Avantages :

Ease of use - once you know the basic daily tasks/commands needed for your office it becomes very streamlined and easy for staff to use.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it is hard to keep track of and fix errors in patient accounts, I wish there was a way to see what user scheduled or cancelled an appointment.

Avantages :

Ease of use, Integration with other apps, Customer support, Training, Value. I cannot say enough how much I like this software system. It is crystal clear what is being paid (and what is not) without having to run a thousand separate reports. It's all done for me!

Inconvénients :

There is a bit of a learning curve (as there would be with any new software) but once you are used to how the system functions it is amazing.

Chiropractic review on Genesis

Commentaires : Overall I am happy with the system and how much more efficient it has made our office from the front, to billing and to the doctor doing his notes.

Avantages :

There are many functions to Genesis that we at our office really enjoy. It is able to connect the schedule well and the immediate access to notes for the doctor. The schedule is linked to our online scheduling and review wave makes it very convenient for our patients to be able to communicate effectively. We can communicate within the office using their task bar (making it HIPAA compliant) and with Genesis team or billing stream lining our questions and concerns.

Inconvénients :

There is a lot of functionality in Genesis. We probably use a quarter of all the functions that comes with this system. The intake process has been a bit tough for us as we find patients have a tough time navigating and getting through it in a timely manner. There is a lot of processes going on at once so the transition from page to page is not as fast as I would like so we upped our computers to 16G of ram because 8 was not cutting it.

One of the few complete cloud based systems, but workflow was inefficient and system was buggy

Avantages :

Customization of notations and macros are one of the best features. Cloud based means no local server to maintain and you can update/access records from home, schedule patients at an event, etc... The communication between staff and with Genesis using the Tasks function is great if you can get everyone to understand how to use it.

Inconvénients :

Care plans did not write off discounted visits accurately so I was constantly having to audit ledgers and manually adjust write offs for prepay cash care plans. I eventually stopped using the automated system and just let Genesis bill visits at the retail rate and had my staff go in and manually adjust discounted visits. The notifications were either buggy or the training on how to use them was lacking as my staff would try to setup notifications on a specific date or visit number for the patient and the notification would pop early or even after it was cleared out it would continue to pop up. Patients eventually started to ignore when they were notified to see the front desk at checkin because they assumed it was an old message. The ability to organize x-ray images for quick access during a visit was initially not available, and then when they updated it to make it easier to organize them, it was still more work than it was worth. Lastly, support was great for the first 4-5 months and then it tanked fast. I would have calls not returned. I would ask direct questions regarding billing issues and they would get ignored. I'm not sure if there was some employee turnover that resulted in this change or what, but I stopped reaching out for help because the answers were rarely helpful or clear when they did respond.

Avantages :

Easy to use notes for our chiropractors, more doc and coding compliant with great customer service

Inconvénients :

when a note is complete and sent to claims I wish you could set clients to automate the statement to send to email. Or if not possible before claim, automate statement to email instead of PDF/print to save then having to go into email to send.

Outstanding how Genesis meets Billing Management Needs

Commentaires : Excellent. Very impressed with the immediate attention and support we have gotten from Genesis. Managing the clearinghouse issues was extremely time consuming with other software, but Genesis handles all of these issues with pretty much seamless interface.

Avantages :

The multitude of tools that help manage Billing.

Inconvénients :

Documentation limitations due to our combined Chiropractic and Neurological needs as a multi-specialty practice.

Avantages :

Customer service is quick to respond with challenges which is very important in today need it now world.

Inconvénients :

Once you develop you own systems it is easier to use. There is a lot of pieces I do not use making it a bit clunky to use

Commentaires : So far so good. We are still in the process of being trained.

Avantages :

I like that it has easy to implement macros. If you want something to be a one tap, it can be a one tap. Figure out what you want and then do it.

Inconvénients :

The trainers need more training on what they don't know. Especially the fee estimator.

Commentaires : Overall this is all you need in an EHR software, higher priced but you also get what you pay for here.

Avantages :

A lot of different reports. Easy to use. Different apps that integrate such as Fortis payments and Sked.

Inconvénients :

Higher price than other software. You have to use their billing service, which charges a percentage. Not as visually appealing as you hope for the price.

Avantages :

Very easy to manage multiple aspects of the clinic from scheduling, keeping patient on track with their visits and special appointments and best of all it makes billing the little insurance I do accept very easy and we collect more because of the team behind it!

Inconvénients :

Tooo many features? I feel I use 1% of them, and have little need to get into the others. Big fan of the old EHR soap note system with preloaded macros…and dislike the newer soap note creation software.

Commentaires : We have had our ups and downs. There are components of the system that need some help. We've spoken to customer support several times without help in some areas and great help in others. Overall though, this system is the best in the industry hands down.

