complex for a non-techie person. However Brilliant Directories had text and image help files and videos on each step so softened the frustration. Also, support were able to step in to help very quickly.

Excellent software to build your dream directory

Commentaires : Your customers can have membership plans so they can publish in your directory. BD has many useful tools integrated - like SEO, Payment gateway, and different cine of post types.In BD you can costumise everything. Also, their ready-made templates and ready to go out of the box. Builders have blocks to start with and like the flexibility to edit the code.

Over the Top Support

Commentaires : This particular review is focused on the support from the people at Brilliant Directories versus the product itself (which is excellent!!). All of my interactions have been positive and I have received the help I've needed at the time. From my initial contact with the company via [SENSITIVE CONTENT] initially as well as his help in the last few days, the assistance has been excellent. The support team has been very responsive in my experiences with them, when I have had questions about how to do something, or when I have wanted to know "if" I could do something. Their willingness to go beyond has been over the top for me. That doesn't often occur these days and I am thankful.

Avantages :

Ease of use to get up and running in a short amount of time with the basics for adding members. Fine-tuning does take more time to get into, but is expected. The better prepared and organized you are before getting started, the better.

Inconvénients :

There is a learning curve to refine what is needed on a long-term basis, but that is to be expected with going to any new platform. It depends a lot on your model and what you are wanting to do. The upside is that the support and the community are very helpful as you build out your directory, which is very welcomed especially when you are new and maybe not as sure where you are headed with your business.

Right Choice!

Avantages :

I tried almost every membership and directory software in the industry. Overall, Brilliant Directories is the best solution for me. I used the free trial option for a week and loved it. It is so easy to use and it's an awesome product even without the VIP Add-Ons.

Inconvénients :

I'll let you know once I open it to the world. I haven't tested it with the real members yet.

I created a top-notch website with no knowledge of programming or coding, thanks to the great work done behind the scenes by everyone involved with Brilliant Directories. They are truly passionate about their work, and it shows.

Avantages :

My previous website built by another company started falling to pieces due to the fact that the programmers wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for every comma or full stop I needed to add. I could not do any alterations myself, even though they had promised that I would own the code. In the end, I lost all my google rankings and it became ineffective. I was about to lose all my members and 3 years of hard work. I am so glad that after some research, I found this great company who ticked all the boxes of my requirements. First, I wanted to be able to customise all the site pages. Not just the design features. I needed to be able to create new customised pages, in order to allow me to develop my original concept. As well, I wanted this flexibility to be able to keep the website relevant as time went by. Secondly, I wanted to have a support team which is expert and dedicated to this site. The main clincher is that the support is included for free with the package you buy, and not charged separately for every minor issue one will invariably encounter along the way. The exception to this is when you need to do some major changes which will affect the whole system. The job you require is quoted by select programmers, who do a great job. The forte of brilliant directories is their amazing documentation, video tutorials and the Webinar Wednesdays. Go through these and you can learn how to manage your site inside and out. They hold nothing back. Cannot thank them enough.

Even though Brilliant Directories offer website templates for most types of businesses, varying from Yellow pages type, to Real Estate to Events to Jobs, if you have a website concept that doesn't fit exactly into a template, then you need to do some customisation. For this you need to pay extra. The learning curve increases the more different your concept varies from the templates. There are so many possibilities with this software, that you can never really master it all, especially if you have no coding knowledge like myself. However, considering the low entry fee, and that most businesses are covered by the templates, then the chance of any major software customisation you might need are minimal. Anyway, to their credit, they are constantly updating the basic structure with new functions and this is decreasing the need of customisation.

Finally I have made a decision!

Commentaires : I have been looking for a platform for creating business software and its vendors directory. I analyzed many Word Press Directory Themes available on the market and decided not to compile my system from numerous plugins but to use integrated platform devoted for this purpose.
After comparing Market Grabber, eDirectory and Brilliant Directories platforms I have chosen the last one.
Pros:
1. Convenient directory structure. I will use Listing feature for Vendors and Product feature for software systems.
2. Continually developing leads generating module.
3. Perfectly developed users training and support system (videos, documentation, community forums').
Cons:
1. There is not possible to set up hierarchical structure for products feature.
2. Products rating and review functionality is missing.
3. Not very flexible pricing setting system for different membership levels. It would be nice to set additional payments for every category and service area.

My Great Experience with Brilliant Directories

Commentaires : It has been exceptional, I love the videos like I told representative, I stay up late at night just watch them. They are great educational tools. The conference calls are great because you get to learn from other entrepreneurs from all over the world. I didn't have that experience with the other company., or maybe they didn't stress it enough as Brilliant directory does. The other great experience I had in the last few days, is the call that I get from the owners of Brilliant directory, representative a co-owner calls me to congratulate me on my site. That tells me that they are paying attention to what new business owners are doing, it tells me that they are not just for our money, but also for the success of our business. That is key!

Avantages :

I really don't know where to start. There are so many great features that brilliant Directories offer. I love the different themes and ideas that the Brilliant Directory provides for me and my company. I have been with E-directory for several years, and I sometimes feel that they don't want to be bothered, on the other hand, I get the feeling that the owners and staff of Brilliant Directory make me feel that if they don't help us to succeed they won't succeed. That is a great attitude to have in any business. At first, it bothered me about the 15 minutes call they grant us, but after 2 sessions with Representative, he was able to show me how to build my site in less than 15 minutes.

