CLIO for Efficiency

5,0 il y a 9 mois

Commentaires : Overall I see much more pros than cons. It is absolutely worth the money. I have been able to restructure certain areas of the firm to be more effective and our production has been going up annually since using CLIO.

Avantages :

Ease of use, e-signing with ease, invoices can be unique to our firm with templates for each client, cleaning up others time entries are simple as admin, and it just overall makes my job more efficient and enjoyable.

Inconvénients :

It needs work on adding my state laws and guidelines into the calendar. For example if I have a CT slip and fall case, it would be nice if the calendar prompted me to enter all my scheduling order dates, remind me when discovery is due per statute, etc… also an in office chat feature would be nice too! When we save emails from outlook the organization is not helpful for some attorneys and we cannot edit that. Also we need AI integrations!

Stonewalled by tech support.

2,0 il y a 3 mois

Commentaires : It can be slow in spite of our high-speed Internet, they changed the names of their pricing levels and then pushed his into a low pricing level so they don't have to provide us with certain product upgrades (the old switcheroo!), and tech-support stonewalls us.

Avantages :

It's one of the more widely used software so if you're hiring new legal staff, they might have had some exposure to it. At times they can be responsive to requests make helpful changes to the product but mostly, you get stonewalled.

Inconvénients :

Well, there are several things. We have to pay for an extra license for our bookkeeper to use the product and other software companies don't do that -it's a hidden cost. Necessary product upgrades take long with Clio and some functionality is lacking For example, Clio was far behind the competition to include an effective client portal (they started with one that was not user-friendly at all) and although they are making improvements with it, it's still is not up to par and its functionality compared to other case management software systems. We paid extra for use of their CRM called Clio Grow and its a primitive software compared to Salesforce, Hubs, monday sale CRM, pipedrive, etc. It lacks functionality like texting your potential clients. It only partially integrates with the case management portion of Clio. Worst of all, after setting up a document template in Clio Grow for client intake with our office (30 people), Clio restricted some of the functionality of that document making it even more awkward, to the point where it's unusable for us. It would've been simple to fix it and change the functionality back to the way it was just a few days ago but, I got stonewalled. No one's responding.

Do yourself a favor: sign up with Clio! You will not regret it.

5,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Commentaires : We are never going back to other platforms. Other "attorney centric" solutions for document management, client relationship management, timekeeping and billing are LESS intuitive and MORE expensive.

Avantages :

Clio is intuitive and provides excellent document management, client relationship management, timekeeping and billing all in one platform for a reasonable price with no long term commitments.

Inconvénients :

On occasion Clio will have glitches - connectivity issues. When that happens, we're at a standstill. Fortunately, it doesn't occur often, and when it does it is short lived.

Great Product!

5,0 il y a 11 mois

Commentaires : I have used CLIO at two other firms and brought it on to Story Law. Was the best decision we ever made. Saves us administrative time which in turn promotes productivity and profit.

Avantages :

We love that we have all data, participants, documents, contacts, email/communication journaling, calendaring all in one place. The mobile app is great for on the go use and tracking time when you are away from the office. The client portal is a great tool for tracking what the client has provided and what is still needed. The time Clio saves us in administrative work has been invaluable.

Inconvénients :

Mapping with Quick Books does not match up the best. Some of the integrations are still work in progress. No integration with MyPleadings.

Not a good product

1,0 il y a 4 mois

Commentaires : I was misled in the sales call and they talked me into purchasing Grow. Boy, what a mistake! Grow is a product that promises to automate the intake experience but does not work as advertised at all. The tech support seems unable to figure out the problems I am having, and paying for premium support was one more waste of money.

Avantages :

Manage makes it easy to send bills and get paid electronically. It can maintain files and track time.

Inconvénients :

Grow is a useless product that doesn't really work, and premium tech support is a waste of money.

It Doesn't Get Better Than Clio!

5,0 il y a 12 mois

Commentaires : My experience with CLIO (both the product and the company) has been phenomenal. I have zero complaints. Clio is the foundation of our client management system and is therefore essential to running my organization. Beyond the product itself, Clio's customer service is next level. The staff are friendly, competent, and client-focused. In the several years I have been interacting with Clio staff (in-person and virtually) I have NEVER been treated like a number, dismissed, or ignored. If the representative I am working with cannot address the issue, they hand me off to someone who can. This speaks volumes to the character of the staff and the quality of the company itself.

