Greater Giving is a great product for nonprofit auctions, has a smooth platform for auction guests, and as an easy ticketing system.

Commentaires : I will continue to use since it's what is most used but I truly hope they make improvement on the program in the months to come.

I think it's one of the most commonly used Fundraising platforms, so that would be it's plus side.
Inconvénients :
I truly don't like the back end of the greater giving, it's what drove me away for two years and it isn't very visually stimulating or pretty. I think many other platforms do a better job of this.
Not easy to use, but great customer support!
Commentaires : Overall, the company offers a product that can be very useful, but if you have a small fundraising team who doesn't design websites and have a lot of experience with backend website management, it is not the best unless you use it regularly and invest the time into learning it.
Avantages :
Greater Giving offers affordable options for fundraising event software, and makes it easy for event attendees to register and save their credit card information to make check-in process quicker. Their credit card swiper machines are excellent for check in and to square donations and purchases after the event without making supporters check out at the end of the event.
Inconvénients :
The event software is extremely hard to use, and not intuitive unless you have lots of website experience. For one example, if you add a logo for a sponsor to add to the event landing page, it doesn't say that it has to be specific format. A lot of guessing and calls to customer service. They do have tutorials, but several are outdated, so you waste time watching and realize you need to call customer support anyway.

I've been using Greater Giving for 10 years and have enjoyed using their auction software for ease of use and customer service.

I haven't really compared other platforms, to be honest. I feel like the online auction page and donation page could be designed a little nicer but otherwise I have no other feedback.
Greater Giving: Great software for event management
Commentaires : We use Greater Giving to manage our Marquee events (galas, golf, wine tasting, etc.) - events that usually have an auction component and the staff, volunteers and constituents love it. I've personally used Greater Giving software for the past eight years and have never worked with a software vendor that is more in tune with their customer's wants and needs. They actually ASK for ways they can improve the product and LISTEN! I've seen our suggestions appear in product updates repeatedly over the years and they never stop trying to improve their product. We began using their mobile bidding service over the past couple of years and the staff and patrons love it. Their Go Time event night software is so easy to use I barely have to train volunteers on event night - the software just walks them through the check-in/registration process and makes check out at the end of the night a breeze. As previous reviews mentioned, their website and reporting areas are a little more cumbersome to use, but I know that they are working on that too - we've already seen some great advances in reporting with the latest software release. Greater Giving software and event support is outstanding - they are only a phone call away anytime, but most importantly on the day of your event and a LIVE person answers the phone who knows the product and can fix your issues and get you back on track in no time! They are fantastic. I would highly recommend Greater Giving to any non- profit interested in experiencing a great event management tool. This is one fantastic organization!
Avantages :
Ease of use, outstanding customer support, mobile bidding option/component, auctioneer features for a professional live auction, leader boards, smooth check-in/check-out event process, ability to e-mail receipt to patrons at check out, volunteers absolutely love it! Patrons are very impressed at the flow of the event when we move the event management to Greater Giving.
Inconvénients :
Reporting is confusing and needs work and they need to make improvements in the backend website creation process but we are able to get the information out of the system that we need and we have great looking, easy to use websites.
Greater Giving - really does give!
Commentaires : Our development office has now been using Greater Giving for a little over 2 years, after doing some extensive research and choosing it as the BEST option. This has given us the opportunity to use it for many different events more than once and across different departments/colleges within the medical university. Because it is web based, there are no restrictions on number of users and you can lock/unlock per event we have used it with select "third party" events- where all proceeds benefit us but the event is run by a group of volunteers and not a formal organization. It helped us streamline some of our functions for all our various events. It has also given us an opportunity to try some peer to peer fundraising. Other departments have now begun using it and others are now attempting events because this platform is available. We've found the ease of use in training our volunteers and interns a plus. The fact that almost anyone can be trained to create a landing page for ticket sales, auctions and peer to peer campaigns is a huge advantage for our organization. Go Time (day of event) process is another favorite aspect of Greater Giving. Overall we have been so pleased with both the customer support- some of our suggestions have even been incorporated in 2 upgrades since we've been using it! And they've actually lowered instead of increased the cost on Mobile Bidding (you used to have to pay per mb event and now it's a once a year cost) Not only are more funds raised, Greater Giving give us back time as well!

