Commentaires : Après un début un peu laborieux, Epic est devenu mon outil de travail quotidien. Je ne pourrais plus m'en passer !

Avantages :

Tout est centralisé, du dossier patient aux prescriptions. Le suivi des soins est facilité, et on gagne un temps précieux.

Inconvénients :

La prise en main demande un peu d'effort, mais ça vaut le coup !

Commentaires : With EpicCare, clinics can streamline their workflows using personalized screens, dashboards and specialty applications. The application's finance module allows clinics to track payments, bills and invoices. EpicCare is a mobile-ready solution, allowing both doctors and patients to access information on their Apple devices.

Avantages :

I love patient portal and e-prescribing features which helps us meet the Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements. The tool also supports telemedicine options that allow our doctors to communicate with patients via a video platform and offers mobile and tablet functionality. EpicCare MyChart allows patients to view medical information, message doctors, schedule appointments and manage medical history via a personalized portal.

Inconvénients :

The health maintenance options could be better, and easier to see and mark as complete. Also out would be easier if when you marked something got a preference it wouldn't add a copy to the main menu. Upgrade to EPIC 2017 is a fight.

Great for Hipaa Compliance

Commentaires : Great for huge corporations, wouldnt recommend for small practices.

Avantages :

Epic offers a a huge variety of services.

Inconvénients :

You have to have the latest up to date computers and wifi or you will have to consistently reset the pc

I like how everything is so condensed. But at the same time you still have everything that you need. When something goes wrong it seems like they jump straight on the problem.

Inconvénients :

It’s soooo slow sometimes. I feel like it crashes when everyone is on at one time.

Health Grid

Commentaires : I have been using EPIC for the past 6 years. Without EPIC I would not be able to do my job effectively.

Avantages :

You can do a deep dive of someone's medical history and see the bigger picture of what might be going on with someone's health by reviewing provider documentations and collaborating with the care team.

Inconvénients :

There are so many things in EPIC that I am unfamiliar with because I only use certain features. It's not always easy to find things if you don't use them all the time.

Virtually no room for human error with billing and coding.

Commentaires : I self-taught with Epic. It's very user friendly.

Avantages :

Epic makes it impossible to miss anything during the charge capture phase. There are fewer denials from payers/insurance companies and greater accuracy in capturing charges.

Inconvénients :

I have nothing negative to say about epic care. I have had no need to use customer service so I'm unable to review that area.

Commentaires : EPIC is such a great EMR system to use. I am using it everyday for my job, and it's been a great experience this last month

How easy it is to work. I started using EPIC a month ago, and was able to pick up on it very fast.

User-friendly Service

Avantages :

EpicCare is easy to navigate and is visually appealing. The simplicity in its design makes it very user-friendly and provides efficiency.

Inconvénients :

I do not particularly like that there is no user guide to show all the features EpicCare offers. I am aware that EpicCare has numerous tools and resources that can especially be useful in my role as a Research Coordinator. It is difficult finding those tools and learning how to best use them without guidance.

Epic and Epic Rover Review

Commentaires : My overall experience has been very good! I really enjoy using epic and have not really had any major problems with it! Any hiccups in the system can be handled by IT very quickly!

Avantages :

I really like the mobility of using the app. I would like to see the river system improved upon and expanded! Home health is a very large and important aspect of healthcare today, and a lot of clinicians are out in the field and need access to epic!

Inconvénients :

Sometimes I find that using epic on the computer in the office is daunting because of the many pages you have to search through!

I like the versatility of Epic and how many feature it has. I used it daily while working at the hospital and it was easy to navigate.

It felt a bit analog and outdated when I used it, but it was still functional.

Avantages :

Epic's main benefit is the large number of health systems that use it, which makes cross-communication possible. Epic does limit this by making it's product modular, which limits different institutions' ability to communicate. The only benefit to Epic is it's size and number of health systems that use it - so if you work at Hospital X, and move to Hospital Y, the chances that they also use Epic are higher than another software.