Avantages :

The system is constantly making upgrades in all areas from SOAP notes to patient management! If I have an issue, customer service is usually on the phone with me within the day and definitely within 24 hours!

Inconvénients :

The patient accounting section could use some upgrades. It works, but we've seen other systems that are a step above.

Avantages :

Then ability to customize the product for the needs of our office was a huge feature.

Inconvénients :

The reports: they are clunky, cumbersome, and require too much user input rather than being driven from specific clinical endpoints for a well verse report comparing daily, weekly monthly, and yearly.

Most comprehensive EHR software - hands down.

Commentaires : One thing that sets Genesis EHR apart from other software is its constant improvement. The Genesis team is always making updates and adding new features to make the software even better. We have seen the software evolve over the past 6 years, and it continues to get better and better.Switching EHRs can be a pain, but we are glad we made the switch to Genesis. It has made running our practice much easier, and we could not be happier with the software. If you are looking for a robust EHR to help you manage your practice efficiently, I highly recommend Genesis. They truly dominate the chiropractic EHR space, and we are grateful for all they do.

Avantages :

As a successful chiropractor who has been using Genesis EHR for the past 6 years, I can confidently say that this software has been a game-changer for our practice. We are a large practice that deals with mostly cash and some PI cases, and we have used several major EHRs both server and cloud-based. Before making the switch to Genesis, we did several demonstrations for almost every EHR out there, but none had all the features we wanted or needed until we discovered Genesis.Genesis EHR has everything we need to run our busy practice efficiently. From managing our patients' treatment plans, booking appointments, generating detailed reports, to providing systems and automation, this software does it all. The documentation process is super fast, and the cloud-based software works seamlessly with our Macintosh computers and iPads. We have been impressed with the level of support provided by the Genesis team. They are always ready to assist us with any questions or concerns we may have.

Inconvénients :

Not the most intuitive but they are constantly improving functionality and user interface.

Avantages :

I like that we are able to set up tasks and assign them to different users and follow up/keep track of them. You can add quick stops. scheduling treatment plans are alot easier. Billing has been easy once you get the hang of it.

Inconvénients :

Every time you have to open a different tab you will most likely have to refresh the tab to make it look the correct way. If you are on a tab too long it will start acting up and you will have to refresh and pull up that certain patient again. The appt type are not grouped/linked for example if you have an appt with two diff things scheduled you will have to cancel both appt not just one. Quick stop don't pop up when you open the patient chart, so they can easily get missed.

Commentaires : I find it to really simplify so many steps in our office process, and being a high-volume Chiropractor I had to really reduce my procedures using great technology like this

Avantages :

The ease of use these documentation and the compliance element. The speed at which I can produce a high-quality documentation for the patient, easy to upload my x-rays so I can show a patient if I need to. This way my volume grow more easily; Where as i was plateaued before.

Inconvénients :

Some of the reports to be simplified, but I love the customization features.

Commentaires : Most of the time, we have little issue, and I navigate through things well. When I do, I feel that you are always there to help us out.

Avantages :

I love that we have all patient information in one location. Also, it integrates well with our posture analysis that we use, as well as the SKED texting that we use. I also really love the use of Fortis for our credit transaction and the ease of setting up auto pay. They have also updated to now make it easy to connect credit cards, etc to other accounts for billing purposes, and Genesis integrates well with that.

Inconvénients :

I wish that the care plan section was a little more user friendly and adaptable to the specifics of the individual offices using it. I wish that there was a section for us to log EOB information, as we do our insurance filing outside of Genesis. I cannot stand the way that "tasks" work. I do not like the fact that after I send it, I have no point of reference until someone responds back to me.

Commentaires : We are handling insurance claim rejections as they occur in real time and already seeing an increase in insurance collections by more than double.

Avantages :

Creating and loading useful macros for daily visits, exams, and special office visits, Immediate feedback on claim created, The workbench concept for myself and our team members is invaluable! Transperancy and accountability are much improved!

Inconvénients :

Ability to set a rule for billing non covered services such as cold laser. When a claim gets through to Blue Cross for cold laser, a request for records is triggered and increases work for our staff. Our multidisciplinary schedule calls for different types of treatments with different providers and each area the patient is scheduled into, creates a separate office visit for that patient. Difficult to choose the right one to work out of as a provider. Creates extra steps and double billings. Confusing...

Run away! Support is horrible

Commentaires : If they could fix their support I would love the software but it's not reasonable to offer software like this and not have support available. If you are choosing new software for your practice, please consider anything else.

Avantages :

Functionality is great. Love how scheduling, payments and billing are all integrated.

Inconvénients :

Their support is embarrassing. There is no telephone support. You can only make tickets that simply get lost in the abyss. I have been leaving messages and support tickets for almost 2 months trying to add another doctor to my system.