Some of the features are difficult to use/not up to par- peer to peer fundraising for ex. Also the webpage/landing page building can be quite complicated and the tutorial isn't comprehensive enough. Same goes for the reports- we know that there are so many but the training just touches the surface.

Greater giving has an amazing customer service team that is supportive and clear to work with. Having all of our constituents filed over the years makes the process of opening a new event easy and seamless.
Inconvénients :
The flexibility of the software can be very clunky and not so user friendly. The household verse individuals is very confusing and has caused errors in the past.
Great tool for our annual GALA fundraiser
Commentaires : Overall, great experience. I have used Greater Giving for years and specifically, appreciate the customer service. Questions are answered in a timely fashion by knowledgeable representatives. This makes my job so much easier when we are in the throes of putting on a GALA! Thank you Greater Giving.
Avantages :
Very helpful that we can go back to this product each year - our database is maintained. Our employees are trained on the product and able to pick it up quickly or train new volunteers.
Inconvénients :
The sales/payment reporting function is cumbersome. Wish the details were itemized on the emailed statement rather than having to log in and pull reports.

Commentaires : Overall great. There are occasional glitches but their customer support team is outstanding.

The auction and check in portion of the software are the most valuable. Allowing early and self check in for participants at events is fantastic and helpful.

Transform your Auction experience!
Commentaires : Our school has benefited tremendously by using the Event Software and Mobile Bidding. In a few weeks we will be using both for the third time at our next Auction fundraiser. After the first year, we not only paid for the software and mobile bidding BUT increased our silent auction profit by $10,000! The program is very easy to use, streamlines all of our donations, and allows us to perform quick reviews post-event. Customer service has been exceptional. Several calls are set up with the Greater Giving team prior to the event and a team member is available during the entire duration of the event. All questions have been answered quickly. The Greater Giving team continues to give suggestions each year as to what we can try at our next event to help increase our profit. And both years the software has been updated with new features. Biggest benefit for our school has been the elimination of long checkout lines at the end of the night. With Mobile Bidding, guests having registered a credit card either before the event or during check-in are instantly notified of their winnings as soon as the Silent Auction closes. Priceless! We continue, a few years into our experience, to get great reviews from our attendees about the significant improvements that this package has made to our annual funraiser.

Integration of Greater Giving was very user friendly and met all our needs.
Inconvénients :
The only draw back is when a donor donates more than one of an item for an auction and it will be placed in multiple packages. I have to enter multiple items. You can’t copy and use separately.
Really nice program but not in our budget
Commentaires : I like Greater Giving. It is a very good program. It's just the cost priced us out because we are such a small organization it makes a significant difference to our net fundraising.
Avantages :
I like that is it an all-in-one program, so don't have to cobble together multiple programs. Everything we need is included in Greater Giving. I have helped with fundraising events for multiple organizations that used Greater Giving and I found it intuitive and easy to use.
Inconvénients :
The cost. I checked it out during 2020 to use for an online/virtual auction and found the pricing had dramatically changed from the last time I used it. We tried another program recommended by an event planner. The next year I again checked several software programs and discovered one that did about the same thing (at least everything we needed ) for dramatically less cost. We are a very small non-profit, so for us, that is a deal breaker. We would rather have a not-so-robust program and work with it than pay more for a program. Turned out the one we used was absolutely fine and we made a lot of money. So much that a lot of other clubs contacted me to ask which program we used.
After extensive research very happy
Avantages :
Greater Giving is an evolving company and continues to improve their product. It is extensive having many features, reports and different ways of going about getting things done. They are PCI compliant which takes away worry about security and adds value to your overall event. Whether you are a small shop or large, any nonprofit can use it with a little bit of training, some practice and time. It is cost effective and adds value to our events. It is amazing that anyone from volunteer to staff can reach out to tech support. I like that it is web based and that you can have multiple events simultaneously. Also the capability to have different permissions for each user including multiple account admin helps s multi department development team like ours. Relatively speaking the mobile bidding works easily.
Inconvénients :
The "join me"feature is still new and we haven't been able to master it's use yet. The website capability is great but requires a little extra training. However the tech support is excellent with an almost 12 hour a day call hour. If the tech can't answer the question they get back to you. Most often though they will walk you through a step.
Nightmare to use on the backend
Commentaires : I can't wait to get rid of this software. It looks good on paper until you use it. We couldn't make heads or tails of the reports. Designing the website pages were challenging (and I'm a website designer). Not intuitive. Inflexible. Want to had a field? Forget it. Want to add instructions or a different title to a field? Forget it. At the bottom of your website will be an ugly black bar with the Greater Giving logo - and you can't get rid of it. I've ask them to change it from a black bar to transparency or white, no luck.

