Commentaires : It helps to document work for different reasons like proof of testing, documentation, sending feedback, etc. It helps to organize and edit your screenshots for further use.

Avantages :

For me, the best feature of Greenshot is making a screen of the whole web page, which could be very long in some cases. Standard options built-in Windows don't give as much flexibility as this free tool.

Inconvénients :

I understand it is free, but after the installation, it always opens a web browser with a Greenshot donation page. This feature cannot be disabled, and it is problematic for mass deployments where we don't want to disturb the users.

Avantages :

Greenshot allows to capture, edit and share screenshots quickly. It works on different operations systems. Hotkeys are customizable for a different functions, which makes work fast and efficient.

Inconvénients :

Greenshot doesn't allow to record videos.

Greenshot is a powerful tool to capture screenshots, edit images and share with colleagues. Great tool.

Inconvénients :

I did not encounter any issues with Greenshot.

If you can't afford Snagit, this is the next best option.

Commentaires : It's a great free tool that does EXACTLY what it says it does, no more, no less. If you need a quick free tool for grabbing screenshots, I cannot recommend Greenshot highly enough!

Avantages :

Greenshot is a barebones tool that allows you to capture screens and images quickly and easily.

Inconvénients :

It does not offer the level of manipulation that Snagit provides. While it is an excellent free tool, the value that Snagit offers is worth the price.

Best I have found - and FREE!

Commentaires : I use this pretty much every day. It is set to run at StartUp and so it is instantly available. I have been using it for many years and recommend it to everyone who is looking for screenshot editing. Simple to use and great results. Couldn' live without it and no need to go looking for an alternative. And it is free.

Avantages :

I have mapped my "prt scr" key to Greenshot so it is my default screen capture function. It is way better than the Windows offerings - and many of the paid options out there. It is so simple to use and it has a ton of extra features that add so much functionality I can do everything I need to do. I love the obfuscate feature so that I can blur out personal data from screenshots - and at different pixel values. Lots of drawing and writing tools to allow full annotation. It accesses all installed fonts on the machine. Save the edited screenshot as .gif, .jpp, .tiff, .png - and to it's native format for further editing later. Screenshots can also been saved directly in to MS Office apps - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Inconvénients :

I have found nothing that I don't like about the product. Fully documented so easy to find answers to questions. One thing that I can't control is the size of the icons in the interface. Just a tad on the small side for me but a minor inconvenience compared to the masses of functionality provided.

Good Screen Capture Tool

Avantages :

I like the fact that the app is almost invisible and does not consume your screen space. It is very easy to trigger with key shortcut. Captures are fair quality plus you have some basic editing functionalities at hand.

Inconvénients :

In my opinion captures quality could be better

Commentaires : Poter catturare immagini e salvare screenshot è utilissimo e frequente in più contesti. Spesso bisogna farlo con molta rapidità ed in situazioni di stress. Il grande vantaggio di Greenshot è la facilità e la velocità con cui l'operazione viene eseguita, in quanto il programma permette di eseguire l'operazione con così tanta scioltezza e disinvolura da risultare quasi piacevole.

Avantages :

E' un programma molto leggero, reattivo e semplice da utilizzare. Tramite il movimento del mouse, le aree di schermo che si desidera catturare possono essere individuate, ritagliate e salvate in modo rapidissimo e completamente user friendly. Il prodotto dispone anche di un editor d'immagini interno balsilare ma efficace ed esiste anche in versione portabile (che non necessita l'installazione vera e propria sul pc). La qualità delle immagini salvate, a mio avviso, è eccellente ed, attualmente, noto che nelle ultime versioni è stata introdotta anche un integrazione non invasiva col Social Network Imgur (al fine di poterlo utilizzare, in caso di necessità, come repository esterno addizionale).

Inconvénients :

Quando lo si installa si auto-configura nei programmi che partono all'avvio di Windows. Benchè sia un programma molto utile e leggero, a mio avviso, non ha molto senso che sia sempre attivo in quanto è preferibile disabilitarlo dall'avvio automatico del pc ed avviarlo on demand solo quando serve.

Commentaires : Greenshot è per me un compagno di lavoro. Anche quando adotto un nuovo computer, una delle prime installazioni è Greenshot che non deve mancare.

Avantages :

Greenshot is so very easy to use! With one click all the possibilites are within reach. When you dive a little deeper you will notice that it has so many more functions than you initially expect.

I do not really have any remarks regarding Greenshot. It is a produc that does what you expect of it.

Love at first screenshot

Commentaires : Greenshot is not just better than innate screenshot tools, but easier and more powerful. I use this little application a dozen times a day to communicate efficiently via screen shots. Also, when annotating the screenshot the highlighter tools and shape tools make it look professional and clean. Unlike Windows Snip where the mouse leaves you looking like a 5-yr old drew on the directions.

Avantages :

The obscure tool allows me to quickly and easily show my tech support team what's going on, without the hassle of encrypted mail, because I can obscure all PHI in moments.

Inconvénients :

There's nothing I don't like about this software.

