Commentaires : eMaint has proven to be an invaluable tool for maintenance management and for providing reliability to equipment.
Avantages :
Ease of use and functionality to provide management to maintenance.
Inconvénients :
Customization process and data entry can be time and labor intensive.
Maintenance software for Absolute Energy
Commentaires : We have had our ups and downs, the group has always been good to work with but limited time on set up and implementation limited what we were able to accomplish, so this work continues. The team has been great.
Avantages :
The flexibility to tailor the system to our work flows. Ease of use. Ability to use the software from an advantage as maintenance. Many options and eMaint staff understand maintenance!
Inconvénients :
With all the options it is difficult to follow through the setup, Work flows may help stream line this process? Many of the eMaint personnel have better ideas and experience that we did not know going into the process of migrating from another system. This changed are procedures for the better but a lot of group brainstorming has been needed to specify our needs.
Alternatives envisagées : Fiix
Pourquoi choisir eMaint CMMS : We needed more power in the hands of our technicians, operators, purchasing, planning, and management staff. I want personnel to be in the knowing of as much as I can using a program like eMaint. Our old system did well with purchasing and was designed by a group that understood purchasing, I need a system that does all the aspects of asset management, planning work, and maintenance!
Logiciel antérieur : MAPCON
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : eMaint met our needs, seemed the easiest for our technicians to navigate and worked with our team to set up an invoicing reconciliation step allocating shipping/tax to the items previously received! This was done at a cost to us but the most important item is that it met a need we had that most maintenance systems do not include.
Outstanding Process, Customer Friendly, Magnificent Support
Commentaires : I have been using a CMMS program for 32 years. I researched over 100 CMMS programs before selecting eMAINT. I have used eMAINT for 16 years on over 20 different sites.
Avantages :
The program allows the user to control all facets of the program. I can build my own templates adding or deleting fields. I can even add fields that the CMMS has not pre-built. Data can automatically transfer from one template to another to simplify and speed up the technicians administrative work load. I can self generate reports on any topic at any time. I can keep management informed with out their having to even log into eMAINT. Mass changes are simple to make. I can change 100 work orders from one technician to another in less than two (2) minutes. I have the ability using Work Order Management to generate actions based on preset parameters that will occur with our my having to monitor the system day to day. With the ability to set parameters on every filed I can assure that human error can be removed form the equation. The one on one support team is outstanding. I have called them 100's of times. Their ability to assit the customer is immediate and professional. In my 16 yeas of using eMAINT, I have had less than 12 times that the issue was not solved before I hung up the phone. The support team has always gone above and beyond in providing assistance.
Inconvénients :
The process of stacking preventive maintenance schedules is time consuming. the mobile app is not included in the basic cost of the program.

Waste of Money
Commentaires : Bad from the start
Avantages :
There really wasn't anything about this that I thought was good. From the initial sales which obviously wasn't clear to the final canceling of the product
Inconvénients :
Everything was additional including and detailed client training of the system.

David thanks for taking the time to write a review and sharing your experience with the product. We do have many areas where customers can continue to learn how to use the product which includes eMaint University, chat online support, email, and phone support should customers need help. All of the support features mentioned are included for all customers. If someone is looking to do a bootcamp trainings there is an additional cost for those since they are multiple day trainings.
Great CMMS Software
Commentaires : Implementation was as easy as it could be for a CMMS. I use it everyday to manage work orders, PM, and assets. Reports are completely customizable and customer service is always there to help. It can be tied to other software using APIs which is pretty cool.
Avantages :
I like that all functions of the software are available to users from day one. You don't have to pay extra for any features. Customer support is very responsive and loves to help customize the software to each users needs.
Inconvénients :
There isn't anything I don't like about it.
Alternatives envisagées : UpKeep
Pourquoi choisir eMaint CMMS : The amount of features and ease of use eMaint provides made the switch worth it.