Like it for Galas
Commentaires : Greater Giving really helped us to track our auction donations and number them, to track our bidders and assign them a number for bidding for Fund the Need and kept everything in one easy place for reporting. We were then able to export the data into our donor software. It simplified our process for the auction, quite simply.
Avantages :
We have used this software for our gala for many years. I inherited it and began using it and found the transition to be pretty smooth. I really like it for assigning bidders to tables and to individuals and for tracking auction donations and values.
Inconvénients :
My least favorite thing was the lack of online bidding software but I believe they now have that too. We are not doing our gala anymore so we were unable to try that feature.
Functional Mid-Range Difficulty in Use
Commentaires : Customer service is top notch. My questions are always answered very quickly and there is always someone willing to walk me through what I'm doing. The team is wonderful over there.
Avantages :
It can do a LOT. You can do events in person, virtually, run raffles, sell tickets, etc etc etc. It covers the gamut of fundraising activities.
Inconvénients :
It is not super easy to use. Perhaps because it is capable of doing so many things that is why, but it requires more than a few calls and trainings and help manuals to figure out what you need to do in order to get what you want to happen.

I love Greater Giving's support team! They are always ready to help, answer questions, and walk through a feature I didn't know about.
Inconvénients :
I don't have anything I don't like about Greater Giving. Perhaps one thing - I wish they would provide image size examples when setting us the website and online bidding page.
I'm a Greater Giving Fan
Commentaires : We have used Greater Giving for several years to manage our online giving pages and our school's fundraising event. This year, we added the mobile bidding component. This was the second time we've used mobile bidding, the first with a different company. I was looking for a product to easily manage all the auction and mobile bidding steps myself. This produce was so easy to use. The customoer support throughout the event was wonderful, often responding the same day when contacted, always by the end of the next business day. We are most likely planning to use mobile bidding again at our event in 2017, and I am already considering ways to use what I learned at the last event to make this one even easier, all using the things I learned through using Greater Giving. We are a happy user. Thank you. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to increase revenue at an event and enhance the experiences of the attendees
Greater Giving great customer service

Customer service was incredible. I loved being able to create a fundraising page for each new campaign.

I can't say anything negative about this program. Every encounter I had with customer service went above and beyond!
GG Event Software great for small and mid-sized organizations
Commentaires : The product suite includes all of the basic tools/features you would want in this type of product. The online payments web tools are also good, but somewhat limited. Users with substantial html skills can get a lot more out of it, but non-technical users may find the tools difficult to navigate. The fact that the web-tools allow us to build entire websites (not just registration, donations, and sales) adds tremendous value. For a small to mid-sized organization that needs a full suite of tools to handle this arm of their business, it's a great option and I recommend the product. My organization is a PTA and the data structure for managing "Households" (individual parents, children, etc) is clunky and difficult to integrate with other systems data. That said, whenever we've had issues or questions, the GG support team has been great! All in all, a great value.

Good, but not for us
Commentaires : It made us realize that we needed another product. I know this sounds harsh but it was not a match, we needed something simpler moving forward.
Avantages :
Very detailed in nature, this is great for a larger company that has the capacity to look through everything and be incredibly detailed. There are many features we did not use.
Inconvénients :
Because it was so detailed, I would get frustrated at times. In my brain, having to activate one switch on a completely different page and category was difficult for me to understand.

Commentaires : We have had success with the Greatergiving event software for the past few years. Each year improvements are made and functionality is added. We have received excellent customer service starting with our sales rep, to the event rep and finally the help desk.

There is a great deal of options and functionality so there is a learning curve to make the most of the features.