Avantages :

What is not to LOVE about Clio? The platform itself is intuitive, efficient, and has become essential to effectively running my organization. Even features that have not been particularly relevant to my practice (non-profit sector) have either already been updated to be more relevant (Clio for Legal Aid) or are in the process of being updated. Beyond the practicalness of the product itself, Clio is a company that is visably devoted to their staff, clients, and mission. Passion for the practice of law is one thing, passion for the humans who choose to practice law is another. Clio's client-centered approach sets them apart from their competition in this regard.

Inconvénients :

We have been using an ACCESS Database to process our claims (non-profit sector) for more than two decades. I would love to use the billing/invoice features offered through Clio but, they are not yet granular enough to fully transition us out of ACCESS.

Clio was the best investment I made in the early days of my law firm

5,0 il y a 12 mois

Commentaires : My overall experience has been great. I was in an incubator program with other attorneys starting their own practice and, because I have Clio, I didn't have the struggles with tracking and billing that my peers had. I am glad I started using Clio when I only had a few clients because I have been able to learn as my firm has gown.

Avantages :

Clio makes it so easy to track of all the things that are important to me: potential clients, active clients, attorney time, billing, firm financial goals, etc. Even when my solo practice was just a side-hustle, Clio Manage more than paid for itself in time-savings and ease of use. Clio customer service has been excellent - the live help is really easily accessible for setup and problem-solving; the online articles and videos are great for on-demand help.

Inconvénients :

There is a lot of functionality in Clio that I don't use yet - there is so much that I could be doing with it, but it is hard to make time for the next new thing when I am also running a law firm. There are some add-ons that are marketed as having connectivity to/ compatibility with Clio that are redundant and don't make sense for my practice: for, example, QuickBooks will talk to Clio but the billing and tracking were redundant with what was already happening in Clio (I already billed through clio and I didn't need to do it through QB; and I can categorize spending through my actual bank accounts, so I didn't need it to do that, either). The only thing QB did that Clio didn't *already do* was deal with (part of) payroll for my one assistant (then I found out QB was incorrectly calculating my state worker comp amounts and I dumped QB and got a bookkeeper to help with my employee needs).

Clio helps keep my law practice organized and productive

5,0 il y a 12 mois

Commentaires : Overall, I am very glad I selected Clio as my law firm's practice management system. When I was in the selection stage, I knew I wanted a system that would be worth the price, if it streamlined processes and eliminated, where possible, redundant steps. Clio was the best option I found, along with it being recommended by so many state bars and having what I found was the most amount of third party API integrations. They also seem, based on my research, to being committed to improving the product and keeping it relevant. Anytime I needed technical support, friendly and knowledgeable staff resolved my issue. I do not believe I was oversold in the capabilities of Clio and am glad I chose to go with them!

Avantages :

Clio can be used as a a sole "source of truth" for managing a law practice. I am able to create many automatic workflows with Clio Grow that seamlessly transition to Clio Law Practice Management. It has nearly all the features I need, built into the Clio Complete package.

Inconvénients :

I wish I could upload videos larger than 25GB, as I have police bodycams and dashcams I need saved. It would be amazing if I could view these inside Clio, a la Dropbox or Office 365 functionality, so I didn't have to download the video file each time I wanted to watch it (or alternatively keep the file on my computer, due to limited disk space). I wish my VOIP integration was natively integrated, rather than relying on a Chrome extension to connect Clio and my VOIP system. I am however, appreciative that Clio maintains the Chrome extension as it has eliminated much time manually inputting texts/phone calls into my billing system.

Commentaires : I have been a user since Clio was a baby and have always loved it and have recommended it to many other legal professionals!

Avantages :

Fast and easy and everything we need is all in one place.

Inconvénients :

There is no way to send one document that is both an invoice and a trust request so that you can show clients where their money has gone and how much they need to send in to replenish their trust again.

Great Platform!

4,0 il y a 12 mois

Commentaires : It's been great, overall! It's a bit time-consuming and tedious to use a platform as robust as Clio, but I think that would be true of any such platform. On the whole, I believe Clio is the best platform of its kind.

Avantages :

I like Clio's overall reliability and functionality. It's great for firms of virtually all sizes. Also, every time I have interacted with any member of the Clio team, they have been nothing but helpful and friendly! They're a pleasure to work with.

Inconvénients :

Clio Payments *still* doesn't offer a "Buy Now / Pay Later" option, though their primary competitor, LawPay, does. Additionally, there are some weird invoicing issues that crop up in admittedly rare use cases. Finally, Clio Grow and Clio Manage don't work as seamlessly together as one might hope, and there aren't enough integrations with third party apps, sites, and services (Legal Match comes to mind, among others).