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : I don't remember the name of all of the other products I demoed but eMaint was by far the best. It offered all the functions of the others without having to pay extra. It is 100% customizable. Fluke offers great training opportunities for my team as well.
Best CMMS System Bar None
Commentaires : I have done two implementations with eMaint at two different companies and several other implemenations in my 36 years previous past experience. eMaint is by far the best product and team that i have ever worked with and I look forward to continue this relationship until I retire!
Avantages :
eMaint is flexible and easy to use, it reporting and workflow function make it extremely valuable in make the data gathered accessible and actionable. This along with the fluke connectivity make it the most user friendly and powerful maintenance tool in the box ! I have been in Maintenance for 36 years and this is the best system i have ever used, customer service is the best out there and the team is awesome!
Inconvénients :
Sometimes the the system does get a bit confusing going between tasks but the team has been working out these bugs.
Alternatives envisagées : IBM Maximo Application Suite et MSB Docs
Pourquoi choisir eMaint CMMS : Changed companies and needed to implement a CMMS system, Maximo could not beat eMaint on service product or price.
Logiciel antérieur : IBM Maximo Application Suite
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : Service, quality and price were all in eMaints favor.
The best CMMS system I’ve used
Commentaires : eMaint was the best choice for our facility My experience has been outstanding
Avantages :
Easy to use. Having the ability to design my own work order to track the data that works best for our business
Inconvénients :
Charrs in x4 are not very robust looking at move to x5 to solve this problem. There is nothing I dislike about eMaint
Alternatives envisagées : SAP Concur
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : I purchased eMaint 14 years and it was the cost and ability to design my own forms
Good product. Poor customer support
Commentaires : Takes time to learn to use. Creating charts is not intuitive. Quite tricky.
Avantages :
Had a lot of features though not always obvious.
Inconvénients :
The local customer support is the worse I've ever experienced
Alternatives envisagées : PEMAC Assets et Agile CRM
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : Lower initial cost
Working with eMaint as a Preventative Maintenance Supervisor
Avantages :
It is great to finally have one maintenance management software to manage Reactive/Emergency Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Machine Shop Requests, and Inventory Management all in one.
Inconvénients :
The one thing I do not like about this system is the mobile app for my technicians. There are too few search options and the scrolling through work orders can be very tiresome. If there was a possibility to have more than one column, there would not be so much scrolling. It is an annoyance that all of my techs complain about. Most of my 14 techs end up printing out their work orders, throwing away all of the unnecessary pages of rows that do not concern them. We were hoping to get away from printing so much paper with this new system. As few as 3 columns, would allow my techs to view the entire work order in one view with minimal scrolling.
Having a great database with a poor human interface is like having an ultra-fit body with a bad heart.
Avantages :
eMaint tracks the data needed to make good decisions. The user interface is highly customizable. I have used many CMMS systems this is definitely not the worst.
Inconvénients :
The graphical user interface misses many of the features taken for granted by users such as putting your cursor into the search box you just opened. There is not logic to the flow of the forms presented. Tab order does not skip irreverent widgets. You have to perform many useless / wasted steps to process your work orders. The software relies on end users to perform much of the tedious tasks that you wish the computer could do for you. Two thirds of our data entry time is due to wasted steps. This software exports three file formats and imports three file formats. The import can not read any of the formats exported. On import most of the field names exported can not be recognized by this software.
Functional and Useful, But Needs Many Improvements
Commentaires : It's been good in that it's been functional. I wish that eMaint offered personnel that can help the implementation process to gather data from plant equipment manuals on manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules.
Avantages :
I appreciate the new user interface and it's useful functions
Inconvénients :
I least like how inexperienced the customer support team is on certain tasks. For example for a long time certain support staff told me that you couldn't have a field that populates the Asset Description into the PM form. Later a support staff made it happen. Just wish it wouldn't have waited so long.
Positive feedback
Commentaires : Its too early to have a full ROI on the program, but I will say accountability and priorities have have been identified. I look forward to reflecting back on this after a year or six months of usage.
