Avantages :

Setting up Pm's was a nice change from using Outlook calendar. Work request made it easier for staff to tell me about broken equipment.

Inconvénients :

The limited options for the tech accounts provide me with extra work editing their times.

Commentaires : Uptime !! Real time maintenance requests. Mobile apps and the ability to track labor and costs. Not to mention spare parts and inventory. Our production folks can't believe the response team from maintenance! Let me know what maintenance people are doing without having to ask. I love being able to assign them work no matter where the are.. I do recommend buying tablets for them... I use $120 tablets. One or two hours of uptime pays for those quickly !

Avantages :

This software is truly the answer to maintenance and PM programs. Every machining and manufacturing plant in America should use this. If you have 5 or 5000 pieces of equipment, facility, or anything needing maintenance this should be your software. I have had to use ERP maintenance add ons that never allowed real TPM quality support. This software is designed SPECIFICALLY for maintenance. It is easy to use and learn. It pays for itself in the first 3 months. I have implemented this software 3 times. I am not paid by them, but I would recommend them to any company. I have been in Manufacturing for just over 30 years, and this is the best software for this I have seen! IT works !

Inconvénients :

I would like an add on that lets operators enter simple daily PM's and simple checks that can be tailored for each asset.

Commentaires : I enjoy using Asset Essentials. Have not had a bad experience with the program or Customer Support since we became users.

Avantages :

Setup was easy with a little leg work, especially adding assets and equipment, BUT putting that work in on the front end saves you a lot of time in the field, ie. if you need a pump serial and model numbers, you could just grab it from AE. I like how you can customize reporting. I also like that you can update work orders with parts on order info or scheduling info, and the submitter gets an email of the update. Great feature.

Inconvénients :

Asked all of my staff, and no one had any response for this question.

Love asset essential

Commentaires : We benefit from the overall idea of the entity. It helps organize our day. It gives us uniform structure for customers to request work.

Avantages :

The ability to see my work an know my work will in the field. I love haveing my assignments at my fingertips. The mobile app is a life saver. I wish it notified you better with new work orders.

Inconvénients :

It lags alot. The notification feature is terrible. My boss can send me a high priority work order an I won't see it or hear a notification for it for hours after it has been sent sometimes a whole day. And the work order has generated it just doesn't notify. So I could be in the same building but won't even know he just sent a critical work order until I open the app.

Well worth the time & money investment

Commentaires : Our overall experience with Asset Essentials has been wonderful. The team at Brightly has always been helpful when I've called with a question, or needed help with a feature. They've never left us hanging!

Avantages :

Asset Essentials has revolutionized how we track maintenance in our facility. It has made record keeping and KPI tracking in our facility so much easier.

Inconvénients :

The mobile app has been a consistent pain point with Asset Essentials since we implemented in 2020. Our users have had zero issues or complaints about the website, but we have had constant reports of the mobile app not working. I wish there was a proper mobile website for Asset Essentials for us to send our team to when the app isn't working

This One is Easy

Commentaires : Coming from a background of "manual" everything for many years, I had some reservations about the level of difficulty and effort required to switch to a CMMS system. I set a fairly aggressive goal of 90 days to make the transition from the existing manual system to AE. Thanks to the incredible software and the excellent training/support I received during the transition, it was FAR less stressful than I anticipated and we launched a full 3 weeks earlier than scheduled.
Eighteen months later, we are still receiving the same great support and are continuing to expand the use of the software to drive improvement in the Maintenance Department

Avantages :

The Asset Essentials Team did an incredible job employing "ease-of-use" across all functions of the software. Each and every function is quick to learn, simple to use, and provides powerful results.

Inconvénients :

It would be fantastic if there were push notifications for New Requests.

great software, still needs tweaked

Commentaires : it's good overall, wish we could minimize the tech's frustration with the app.

Avantages :

it is very easy to use, you can fix mistake relatively easy. when it works correctly, the mobile app is great.

Inconvénients :

we have had several issues with the app, not sure if it is all the app's fault or our wifi. Dude Solutions seems to be constantly updating something and that usually effects us downstream. the issue that is most common, the app will "refresh" while the tech is inputting data and erase, making them start over.

Making my job a lot easier...

Commentaires : Overall it was a good experience. My main issues that I ran up against were not the fault of my team or Asset Essentials.

Avantages :

When I first started with my current employer we utilized EPaC. I was not satisfied with the software especially at the price were paying. After being notified of a price increase I was spurred on to find a replacement. As luck would have it we had acquired on of our competitors. They had been looking at Asset Essentials. I was contacted by [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and he gave me his sales pitch. Long story short - we have more functionality, a much more intuitive interface, customer service that actually answers questions and a roll-over process that was nearly painless for less than half of what we had been paying before the cost increase.

Inconvénients :

My only complaint would be the hierarchy of some of the items is unclear. I am very much a visual person. I chart would have helped a great deal.

Commentaires : We used a paper system before and it was difficult to track recurring issues. I feel this will greatly improve the longer we use the system.

Avantages :

Ease of use and customizable without added costs. Implementation team was great and very responsive.

Inconvénients :

The general requester user is nice as you can have unlimited users, but staff needs to have an email to do this. We had to setup a dummy email account to set this up so anyone can submit a request. I might be nice to have a URL that can be setup instead of needing an email.

Asset Essentials has helped for tracking project requests across many maintenance categories

Commentaires : [sensitive content hidden] from Asset Essentials was patient and sat with us through several implementation meetings and trainings. She was knowledgeable and able to help us out tremendously.

