Avantages :

We needed a platform to conduct testing for our members which would limit their ability to "cheat". It is easy to use and setup. Provides for easy grading/reporting after the exam as well.

Inconvénients :

More security features to allow less cheating, although I don't really know what those would be.

I've Used ProProfs for Over 13 Years

Commentaires : Overall, ProProfs is the best classroom assessment program I have found, and believe me, I have looked! It's far and above Google Forms, more versatile that ClassMarker. I have been a ProProfs user for over 13 years and have recommended it to teachers in multiple school districts. It's the best product of this kind that I have used.

Avantages :

As a teacher, I need ways to automate some of my most mundane tasks. Students also benefit when they receive immediate feedback on their work. ProProfs does both of these, and it does them well. I can produce an assessment in ProProfs in relatively little time (10 to 20 minutes), and that assignment can be ready to be linked to students immediately.When students take an exam or quiz on ProProfs, I can 'randomize' the questions, so every student sees the questions in a slightly different order. This helps stop cheating in the classroom! I can set the test so students cannot switch tabs on their browser while taking the test. I can produce 'banks' of questions with the Tags option and give each student a slightly different set of questions, so they are assessed on the same material without being able to share answers. Quizzes can be password protected or set so they become active or expire at a certain time. These options are excellent!ProProfs keeps updating their software and making it better each year. Up until recently, there were only two options for sharing scores with students - immediately sending them a score report upon taking the test, or not sending them a report at all. They recently changed this, so that I can click on a student's report (or a group of students) and send them a detailed score report at any time I wish. This improves test security and makes this software even better.I have used ProProfs since 2009, and I use it on a daily basis.

Inconvénients :

A few years ago, ProProfs implemented a 'Users' function. Some of the more common K-12 accounts limit teachers to 75 users, which is not nearly enough in a high school. I hope ProProfs increases teacher accounts to 150 users, which honestly is the minimum number of users that would be practical for a high school teacher like myself.

Needs a feature that would enable grading a range of quantitative values

Avantages :

The select-a-region questions and the certificates.

Inconvénients :

An important feature that is missing is the ability to score a quantitative range of input as correct. I have several key question types for which the correct answer is anything between (for example) 1.58 and 1.79. ProProfs currently does not allow me to use these kinds of questions. Because of these questions are ultimately more important for my use case than the select-a-region questions and the end-of-quiz certificates, I have switched to Canvas. If you could make these types of questions possible, I would happily switch back!

Straight Forward, Easy to Use

Commentaires : I use ProProfs along with another quiz maker service that is a direct competitor. For quick and easy quizzes that use True/False and multiple choices, it's hard to beat ProProfs in terms of its ease of use. The competitor that I used for complex quizzes that also employ custom, results-based instruction for further training, is much more cumbersome to navigate and create in. It was a service that had to be learned through trial and error and reading knowledge base articles on how to do certain things. With ProProfs, you can jump right in and start generating stuff without feeling overwhelmed or lost. It's also be an extremely reliable service with extremely, minimal downtime.

Avantages :

ProProfs makes it quick to setup graded quizzes that result in a customization certificate. Pretty much any person can setup an account and start generating quizzes (and more) without having to decipher complex coding or a myriad of complex menu options.

Inconvénients :

Some recent UI updates have slowed down the process of generating quizzes. By default, a question isn't marked as being required. Before recent UI changes, marking a question as required was a simply checkbox clearly visible when editing a question. Now, you have to expand the "Advanced" menu on the question and tick the required box. It's nit-picky, but that simple UI change grates on me when I'm created a long training quiz. It's unnecessarily adding time to the process. A clearly visible check box that isn't hidden would be so much better. It'd be nice to either have all the questions just flagged required by default--only unchecking the ones that you don't want to force a response on. I'd have to guess that more often than not, people prefer to have required questions on a quiz. Again, it's nit-picky and a small annoyance in an otherwise great product. It would also be nice to be able to provide matrix style checkbox questions.

Avantages :

I have been using ProProfs for in-class assessment and GCSE revision for quite a few years now. It enables me to assess frequently and extensively. I am able to create my own tests, modify then, and reuse the questions.