Avantages :
Emaint did a great job with the setup and implementation. I am now in the stages directly after that stage and am on my own. The help desk is great. Send them a quick message and they reply via chat very quickly and efficiently. I love the dashboards. It allows me a quick glance at the projects and I can make decisions on what is a priority.
Inconvénients :
I would allow for alerts like numbers showing up under "Work Order Requests". Sometimes i over look it as its a area where I only go if needed. It wold be nice to have a counter showing I have new requests in. Clean up the Work Order print out. I would want to make a better form.
Alternatives envisagées : MPulse
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : I was looking for something that was intuitive and also had a sleek look. People are more likely to utilize a product if it looks good. Emaint was not the cheapest, however I was willing to pay more for a good product.
Great software
Commentaires : Overall great software. All our team members got accustomed very quickly.
Avantages :
Very flexible to customize and helpful, quick responding customer support team. We frequently change form and work flow to meet our demand.
Inconvénients :
It doesn't matter actually but this software was developed with old programming language.
Alternatives envisagées : Fiix et UpKeep
Pourquoi passer à eMaint CMMS : Only eMaint had flexibility to meet several audit requirement.

Cardinal CG, Buford Georgia is one of 28 Cardinal Glass facilities manufacturing residential glass products. Upon my joining the Buford plant, the company had not made a profit in five years. The company lacked organization and was not producing product in an efficient manner. Our facility is unique to the other Cardinal plants, because we have two separate manufacturing processes running as separate cost centers. Because of the structure of the company, each cost center has separate support staff (i.e. maintenance, engineering and management).
In October 2008, I joined the Cardinal CG Buford location. As Tempering Maintenance Manager, I was challenged with turning the Tempering production side of the operation around. There was no CMMS system in place and no one was tracking the machine downtime. Safety was out of control; there were three accidents in my department in the first two weeks of my accepting the position. Vibration analysis reports were not being reviewed and costly failures were frequent.
The department had a shift log book, but the data was not in a format that could easily be put into a database. The Coating Maintenance department was using MP2 for their data collection. In an effort to get a CMMS up and running quickly, I acquired an additional license and began to enter data. After a week or two, I attempted retrieve some of the data in MP2, but the reporting feature had not been installed. I then contacted the CMMS vendor (Mp2) to inquire about reporting my data in the format needed.
After several conversations relating to the reporting within the CMMS, I was told that they could not provide the report that my boss had requested. I offered to purchase the reporting module, but no one attempted to follow up with my request. This is how the search for a new system began. Because my background and interest was in CMMS programs, I began my search on the Internet. I had followed various CMMS over the years, and realized that an investment in a CMMS program could be very costly. As I searched, indicators were leading me toward a cloud-based system.
The criteria for the CMMS was (1) support had to be readily available on all shifts and (2)the cost of implementation had to be low. One of my concerns was transferring the data from MP2 to the new database. Time to implement was critical also. I had to drive the downtime down. My selection came down to E-Maint X3 . The product demo offered online provided all of the initial answers to the questions that would come forth during a selection process for a CMMS. Because it is a subscription-based system, the cost to implement is very low.
The implementation of EMaint was simple and very fast. I had total control of the implementation process. The transfer of the data files went without a hitch. I cannot begin to express how well the transition went. One of the greatest strengths of E-Maint is the administrator can change any of the field names or report formats. Unlike other programs where there is a fee each time you make a change to the program, E-Maint allows you to format your database to suit your industry. E-Maint is not just another canned product that you take as-is.
Of course when you mention a web based program, management initially will push back because they do not want employees to access the Web. I suggested to E-Maint that they setup an email address for work requests to dump into and then pull the data to a work request form. This has proven to be the answer to get around issues with accessing the Internet. E-Maint provides all of the security levels needed to prevent just anyone from accessing your data. Because of the ability to send request via email, all requests dump to my iPhone and I have put an iPhone on the department golf cart for quick response.