Das Tool Greenshot macht einen sehr guten Gesamteindruck, für die Bearbeitung von Screenshots. Sowohl die Nummerierung als auch die Markierung von Inhalten funktioniert super und ist sehr user-freundlich. Wir benutzen das Tool, da es von einem Kollegen empfohlen wurde, es ist kostenlos und bisher gabs keine Probleme.

Essential utility software for Windows PC

Commentaires : As in the title I think it's essential tool in business and in private life. There are a lot of use cases where you need to capture part of the screen to show something and share it, or just for yourself. I use it everyday. It makes it fast and not as frustrating as using the default print screen key.

Avantages :

I have to have it installed on every PC with Windows. I think it's the only application I rated the highest, it's so helpful. Usually I use it to quickly capture part of the screen and it saves it for me on the desktop. Sometimes I send the captured images directly to printer or Dropbox. If I want to explain something to someone I send it to Paint and mark the points. The best thing is that all of those functions can be used with 1-2 clicks. Fast and easy, zero frustrations.

Inconvénients :

I can't point at anything I wouldn't like in Greenshot. The options programmed into it seem to be carefully planned and are very useful.

Amazing Free Product

Commentaires : Absolutely fantastic. I have used this software for many years. Free to download, easy to install, configures itself to the print screen button, an excellent range of editing tools. The quick images I can take and annotate make communicating with users so much easier than explaining instructions in long wordy emails. Simply paste in the annotated screenshots to the email and users understand so much better how to do things. Excellent!

Avantages :

I cannot believe this product is free. It helps me communicate instructions and to highlight issues to any user who is need of support. I can press print screen and easily grab an image, highlight areas and annotate. Even more significant is the option to blur text. This is critical to maintain privacy in some images.

Inconvénients :

There are no known negatives to this product. Of course, it would be extra special if it was to provide a screen recording option.

Greenshot Review - Online user guide creator's best friend

Avantages :

Greenshot integrates very well with Windows and has many configurable options to streamline what you want to do with your screenshots. I really enjoy the ability to use modifying keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) to take different types of screenshots within the same program. Cursor capture is great when creating tutorial where you want to have clear indication of where to click. Magnification of the capture cursor provides precise control of the capture regions. The simple editing features are just enough to get additional edits in without needing additional software.

Inconvénients :

Don't really have anything about this software that I don't like.

Best Screenshot Software

Commentaires : So much better than Snip and Sketch or Snipping Tool. Several more editing options, plus the ability to import directly into a JIRA ticket or into an Outlook email saves time. Working in Tech Support, it is great to be able to screenshot a user's screen and then be able to make notes with arrows and circles explaining what is needed. Using Greenshot instead of Snip and Sketch has saved me time and headaches.

Avantages :

Were easy to capture a full screenshot or a partial one. The editing option comes with several different options. You can draw arrows, circle items, highlight, add a text box and a lot more. You can also easily send the screenshot directly to Office apps.

Inconvénients :

One feature that Snip and Sketch has that Greenshot does not, is the ability to delay the screenshot for 3 or 10 seconds. Not a feature that I use frequently, but there are times it would be nice to delay the screenshot. Also it would be nice to do video captures. We use a different piece of software to do video screenshots.

Easy to use

Avantages :

very easy to use, reduces the steps it takes for me to take and edit screenshots. Lots of options to capture screens and regions.

Inconvénients :

Figuring out where to find the app in the system tray took a bit of time but once I found it, it was easy to use

Best Desktop Screenshot Software

Commentaires : I started using it long time ago, when I needed screenshot app for my pc. And after all that years I'm still using it. Software is so productive, all you need to do is open it and click on icon down. Then you just pick what you want it to do for you, click and bam. It asks you where to save/upload, it is finished.

Avantages :

It is light app, easy to use, fast, do job that need to do. All that Greenshot contain is enough to make it perfect experience, very worth!

Inconvénients :

There is no cons, maybe just if on web it could automatically detect pictures, yet it detect but not every time.

Greenshot - Lightweight and unintrusive

Commentaires : Greenshot has been and will be my go to software for screen capture. Hopefully it will only improve with time.

Avantages :

Greenshot is super easy to use. The keyboard shortcuts are easy to remember. It consumes little RAM and CPU.

Inconvénients :

When capturing content, it isn’t stored in the “clipboard” as in i cannot screenshot something and immediately paste it into an email.

Screenshots made ridiculously easy

Commentaires : It's been fantastic! I love how easy it is to grab whatever is on the screen and then mark it up to draw attention to the actual issue being depicted. It's made troubleshooting and documenting issues so, so, so much easier! I have highly recommended this product to many of my colleagues and have helped them install it as well.

Avantages :

The editing tools. There's an obfuscation tool that's incredibly helpful when troubleshooting issues for our end users so the opportunity to inadvertently share confidential information is dramatically reduced.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the editing tools seem to "stick" - you'll think you've clicked, confirming your editing action and then the box/arrow/area completely distorts and you have to do it all over again. It happens very infrequently so it's not terribly bothersome, but this is the thing I least like about the software.

Can't believe this software is free to use. It is very easy!