Inconvénients :

Some of the controls aren't intuitive, but I've been using it for so long I've forgotten some of the issues I had initially. The biggest issue we have now is that our ISP blocks the email feature so that I can no longer target tests to individual students. I have had to adapt to make my assessments a bit more generic, but I've been able to make the needed changes. It would be preferable to be able to target individual users so that I could use the built-in grade book feature.

Excellent System for Evaluating Course Attendees

Commentaires : Again, over ten years, we've had only a handful of times where we had to reach out for support, and it has always been a pleasurable experience in that they make us feel like we are their only customer by quickly taking care of the issue or keeping us updated when an issue took longer than a few hours. Good people, excellent support and system that just works.

Avantages :

We looked at the applications available ten years ago and chose ProProfs because of the ease of setup and the ability to provide our course attendees with a better way to assess their knowledge of our system. We've reviewed newer alternatives and still find that ProProfs makes whats important to us their priority.

Inconvénients :

I can think of only one thing that has caused us angst over the years, and that's the ability to output the exam to a spreadsheet.

Excellent product for training verification

Ability to customize quizzes (training verification) for particular job roles and organizational segments. The reports are very useful along with the ability to export data to excel promotes ease of use for sorting and cross verification. Ability to send links via e-mail allows users to complete training verification at their own workstation.

Flexible and effective tool, although a bit pricey

Avantages :

I like ProProfs because it is flexible and effective. It allows me to program quizzes at the start of the course at leave everything programmed. It also gives you the possibility to randomize the order of questions and answers, as well as to select questions randomly from a pool. With the level of cheating that you see nowadays, that is a must.

Inconvénients :

Time on time I encounter glitches in the software, although that does not happy often. The price is another downside to me.

The product is intuitive, and easy to use. I’ve used the software for about seven years and have not had any issues.

My only improvement with the software is that all the spreadsheets can’t be downloaded at one time.

Commentaires : I have been utilizing a quiz maker for a while now, and I'm quite fond of its user-friendly features and the array of available tools. However, I've noticed a slight discrepancy when it comes to presenting the results – the data doesn't retain the same level of attractiveness as it appears on the results page. This is an area that could certainly benefit from some enhancements.Furthermore, I'd like to suggest the idea of developing a simulation tool as an alternative assessment method. Incorporating such a tool could provide an innovative way to evaluate learning outcomes and enhance the overall learning experience.

Easy to create and administer and the structure of the questions available such as, ranking, etc.

The look of the charts and text when transferred to powerpoint.

ProProfs was key to the success of my company

Avantages :

Being able to quickly set up an online quiz and continue to iterate it as we learned more made a difference. It would have taken us much longer to create from scratch and we would have lost out on valuable time. It is a great tool.

Inconvénients :

No cons - it is a great product. It is easy to use

Best testing site with lots of options

Avantages :

I like being able to download an Excel file that I can upload into my online grade book. I also like the question analysis. I also like being able to set the number of times a student can attempt to take a test and being able to set a specific time when the test is available. I also like being able to compose a test offline and upload it to the site

Inconvénients :

I wish I could add a video to a question. I wish there was a way to sort out responses by class . . .

I find it easy to use for creating variety of quizzes. It has simplified my work a lot.

Avantages :

Proprofs quiz maker is the best tool to create quizzes.You can make any type of quizzes be it personality, fun, fashion or survey easily and quickly. It has several predefined template for every type of quiz whether you want to create MCQ's or elaborative quizzes.

Inconvénients :

I wish they would have extended the trial more than 15 days it would be at least one month. Navigation of the tool could have been better

Just what we need for quizzes

Commentaires : we use this to test new employees and make sure they understand key concepts of our onboarding training. It works well for that purpose. I like the auto emails that you can send with results.

This is an easy to use platform for making quizzes. It has a decent amount of functionality. You can create many different types of quiz questions and can auto send results of the quizzes.

Inconvénients :

i just wish had a little bit more customization in terms of the look of the quizzes. Other than that, i am very happy.
