We've been with Genesis for over 10 years, need I say more? Consistent confidence in their service.
Commentaires : In the 10 years I've been in practice, I've never once had to worry about insurance billing and collections.
Avantages :
Ease of use and customization to your practice. Nothing is missed from billing and collections to patient missed visits. Reports are awesome and everything you need is just a click away.
Inconvénients :
The only thing I don't like is opening a ticket for any and all communication with the company. It makes sense that by doing it this way, every piece of communication is documented, but sometimes one just likes to pick up the phone. :)

Commentaires : Overall I am happy with the system and how much more efficient it has made our office from the front, to billing and to the doctor doing his notes.
Avantages :
There are many functions to Genesis that we at our office really enjoy. It is able to connect the schedule well and the immediate access to notes for the doctor. The schedule is linked to our online scheduling and review wave makes it very convenient for our patients to be able to communicate effectively. We can communicate within the office using their task bar (making it HIPAA compliant) and with Genesis team or billing stream lining our questions and concerns.
Inconvénients :
There is a lot of functionality in Genesis. We probably use a quarter of all the functions that comes with this system. The intake process has been a bit tough for us as we find patients have a tough time navigating and getting through it in a timely manner. There is a lot of processes going on at once so the transition from page to page is not as fast as I would like so we upped our computers to 16G of ram because 8 was not cutting it.

Most comprehensive EHR software - hands down.
Commentaires : One thing that sets Genesis EHR apart from other software is its constant improvement. The Genesis team is always making updates and adding new features to make the software even better. We have seen the software evolve over the past 6 years, and it continues to get better and better.Switching EHRs can be a pain, but we are glad we made the switch to Genesis. It has made running our practice much easier, and we could not be happier with the software. If you are looking for a robust EHR to help you manage your practice efficiently, I highly recommend Genesis. They truly dominate the chiropractic EHR space, and we are grateful for all they do.

As a successful chiropractor who has been using Genesis EHR for the past 6 years, I can confidently say that this software has been a game-changer for our practice. We are a large practice that deals with mostly cash and some PI cases, and we have used several major EHRs both server and cloud-based. Before making the switch to Genesis, we did several demonstrations for almost every EHR out there, but none had all the features we wanted or needed until we discovered Genesis.Genesis EHR has everything we need to run our busy practice efficiently. From managing our patients' treatment plans, booking appointments, generating detailed reports, to providing systems and automation, this software does it all. The documentation process is super fast, and the cloud-based software works seamlessly with our Macintosh computers and iPads. We have been impressed with the level of support provided by the Genesis team. They are always ready to assist us with any questions or concerns we may have.
Inconvénients :
Not the most intuitive but they are constantly improving functionality and user interface.

Commentaires : I use various billing software systems and I am sorry to say this one is my least favorite. It is not user friendly - meaning I have a hard time finding what I need to do my job. I have completed tutorials, but still have many questions regarding the billing aspect. Too many tabs! If you change something in one tab you have to save or lose that info, even if you have an update in another tab. Posting payments is clumsy and demands i know various arbitrary numbers - 111 or 197 etc - to post correctly. Way too many insurance code choices - confuses the front desk and then we have patients with UHC or United Healthcare or United Heath Care - and then if the insurance code chosen is not set up correctly (which on the user end I do not know) i have a billing problem. I even find the tasks confusing - I still go to the home page to make a task - less confusing than the multiple choices in the task tab.
Avantages :
Does have access to all the information I need. Internet based is super so I can access the account from anywhere.
Inconvénients :
Not user friendly. Has its own verbiage that does not match industry standards or even your own training. This makes it cumbersome to find what i need. For instance, I need a month end report. Yours is called the A/R Money Transfer Type Report. But I don't go to reports-A/R for this report. I have to know to go to reports-reconciliations-month close-history-MTT. There are too many steps involved in processes. For a copy of an unmatched payment report I have to know to go to the picture at the bottom of the page, then do a control+a, then control+c, then paste into excel - but not just any paste - i have to paste special and text. Golly - just to get a working report? Too much information on the logs. I have to scroll and hunt to get to my last note because i have to get around extraneous information such as the address had the apt number updated, or the claim id number or it went from invalid to valid. Too much information that is not necessary in day to day operations. I would only need any of this if i had to research a problem.

This is a web based application so loading windows can be slow sometimes. This results in waiting for information to load before a patient can be treated.