Avantages :

A big advantage over before when work orders were in Maximo and facility project requests were not is that the system has greater transparency and is more modern and streamlined. We are going to be able to provide end users with automated updates so they know when action has been taken on their requests. This will be a time savings and prevent the need for as many manual emails. I really like that we can attach all sorts of documents like pdfs and photo files to the requests.

Inconvénients :

A drawback to our transition was that it was not without issues to take our large school system and large maintenance and operations team through the change to begin using Asset Essentials due to the complexities. Even though planning was well thought out we did have a delayed roll out and we did experience additional delays with user training. It would also be helpful to be able to attach smaller video files to requests.

Asset Essentials great for schools

Commentaires : It's a great program with the proper training.

Avantages :

I love the work order process. Owners see what is done, when its done, etc.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it's a little wonky. The filtering/sorting can be hard to figure out.

Great value and pretty full featured

Avantages :

This CMMS is fairly easy to learn and to use. I like that it has a "requester" function so rank-and-file employees can enter requests for work/service. Setup is pretty intuitive, though some choices need to be thought out thoroughly. We use it for maintenance and sanitation, both of which are a big deal for us as we fall under food safety protocols (we are a food service distributor). The import function is especially useful during setup. It's nice that you can attach photos/documents to assets.

Inconvénients :

I wish it supported handheld units with integrated barcode scanning (like the Zebra TC70). Work order generation from PMs works well but it defaults all work orders to be due at midnight. We have to show that work orders are due at particular times of day (shifts). It would also be nice to have a "true" inspection program. Take fire extinguishers. It would be nice if you could walk through the warehouse, scan the barcode on the extinguisher, mark as pass/fail and move on to the next one. Their inspection doesn't quite work as seaemlessly as that.

Commentaires : We have always had a Preventive Maintenance program and the software allows us to continue with keeping our PM schedule and tracking equipment history of repairs and Work Orders.

Avantages :

This software is very robust with features that you can use or not. It will just depend on the size of your organization and how much information you want to include when you are doing your implementation. There are areas I do not use due to other software packages that are in our organization. Customer support has been very good. We had time to get the feel of Asset Essentials before we migrated to it. The migration from our old software to Asset Essentials was seamless.

Inconvénients :

At this time I do not really have a lot of cons. Maybe the help guide, it is a bit over whelming when you want to look for a specific subject.

Commentaires : Overall the system meets our needs and what we are trying to accomplish. I would like to see better reports so that I can "fine tune" my team and trends.
Also on the original setup I was suppose to have unlimited storage, then they came back and said it would be "limited." There was also only one version of AE when I signed up, then the added AEE and wanted to change pricing. I was able to work out the issues, but still not exactly what was promised in the beginning.

Avantages :

I like the support availability and the ease of use. There are still areas where I think they can improve on, one being the mobile app (android/iphone).

Inconvénients :

Pulling certain reports and asset history is not user friendly. I have tried to work with them on multiple reports and it is always a nightmare of finding something that will work.

Asset Essentials Review

Avantages :

I like the easy use of all aspects of this software. From the adding users to the work tickets. We also utilize the parts portion for inventory and tools.

Inconvénients :

The mobile app is my least favorite. We have had issue after issue with the app kicking people out throughout the day, not just work tickets, but to the client ID. Since we have authenticator licensing, we need to also fill out that information each time. It is very frustrating.

Commentaires : Generally very satisfied with this software.

Avantages :

It is easy to use and is intuitive. Customer service has been very helpful when needed.

Inconvénients :

The data export function (Asset Essentials Connector)did not allow me to export data from multiple tables at the same time. I would need to export fields from two or more tables separately, then combine the fields in to one table afterwards. This did not satisfy my needs and as a result, I could not create the proper reports for my superiors.

Avantages :

i like not having to write on paper . Also like the options with material purchases and recording the information. just seems like it should have been this way for the last 25 years.

sometimes it runs REAL slow. Has not happened for awhile but when it happens its time to go home .

Commentaires : We converted over from MP2 and utilize Asset Essentials for tracking machine repairs and for scheduling of preventive maintenance.

Avantages :

The software platform is easy to use. I also like that it has a mobile app that allows me to access the program from anywhere

Inconvénients :

I do not like the network lag as it adds several seconds to each step, making it rather time consuming for my team to use

Commentaires : Overall I have loved my experience with Asset Essentials. We are a small company and don't even use the program to its full potential, however it is customizable to cover all our needs to track all types of maintenance, scheduling, assets. The customer service has been a great experience any time I have had issues. No complaints here!

Avantages :

How easy it is to use this product, and how it fit all of our needs. Very customizable

Inconvénients :

Improving how to look at meters, and hours between reads without having to go find the asset, the last read, and do the math to see how many hours something has ran would be nice.

The connector tools seems to be broken. I have had several issue with this . Seems there needs to be some fixes and development completed

Organize with ease

Commentaires : I liked the preventative maintenance tools, because they made me aware of when I may need to replace or service something. Also, to prepare for the cost to replace something.

Avantages :

The fact that it made me a lot more organized in a lot of different ways.

It was a little confusing at first as to what was an asset & what was not.

Great Value for Small Manufacturing Plants

Commentaires : Overall it was easy to use and easy to set up

Avantages :

Work orders are thorough and give a good history of cost, supplier, actual repairs. Being able to attach invoices, etc. is a great help.

Inconvénients :

I found trying to schedule preventative maintenance difficult. It never calendared out as expeccted and always caught us off guard. Took a little while to figure out hierarchy for setting up assets. Having someone walk us through initial set up would have been helpful.
