Great Product... will grow with your church - Used at a previous church and just got for new church

Avantages :

If you are a small church that needs a good online database that doesn't break the bank, this is it. There are numerous features that you can choose what fits your particular ministry and have everything in one area... instead of needing 4-5 different programs to do it all. One of the best things is that you can add more and more names and then simply pay to upgrade to the next level as your church grows, so you don't have to waste money for a database of 1,000 if you only have 70 in your church currently! But (hopefully) as your church grows, you will have the finances to have the program expand with you. I also enjoy ChurchTrac as a pastor, because I can log in on my phone or iPad from wherever I am making a visit to add notes about the visit. We have also added multiple volunteers users who want to help make visits, send cards, make phone calls, etc who can add notes when they do so; there are great restriction capabilities available, so I can allow volunteers access to these note areas without allowing them access to giving records or more confidential pastoral counseling notes. We have also integrated this into our children's ministry/nursery area and purchased a Dymo label printer to give each child a name badge upon check in with emergency phone numbers and allergy warnings. Finally, the congregation access is awesome, so everyone can update their own information or get their own giving records whenever they would like to check!

Inconvénients :

A few of the reporting features are somewhat limited and not able to be as customized as I would like, but this is such a minor issue compared to all the Pros that it's hardly worth mentioning... but it was a required field so I had to come up with something. I did have an issue when I wanted to add more volunteer users, but it was fixed within an hour of opening the ticket due to their AMAZING customer service!

The best church management system out there!

Commentaires : This has been the best product we've found for church management systems. We've used it for several years. It's incredibly efficient, cost and time-saving. Their customer support is amazing and their tech support has been some of the best we've ever experienced. We've recommended this system to numerous sister churches because it's such a great, cost-effective system designed for churches.

Avantages :

We love the ease of use and the intuitiveness of this system. It's overall design is perfect for churches - small churches in particular. The integration between giving and accounting is exceptional and has reduced the amount of time needed for accounting entries by our volunteer church treasurer. The communication system is awesome. But, best of all is the price - this is by far the best and most cost-effective product out there in church management systems.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it can be a little clunky, mostly little inconveniences that are outweighed by the benefits of this system.

i feel information would be helpful, it i could pull it easily and print.
I don't like not being able to speak with someone or at lease have them look a my information.

Avantages :

I can pull and print reports of the information I put in.

Inconvénients :

I liked the previous package better -- it was user friendly. This package is not easily walked thru to pull reports and input the information as the previous package. Someone has changed my login and password - there is not a way to speak with anyone for help! The steps provided did not work. I have been locked out all week and now starting another week. I am disgusted!

Makes this pastor's job so much easier!

Avantages :

I love the affordability and the ease of use! It is packed with features that make it an incredible value. We are a small church that averages 40-50 in attendance and as the pastor, using ChurchTrac for keeping up with everything from the member roll, attendance, contributions, accounting, text announcements, worship planning, and integrated website option, it’s like having a secretary to help keep up with all the vital church info!

Inconvénients :

I don’t really have a con, honestly. Only thing I would say is a con is that I would like to pull up an attendance report for an individual for the whole year instead of the whole church for the past 26 weeks. ChurchTrac may be able to do it and I just haven’t figured it out yet! LOL

The Answer to a Ministry Assistant's Prayers!

Commentaires : I simply can't say enough great things about Church Trac. The customer service is fantastic, the ease of user use is so nice for someone that doesn't really have any coding experience - it's all very simple to use. And as upgrades come out they always make the system better.

Avantages :

The ease in which I can do all the things my church needed. From people managements to accounting, worship scheduling, online giving, a church website, and attendence check-in. It's all included for a very low cost to the church. And the fact it is so user friendly in all modules!

Inconvénients :

While there may be a few small items missing or I don't like, the developers are always doing upgrades to make the entire program better and if you submit ideas they really do take the time to look at that and see if that is possible.

Commentaires : I would recommend this to others. Our church was still doing this by hand then I started using an Excell spreadsheet and that left room for so many errors.

Avantages :

Not only is ChurchTrac user friendly for an individual with no finance or business background, but the support and response time is phenomenal.

Inconvénients :

I do wish it could pull transactions from the banking accounts.

ChurchTrac does it all!

Avantages :

We have only been using ChurchTrac for 3 months but it has replaced an old, outdated system that was no longer functional. ChurchTrac was easy to update and we were able to go back to January 2024 to get our books on track. ChurchTrac offers a wide variety of reports that satisfy all of our financial management needs. ChurchTrac is fantastic!

Inconvénients :

So far, there hasn't been anything we didn't like about ChurchTrac.

Commentaires : My experience has been really good. They are very pleasant to work with. They get back to you in a timely manner. And answer all questions I had.

Avantages :

I think it’s very easy to navigate. I like how it gives you the option for English or Spanish which is great because our church is Spanish.

Inconvénients :

I’m not sure there is nothing I don’t like from church trac.

Avantages :

It is a comprehensive program for managing my church. It is easy to use. Whenever I have had question or problem, the customer service team has been very helpful and responsive.