Worth the price
Commentaires : My overall experience has been amazing! Any time I've had a frustration they have addressed it imediately and solved my problems quickly. I am truly always impressed with care and attention they give my clinic, even though I am a very small clinic. I thought you would only get this service when you were running a big clinic!
Avantages :
I absolutely LOVE the functionality of this product! The training team was suburb at implementation and they continue to surprise me with how dedicated they are to making sure we are getting the most out of the system. I have been using Genesis for just shy of a year and the billing team has already helped me improve my billing and collect more, and I couldn't be happier to have those items off my teams list of 'to-do' items!
Inconvénients :
I honestly hated the cost the most.... at the beginning! When I first learned what this software was going to cost me, I thought I'd never be able to make those payments EVERY month. But what I can say now is that they have saved me money and helped me make gains in my collections and I couldn't be happier! The only big thing I think they could improve upon is their patient intake forms. The patients have a great online portal to fill them out on but it is not mobile friendly and that's difficult for a lot of my new patients coming in.

Avantages :
Genesis software has streamlined my office and my team. We love the many features that make our office more efficient than ever. I have used other Chiropractic software over my 30 years of practice, but none compares to Genesis!
Inconvénients :
no real cons, there is just a bit of a longer learning curve needed for getting implemented. However, we were told this in advance, so it wasn't a surprise or shock to us.

Commentaires : From day one, they held our hand and did not let go for 6 months, as they moved us through the stages of learning, implementation and operation; they did not let go until we were super comfortable and confident with its use.
Avantages :
I can't say enough good thing about this company, its team, its delivery, its customer support, its training process, and its ability to make my job so much easier and efficient. I would pay twice what they charge for what they provide me both on the clinical documentation and compliance side and the financial tracking side.

I can't think of any. This has been the most well thought-out software in the market.

The reports: they are clunky, cumbersome, and require too much user input rather than being driven from specific clinical endpoints for a well verse report comparing daily, weekly monthly, and yearly.

Certain features are user friendly, but the ones that actually make you difficult.
Avantages :
Scheduling is simple and user friendly. Readily seeing when patients miss an appointment is easy. Submitting tasks to the Genesis team is also simple when you need help having someone explain or walk you through a process.
Inconvénients :
Doctor SOAP notes actually take a significant amount of time to enter unless you spend a lot of money to buy a set up previously designed by someone else. The Billing Team is expensive and they tell you how much they'll work on your behalf, however since they get paid off of what you actually bill out, they have not been motivated to actually resolve issues for us. It's taken our office spending hours on the phone with insurance companies to get detailed answers and remedy situations. Also, when the Billing Team causes an error they blame it on the "user" which is the doctor's office. Finding and printing reports are not user friendly.

The software is relatively easy to use once you go through the training, which I am grateful they offer before you go live.

There is a learning curve to using and utilizing the software. I spent hours on calls for integration into my practice which was good and bad.

Avantages :
We purchased this software after using three other software systems. We have looked into Genesis when we first opened our practice but never signed up for it because it was still new at that time. We looked back into it recently because the software system we have been using has not updated their software to fit our needs over the 10 years that we have had it. We love how far Genesis has come. It is going to be the new software on the market to beat. We love how easy and efficient it is. We love the tasks function so all of us in the office can communicate and get things done efficiently. We also really like how easy and effective billing and insurance is.
Inconvénients :
Honestly there is not really anything we dislike about this software system. I just wish we switched to this system earlier. This system has helped us save so much time on our daily mundane tasks.

We've been in a fast paced, multi-doctor practice for 17 years. We have been able to keep our staff and overhead low using Genesis and a streamlined approach to maximize business profits and patient care.
We've used Genesis for the last 13 years and have been thrilled with it. We have recommended it anytime we've been asked about it. It just works and it works well for all our needs.
Avantages :
Ease of use. Schedule to reschedule to documenting why patients can't make an appt. All around easy to use platform that is quick and efficient. This is huge when having a fast past busy practice. I love that I can drill down into every single claim and know what has been done by the billing team. If I have any issues I can respond directly to that claim or easily open a ticket which is answer promptly. Great. Love how it integrates seamlessly with many different apps to help with Credit card payments, monthly auto payments, auto appt reminders, etc. Lastly, I love that it is cloud based. I can log in from any where at anytime and work on my tx notes or see stats.
Inconvénients :
There are no major cons. It is easy to use and integrates well.

Commentaires : There have been some hiccups along the way but Genesis is always trying to fix it. There is always some ready to get back to you to help fix the problem.
Avantages :
It is very thorough in how it documents the path from patient arriving to the collections. Collections have increased by being able to follow the path and correct it before it is to late to correct.

I have been in discussion with [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. She is very pleasant to work with. Software continues to improve.

Commentaires : Most of the time, we have little issue, and I navigate through things well. When I do, I feel that you are always there to help us out.
Avantages :
I love that we have all patient information in one location. Also, it integrates well with our posture analysis that we use, as well as the SKED texting that we use. I also really love the use of Fortis for our credit transaction and the ease of setting up auto pay. They have also updated to now make it easy to connect credit cards, etc to other accounts for billing purposes, and Genesis integrates well with that.
Inconvénients :
I wish that the care plan section was a little more user friendly and adaptable to the specifics of the individual offices using it. I wish that there was a section for us to log EOB information, as we do our insurance filing outside of Genesis. I cannot stand the way that "tasks" work. I do not like the fact that after I send it, I have no point of reference until someone responds back to me.