Inconvénients :

Cons I can't speak of any. I haven't had any bad experience as of yet I don't foresee any, they are very organized with their product, knowledge, and training.

He got me through that time when I was about to throw in the towel. As a developer, I need to say, your code is excellent, very light'script-wise etc. And hardly any bugs. I've worked on CMS's with so many scripts (for example Magento) - yours seems light as a feather. The BD template has great SM integration, email templates and member backend - you saved my client thousands of dollars in development fees. If my client takes advantage of your lead generation system - there is no excuse for not having a successful directory. You have supplied all anyone needs for a strong launch. That you don't have a lot info for a developer yet is probably the only thing that was frustrating. It would be nice to see visually what all those widgets are in the backend, but I know that will come in the future. Finally, at some point, Alex said to me, 'Welcome to the BD family' on Skype. It really meant something to me, I actually felt it, and after days of working with you all I realized just how much of a family you all are, how you all respect each other and work so closely and with so much care. That 'Welcome to the BD family' wasn't just a typical business welcome. It was a real thing. I would love to work with you all again. And for sure, I will be recommending BD to other developers

My opinion of Brilliant Directories

Commentaires : I would like to share my brief opinion of Brilliant Directories Our team have looked into many directory softwares before we decided on BD. We are experts in WordPress sites and have created and still run a number of WordPress based directories We have purchased 3 FULL licenses from BD as we fully believe this is the best directory software available. BD is 99% ready to go live from the very start, many sites will be able to signup, watch the videos, do some basic changes and off they go. It is the closest directory software thats ready to go straight from off the shelf. We are trying to create directory sites that function slightly different to the majority of directory sites out there, so we are undertaking many customisations in the looks and design and the way it functions. Our development team have found the structure of the BD backend, the access to certain functions and code, is amazingly simple and easy. The more we play around with the system and the code, the more we appreciate what the Brilliant Directory team have created. On the surface the BD admin area is basic. However looking at it in more details you will find that theres a whole world of tweaks, changes and edits that are possible. The system appears to be rock solid, and even when we think we are pushing the system to its limits with code changes, it always functions well. We are extremely happy with our purchase of the FULL licenses, and we have no doubt we will be able to create the perfect directory sites we are aiming to achieve. The only negative we need to make is that we are based in different time zones from the BD team so when we ask a question, we are always a day late in getting a response even if responded by the BD team that same day. I think if the BD team can improve their support reply time scale then the service will be not far from perfect in our opinion I hope that this helps people in some way, and gives some idea of our experience BD team, you guys are nearly there, keep improving the system (as we see you do) and customer service side of things and we think you will go far as a business. Brilliant Directories Software Review

Commentaires : This software is good in terms of functionality as it manages subscriptions nicely and wraps the directory functionality into one. However, the user interface is pretty confusing. It takes a long time to figure out how all of the pieces are connected (i.e. where links are stored, how to change forms, how the forms connect with widgets etc.) The UI and the flow could be more user friendly and obvious. Perhaps there should be an overview about how all of the pieces of the website link up to each other. Once you figure out how to use the tools, it requires jumping between many different components to implement a simple change, so it is a bit clunky. Additionally, you really need significant coding experience to customize. I.e. Part of the reason we purchased this software was because it had many of the features we need, and in particular I was told pre-purchase that there was a way to create different types of users (i.e. a general user, A listing user, a non-listing user) and that I could also customize what they each see in their profile. In reality however, in order to customize what each sees in their profile, you need to custom code, which I wasn't aware of....Overall the software includes great functionality for running a site and managing subscriptions but could be more user friendly.

Flexible

Commentaires : I am greatful.i found them. They are professional and have excellent technology that fits my needs. Their platform allows for users to monetize it and Brilliant Directories is not counting my potential revenue. They come from a solution approach.

There is so much this does and I have not explored all features. I am hoping to find a feature that allows users to build a network of local businesses and share their network with other users. I would define users as internal and external. Internal are users within the directory that utilize the directory to promote their business where external customers use the directory to search.. if I am a Realtor and have 50 internal customers I am constantly sharing with buyers and seller who are external customers.. I would like to leverage the directory where external customers would get my list of internal customers..

My BD Site experience

That the BD team is reluctant to provide more support and make us poor souls rely on the partners who have found a way to monitize a wonderful product. The support and new features should stay within BD and it could grow even bigger. I would rather pay BD the support fees than people who run away because they are not fully committed to the product - just there to capitilize on something great

All-in-One Membership Site Solution

Avantages :

One of the standout features for me is the Instant Business Records or "Business Data" This allows me to quickly find local companies and upload their information into my directory. The best part? I can contact them immediately about their free listing in my directory. If they need to edit their listing or want to advertise more prominently, I can easily offer different membership levels to suit their needs. This feature alone has saved me so much time and effort in building a comprehensive and engaging directory. Another big plus is the ready-made themes. These themes are industry-specific and come with default layouts and filters that are highly relevant to the businesses I'm targeting. This makes it incredibly easy to set up a professional-looking site without needing to dive into complex design work.

Inconvénients :

One of the main drawbacks I've encountered is the limited filtering options in the Business Data feature. Currently, I can only filter by one business category at a time. Although there's an option for a "broader search," it doesn't quite meet my needs when I just want to focus on a few specific categories. This limitation can make it a bit challenging to narrow down the exact businesses I'm looking to target for my directory. While the themes are user-friendly and ready to use, the design elements and aesthetics may appear somewhat outdated. A modern design update would be beneficial.
