ODAC Evaluation - Excellent

Commentaires : Very challenging to switch from FireDAC due to lack of full compatibility.

Avantages :

Direct access without the need for OCI and SSH tunnel connection

Inconvénients :

t's not entirely compatible with FireDAC, requiring adaptation and even preventing any migration of existing Delphi software already created using FireDAC. Apparently, it does not provide a means to connect to Oracle Autonomous Database (security/tls) in the form of direct access.

Avantages :

It features easy API calls for creating, managing, and querying Oracle database objects from several programming platforms. I used it with PHP and C#.Net but can also be used in Java, C++, and Python.

Inconvénients :

It takes some time to grasp the concepts so the steep learning curve is a bit restrictive for students and beginners.

In the program I developed with Delphi XE, I integrated it as a Component that is very compatible with Oracle database. I've been using more than 2. I am very pleased. Easy setup. Easy integration.

As a software developer working in Turkey, the USD price is high. Other than that, I have no problems.

Avantages :

Very simple access to a database that use ODBC very very difficult to use

No cons to report. Sometimes it may be a little slow

Einfache und schnelle Benutzung

Commentaires : Ich löse mit den Oracle Data Access Components meinen Zugriff auf Oracle-Tabellen. Ich sehe den Vorteil in der direkten Verbindung und muss nicht über einen Oracle-Client gehen.

Avantages :

Sehr benutzerfreundlich. Die Komponenten habe ich schon sehr lange in Gebrauch.

Inconvénients :

Nachteile habe ich bis jetzt noch keine gefunden.