The team gives great customer service.
Commentaires : It's practice management tools are second to none that I have used in the past. I have used Practice Fusion, ChiroTouch, and others. This is the most robust software that I've used.
Avantages :
The vast number of features and customizations and custom reports we can have it generate. This is also my con because it's almost too much and it isn't intuitive. I compare Genesis to a PC with windows or Android. It works well if you have a high level of knowledge and know how to manipulate it. VS a Mac or Apple that you just open up and it begins working, you don't have to be an IT specialist to get the most out of it.
Inconvénients :
The vast # of customizations. It's been over two years and i still discover tools that I didn't know existed. Perhaps it exists but i never saw it, but a complete manual helping to set up, teach new employees and customize to fit a growing or changing practice without having to open tickets all the time.

Commentaires : We are handling insurance claim rejections as they occur in real time and already seeing an increase in insurance collections by more than double.
Avantages :
Creating and loading useful macros for daily visits, exams, and special office visits, Immediate feedback on claim created, The workbench concept for myself and our team members is invaluable! Transperancy and accountability are much improved!
Inconvénients :
Ability to set a rule for billing non covered services such as cold laser. When a claim gets through to Blue Cross for cold laser, a request for records is triggered and increases work for our staff. Our multidisciplinary schedule calls for different types of treatments with different providers and each area the patient is scheduled into, creates a separate office visit for that patient. Difficult to choose the right one to work out of as a provider. Creates extra steps and double billings. Confusing...

Commentaires : It has been good. They are improving on a regular basis and costumer service is great and timely. I do not have to wait to have questions answered.
Avantages :
I like that insurance and billing are handled. All the EOB is entered so I do not have to hire another team member to help with that. I appreciate that the system integrates with great services like Fortis, posture screen, and review wave.
Inconvénients :
Visually the software is not appealing. When performing EHR. I really wish it did not have to be so tedious to create a note. I also would love a model spine or anatomy body to click and demonstrates from that point on what you did with a patient.

I absolutely love the ease of scheduling patients with this software. I have had some great training with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who has answered every single question I have asked her. She has continued to show us how we can make the system work for us every time we talk.
Inconvénients :
Learning this system can be overwhelming at times however, the customer service is amazing at explaining how to do everything. The workbench will always be hard for us to comprehend, but maybe on day we will figure it out.

I love the reports that it runs automatically! I think it's easy to schedule and reschedule clients. When I have an issue or an idea the customer support is on the ball to answer my questions and very friendly. I don't feel like they assume you're dumb because you have a question they allow you to be able to navigate to your ability.
Inconvénients :
General look is old and outdated. I would like to see it revamped streamlined and more eye friendly. I would like it to run a bit faster as I'm running reports. Most of the time this is great and I don't have many complaints about how to use or how the software functions.

My favorite thing about this software: different color blocks for different patient appointments, intuitive use, adding pop-ups upon patient check-in, all the detail you can add to their travel card. It allows more than one person to use the software from other computers in the office.
Inconvénients :
I am confident that Genesis will update and improve the software as needed. I am very pleased.

Commentaires : Excellent product. You pay for quality. If you don't have complicated, detailed thorough notes you can look elsewhere and be all right.

It can be customized to your liking to fit your practice and integrates with so many programs to seamlessly create a reliable file. They support some great organizations in the industry and profession unlike some other companies. Decent speed to do routine notes.

Cost, as far as I know it is the most expensive EHR software that I have come across.

It is easy to write a note and submit to insurance. It has many features that allow me to integrate other software I have.
Inconvénients :
There is simply too much to know and the training is poor. The initial start up training is woefully inadequate leaving you to learn everything on your own. I simply don't have the time to put in to getting better at the system so as a result I don't use most of the functions available. The system is also expensive.

FANTASTIC experience with Genesis
Avantages :
What I like most is that all the bases are covered and covered well! The practice management part is top notch with their tasking system, patients do not fall through the cracks, staff is held responsible and it is all easily trackable. The reports are fantastic and customizable- which is so important for me since I am not only a chiropractic office but have a wellness center with many different disciplines- also there is a radar chart that allows you to know what is going on with all aspects of your practice in seconds at any time. The scheduling, reminders- easy to use and very intelligently designed. The team is what makes the whole thing come together- they are very responsive, really knowledgeable about all aspects of the system and there is access to the programmers for possible input to make something better for your office or in general. They are on site and open to new ideas. I truly can't say enough!

I am truly happy. This is my 3rd company- finally, I have what I need to run my practice.