Because E-Maint is web-based, I could bring my crew into a conference room and review the program on a weekly basis. The training as a group lasted about 2 hours. The program is user-friendly and the subscription to E-Maint University has proven to assist the technicians in the use of the program.
Customer support for the product is second to none. In most cases all of my issues are resolved during the phone conversations. The only real problems that I have experienced with E-Maint are those that I caused myself because of the freedom to change the program. It only takes one phone call to straighten the issue out. Customer Support will provide you a direct line to a technician so that you can work with the same person and build the relationship necessary to help build confidence in the use of the CMMS.
Since implementation of E-Maint, we have continued to reduce machine downtime. Once the original CMMS database was functional we established a goal of 5% downtime or 95% UPTIME. Since the implementation of E-Maint we have established a goal of 98% UPTIME and have consistently hit 97.7% and at the time of the most current report we are at 99.34%.
Great CMMS Program with many use cases
Avantages :
The software comes "out of the box" ready to use on a base level. Customization of fields, forms, and functionality (through workflows and other means) is very simple and the customer support team is always there to help you implement your ideas and goals; outstanding team honestly. The system really excels in helping you track your assets and inventory in a very clean and organized way.
Inconvénients :
I have found that even though there is a LOT that can be done in the system to make it work for your specific application, there have been a few limitations in areas that I would have thought would be better. We are on X4 and its still based on their X3 system and certain parts put you back into X3 mode and it can be a little confusing at times, like in the pending POs section, and other parts of the purchasing area in general. There have also been some functionalities of the system that I would have thought would have been standard for workflows of the system but aren't, most though were able to be added to some degree. Also the formatting of reports is clunky and annoying at times; certainly improvements to be done with doing a betting "mass" report publish for things like monthly report and such.
Alternatives envisagées : Dynamics 365
Great out of-the-box solution to CMMS
Commentaires : Great overall experience from my past year and a half using the system, working with multiple CMMS, attending multiple in person training, and using their online training tools. I am always recommending eMaint to anyone that i think could benefit from a system of this caliber.
Avantages :
The software has all the basic features and functionalities that you need for a great CMMS program, that is adaptable and customization for many industries and demands. There is more in the system than i think most customers even take advantage of, but the customer support team has always been there to help brainstorm ideas and best practices for implementing the system to deliver what you need.
Inconvénients :
There are certain scenarios that the system can act a little glitchy at times in regards to the reports and report output into HTML/excel that can be frustrating, in terms of formatting not being adjustable and other quirks that you just have to accept. For example the excel reports only export as an excel 2003 doc, i mean come on that is sooo outdated, and then on top of that all the columns are tiny, and you have to manually drag them out each time, these are small annoyances. The HTML exported reports also have no page margins, so the table literally goes all the way to the edge of the page, making parts get cut off upon printing, and this is something that cant be adjusted in the system. There are other limits that the system can just not do for reporting that i wish it could. In general though, the bulk of my grips with the system are all reporting based, the system itself and its functionality and consistency with the base CMMS module is great and even the reporting is still great, just small improvements could be made to make it even better.
Multiple implementation in an FDA environment.
Commentaires : Overall, I have Very Happy with eMaint. Our use has continually expanded over the years to include Calibrations, FDA validation, and now multiple site operations..
Avantages :
The Things I like Most about the Software is it is Dependable and Functional. The software has been running here for 6 years. and it has not had a significant outage during that time. We have validated the software to be FDA compliant, and use it for our calibrations and Maintenance activities. eMaint's functionality is expansive. It is configurable it has options to accommodate physical plant, equipment, and fleet management. KPI Reporting is built into software and eMaint support has always been able to help with any basic setup issues (at no cost). Additionally ,There is 24 hour support for any issues included in the subscription.