Inconvénients :

This is not a "patient care" software by design. It is a billing software first and foremost. Instead of starting the software from scratch in the 2000's once it was appearent that EMR's were the wave of the future, they simply piggy-backed what they could (most pop-ups and messages are done by what was originally meant to be error messages for bills). From a patient care stand-point, it is terrible at best. Epic's goal is to cater to administrators, who ultimately choose which EMR options to buy. The latest updates and changes have made for a "cleaner" look while hiding most buttons and options under tabs, making finding different options more difficult. There is a learning curve, but as anyone who has used iOS knows, the interface could be exponentially better. Epic is reminiscent of the 1990's Microsoft Office products that came with every computer and the masses were forced to use it, even though it was subpar by 1990's standards. Epic's philosophy (while under [sensitive content hidden]) is that Epic can do no wrong. While this company is under [sensitive content hidden] (the [sensitive content hidden] of EMR), it will not get better. We need a [sensitive content hidden] of EMR - until then, patients and providers alike must suffer.

Has made my job easier

Commentaires : I would definitely recommend this to anyone who I know needs help in the patient setup/service in the medical field. It’s also a huge help in the revenue cycle as well.

Avantages :

The one tab-click solutions. There isn’t a need to search around this software.

Inconvénients :

The billing portion took a while to get used to.

EPIC EMR User friend medical records system

Commentaires : In general epicure EMR patient health information medical record system is a great tool to integrate into large hospital systems. Especially for streamlined and easy to use integration of an medical record system. In addition because it has been used broadly by many large healthcare systems many people are trained on how to use epic and in addition they are able to translate their knowledge of other electronic medical record systems to the use of EpicCare system

Avantages :

In general some of the pros about the software is that it is very easy to use and it is very accessible from anywhere as long as you have an account. In addition allows you to access your patients medical records from a secure browser and system from remote locations. In addition it’s very easy to explore specific patient information as needed for data purposes.

Inconvénients :

The things that I like least about the software are that you do have to go through extensive training to be permitted to utilize the system. Although I do understand from the perspective of integration of patient health information it’s very important that users are knowledgeable on how to properly use the system.

The industry leader for reliable Electronic Medical Record

Commentaires : Electronic Medical Record is the core of a health care system. Epic is the cream of the crop. It is *not* just another application. It can displace/replace many of your other applications, so we saw dozens of IT people move away from applications and systems that were replaced and into Epic roles. If your organization devotes the time and resources to it, you are nearly guaranteed success. At a price $$$, of course. From an end-user perspective, it takes a while for clinicians to get used to it. For example, in Epic there may be many more steps for a given procedure as compared to another EMR, but those steps are there to make sure that the application is bullet-proof, and users get used to it and appreciate it after a short time.

Avantages :

Epic, the company, makes sure that your implementation succeeds, stays stable and reliable, and performs fast. They (Epic) constantly monitor performance, DR/BC availability, and uptime and tell you *exactly* how you should configure your environment. Your are absolutely not on your own with Epic.

Inconvénients :

The flip side to the Epic company being so involved in your setup and operation is that it takes a lot of internal employees to make it happen Epic's prescribed way, and there is a lot of internal employee involvement in setup, testing, and ongoing maintenance. In other words, Epic requires a lot of TLC, but it is extremely stable and reliable.

Great EMR

Avantages :

It’s it’s the standard of electronic medical records. It’s super user friendly and very easy to navigate and makes your work life much more efficient.

Inconvénients :

That it is a little on the pricey side when it comes to private practice.

Epic - Great idea, terrible in practice

Commentaires : Difficult and frustrating, as it delays care and charting when it goes down or causes issues due to lack of adjustment that can be done to expand on info or change info

Avantages :

Useful due to the amount of shared info between hospitals systems and doctors, Makes consistent treatment easier and more accurate

Inconvénients :

Too many tabs, too many drop down boxes and limitations to what can be documented, constantly freezing, going down or causing errors