Inconvénients :

I really haven't had any issues or problems that have caused me any headaches!

Great Church Management System Option

Commentaires : ChurchTrac has and continues to be capable of everything we needed and most of what we want. ChurchTrac's navigation is fairly straightforward, which is great, and their support posts tend to be helpful for everything that's not straightforward. ChurchTrac is capable of more than what we are using it for - which equates to some good goals for us to move towards things we COULD be doing. Customer service has been efficient when it is needed as well.

Avantages :

-Compared to what we were using, ChurchTrac is much easier to use! -The ease of getting new users familiar with the basics -Ability to personalize quite a few reports and exports for multiple uses -Overall ability to edit and find information -Customer support is rather efficient and helpful

Inconvénients :

-Some things really need some digging to find, but they can be found -Some personalizing would/has require an outside coding expert, but that is to be expected with what ChurchTrac is (want to make it so your child check-in is fool proof? you might need a coding expert) -Wish it integrated MORE with services like MailChimp (more than exporting to MailChimp), but ChurchTrac is transparent in what it does. This isn't unexpected.

New improvements are AMAZING!

Avantages :

ChurchTrac recently started to automatically import online giving from Stripe to my register on the day the donation was given, plus shows the date in my register when the payment clears the bank. Oh, and the Stripe fees are shown as well with each transaction. This will save me so much time and reduce my own errors. Plus reconciliation of my accounts is so easy. It has cut down my time that I spent on month end procedures. The online help topics, online webinars and videos are very helpful. I must say, too, how wonderful the support people are! I'm doing this job for my church with a very limited financial/accounting background. Whenever I had a question, they answer quickly and continue to help me until I get my issue resolved.

Inconvénients :

I had used the free ChurchTrac 9 program (about 2 years) and thought it would be an easy switch to the online version. However, I was thrown for a loop because I was also learning the online giving parts/pieces in addition to the newer software. Some things were not intuitive for me, but it could be that I was overwhelmed in trying to get everything underway in a short time, plus finance/accounting is not second nature for me. Now that I'm three months in, I'm starting to understand it better. Some of the reports could be improved. It would be nice to have the budget analysis report a bit larger for readability.

Best church management tool for the price!

Avantages :

I would say that the thing that I like the most about ChurchTrac are the videos on YouTube that are provided for training.

Inconvénients :

I would like there to be an option to provide a separate way for people to donate through text without having to be registered.

Church Trac after years of use.

Commentaires : Our biggest experience is with the Contributions. It is easy to track contributions and the year-end reports are easy and readable.

Avantages :

The thing I liked about the software is how easy it was to operate the program. We used a leading accounting package and Church Trac far exceeded our expectations.

Inconvénients :

The thing I liked the least is not being able to make changes to the members to cut down on the number of fields that you have to operate through. Some businesses like ours don't really need all of the church information.

Top Notch

Commentaires : Super, wonderful, excellent...can't say enough good things about it. The support is wonderful.

Avantages :

Easy to use; very intuitive. You are able to customize the categories and add tags , notes, etc. to your specific needs. Absolutely love the smart list and ability to create attendance reports for meetings, gatherings and events of all sizes.

Inconvénients :

When first learning about ChurchTrac it would have been helpful to have more videos available. The library is gradually building, but could have made initial use easier.

Great platform, especially for smaller churches

Commentaires : We can keep track of membership, finances, worship, and many other routine things we need in one place, and we can have access to it from anywhere.

Avantages :

It does what we need without giving us things that we don't that increase its cost. And it does it in an easy to use way so that others can come on board with it easily.

Inconvénients :

We're still learning all the ins and outs of the accounting piece, and the reconciliation process could be easier if we didn't have to try reconciling all the way from the beginning but could go on a month by month with our bank statements.

Church Employee User Friendly!

We Love ChurchTrac

Commentaires : I'm the pastor of a small church and needed help with the administration, accounting and budget work. I obviously wanted to go with a software based option. A "Google" search revealed ChurchTrac and it appeared to be a good price. It was certainly competitively priced. ChurchTrac was been an amazing tool for our church. It provides our church with everything we need and even more. There are a lot of features we hope to use as we grow. Accounting and budgeting related work is easily tracked. At any moment I can report in detail to the congregation on these matters. ChurchTrac is so user-friendly, but they also offer helpful technical support if needed.

Avantages :

We really love the accounting and budget features in ChurchTrac. I began using ChurchTrac specifically for this function, but soon realized it was also a great way to track people and attendance. It's difficult to say what I like most, but I do love the new Church Connect feature. Basically our church has an app now. Members can login and update their own information. It might seem like a small thing, but I'm excited about the fact that members can login and see their own giving. They can literally download the giving report weI generate for tax purposes. We are loving the new features. Oh, and "bulk emailing" options. We definitely hope to use this function more.

Inconvénients :

ChurchTrac continues to improve and evolve so we haven't used every feature yet. Honestly, I really can't think of anything we don't like. Of course, I don't really have much experience with other products for a comparison. The church was using "Churchsoft" before I became the pastor and I found it very difficult to use. ChurchTrac seems so simple and we love it.

A review worth the read, a product worth the price

Avantages :

Churchtrac allows my team to access the database at anytime to make needed changes. These changes range from financial account management, to printing reports that allow transparency and a checks and balances, and database management on the people. One feature that I found to be a hidden gem is church connect. If your church is considering on making a switch, this feature is a game changer. It provides the look of an app! The cards in this feature provide flawless navigation and event registration for any and all upcoming events your church or organization may hold.

Inconvénients :

Churchtrac possibly could have this feature and as I write this, I most likely will discover it soon in the software. The easiest way to explain is pointing you to what this feature would look like. One feature that I would love to see is a reporting feature like church metrics provided. It provides graphics and charts of weekly attendance.

Best Church Management Tool

Commentaires : All I can say is that you will not go wrong switching to ChurchTrac for your church. If I ever have a question, it is answered so quickly that it doesn't really seem like an issue because it is resolved so fast.

Avantages :

This is so user friendly that it does not take any time to learn it and get started. Also, the support time is the BEST I have ever experienced for a software product. We began using this product several years ago and it was not web based then but it was still so easy to transition our info over.

Inconvénients :

Oh my. I can honestly say that I can't think of anything I don't like. If I had to list anything, it might be that I have heard the Finance folks say they would like to see some things added/tweaked and I have encouraged them to contact Support to work with them. I have also encourage them to join the FB group as well as it is another great tool for using the product.

ChurchTrac Online - good value for money, not perfect but does most of what you need to do

Commentaires : We switched to this software from PowerChurch, which is old and outdated. The difference was huge. Compared to outdated software like that, this software is very easy and enjoyable to work with. However, I also tried out Breeze, which is significantly better than ChurchTrac from what I could see. Their pricing is a flat rate, however, so for a small church like ours ChurchTrac provided more value.

Avantages :

1) Very easy to use 2) A good amount of functionality 3) Above all, the price is better than other online options I found 4) Mobile website works quite well - the online functionality is a big plus for any church who is not already using an online database

Inconvénients :

I have not had the best experience with their support people. Getting our database integrated into ChurchTrac was a bit of a hassle, it took us a while to do as we are a smaller church without a ton of staff resources to dedicate to this. We were constantly losing access to the database because our free trial had ended and it was time to pay for a software that we weren't even sure we would use. They did always extend our trial but it was a hassle and I felt like we were under the gun for taking so long. The biggest thing was that at one point the support person made a significant mistake in what she communicated to me, and rather than apologizing for that mistake, she told me it would cost our church a fee to re-import the database. Eventually that charge was waived, but there was never any admission of that mistake or apology at all. The software is also not very customizable for some features. In order to print tax receipts that look official and properly formatted, our accountant is having to download csv files and merge them together in Word. Similarly the calendar isn't very usable, because you can't sync it with your mobile calendar app. To use the calendar on mobile you'd have to log in to the mobile website, which is a lot of extra steps for a common task. Instead we are using google calendars so that we can sync all of our calendars together and use our mobile calendar apps, and then we are syncing those calendars one way with the church trac calendar, and then printing it from Microsoft Outlook, cause that's the only software that seems capable of printing a readable calendar. This all took a lot of time to set up. But now it is working very nicely. There should be a mobile app. I'm not usually one to use apps for something that can be done in a browser, but it would be nice to not have to constantly log in on your phone. An app could just stay logged in so that access is much quicker. I'm not sure if other database software like Breeze offers this option though.

Church Management Simplified

Commentaires : ChurchTrac has been a life saver for our church. We had been struggling with our previous (now out of business) software and it reached the point where our secretary was ready to quit. We switched to ChurchTrac and with the ease of implementation we gained total control over our information and found out exactly what was going on at our church. That was probably about 10 years ago and I can say our church secretary is still with us and is a strong supporter of ChurchTrac. We are a small church, but I had recommended ChurchTrac to a large church about a year ago and they also love it. I will also say that the support we receive has been outstanding in that it is accurate and fast.

Avantages :

The accounting portion is extremely powerful. All the other features work well, and it doesn't take much to time if any to use those features. In addition, its simplicity means you do not have to hire highly trained personnel to run the system. And, as an added plus it doesn't take hours each week to use thus saving your church labor costs.

Inconvénients :

Can't think of a single one but the developers are constantly finding ways to improve the system.

Commentaires : I have learned alot about the program that I never would have any situations with in Quicken. At my age it is a real challenge.

Avantages :

The donations has worked well. The sending statements by email is great. Wish we could get all to do that. Haven't had a problem with the donations at all.

Inconvénients :

I am just getting started on the accounting. It has been a challenge for me. I used Quicken before and transferred my work to an Excel spreadsheet. I am trying to get familiar with the program to be able to give the board a monthly report that they will understand.

It’s great that all of the different aspects of churchtrac integrate with each other and help each other. And the price for everything they do is incredible!

Inconvénients :

It would be nice if the transactions could auto link to the software, but it’s not difficult to import and reconcile transactions.

Being located in Canada, not everything is available to us, that others can take advantage of. That being said, it is still the best Church Management/ Fund Accounting program out there!