Inconvénients :
The part of eMaint that was the most challenging for me was the Creation custom reports and sorts. IT seemed a little counter intuitive to me. With that being said the eMaint support team was always more tan accommodating in helping me work out any difficulties.
eMaint for daily tracking
Commentaires : Our overall experience with eMaint has been that it is easy to set up and very expandable to keep track of everything maintenance related.
Avantages :
We started using eMaint several years ago and the set up and integration went smoothly. Once our assets were in the system it was simple to establish PM's and condition inspections. We now use the software to plan, schedule and track all our PM's. These results generate corrective WO's along with department request for corrective or Emergency WO's. Safety also uses the system to track the inspection and condition of all of their assets, extinguishers, fire systems, emergency lights, Chlorine alarms and etc. We are beginning to use it to record and track age on critical components such as motors, gearboxes and etc. eMaint provides us with a simple easy to use program for all users to access information, print WO's and close them in a timely fashion While keeping the administrative side of the program secure.
Inconvénients :
I wish they had a phone app to make information accessible in the field. The only way to retrieve or enter information is on a computer. We are trying to capture more BOM and part info in the field to expand our use of the system.
Good implementation and great support for this product
Commentaires : I have had a good experience. They have done their best to implement a software solution that fits our needs and helped customize some features that help our user base,
Avantages :
Support is excellent if you have an issue or would like help customizing the software support is only a phone call away. Their support is US based and has years of experience with low turnover.
Inconvénients :
SSO is an older standard and needs updated security updated for requestor account.
Everything you will ever need
Commentaires : E-Maintenance has been a tremendous help in identifying equipment that is having the same issues that need to be addressed again and again. We now have a preventive maintenance program that helps us avoid unplanned down time.
Avantages :
E-Maintenance is a one stop shop. It has everything we need and so much more. I was amazed at how flexible and customizable the software is. They helped us customize several things to better fit with our companies needs. At first we were only using it to track assets, downtime, and labor cost. Now we are implementing parts and inventory control.
Inconvénients :
The reports are very powerful but they are very complicated to design. Thankfully there is always help just a phone call away.
A pup you train the way you want
Commentaires : I have used and implemented several CMMS systems. eMaint is my favorite and I would definitely look to use them again. The eMaint SaaS product is very competitively priced with some value-add learning materials beyond the CMMS in their eMaint University add-on.
Avantages :
Out of the box a lot of configuration is required with a lot of superuser flexibility to do it the way you want. X4 interface is visually pleasing and easy to navigate.
Inconvénients :
The current platform is X4 but there is a lot of legacy features from their X3 platform if you want to do more than the most basic of functions. eMaint are already marketing an X5 platform. I only hope they actually finish all of the features. To the above point, there is a few program features not done, or they took a half assed easy approach. PM forecast an example where you can forecast calendar based PMs only, feilds like average daily use exist out of the box so it should be readily possible to forecast hours based PMs. This request exists within their user forum. My company has a very particular way to receive goods and process invoices. eMaint has these as hard coded features not configurable.
eMaint CMMS
Commentaires : We are now tracking inventory, repairs, and maintenance hours.
Avantages :
Customer support Easy to customize to your company's needs
Inconvénients :
Don't have anything negative to say. This is a well thought out CMMS.
Solid and Dependable
Commentaires : Our overall experience has been nothing short of excellent. Customer care has always been very helpful. Form customization and automated processes has truly made this CMMS worthwhile.
Avantages :
The granularity and customization with which I can filter for information are great. I can get the full picture of the work that is being done with just a few clicks. The automated processes make us much more efficient and accurate in record keeping.
Inconvénients :
There are some features that are difficult to use without training which is offered by Fluke. If you are a large organization this isn't a big deal but as a small business the cost of comprehensive training is outside of budget.
Best customer and technical support
Commentaires : What I like the most about eMaint is not only great web-based application but best customer and technical support.
Avantages :
eMaint is web-based so it can be accessed from anywhere. It is also easy to maintain and add new modules such as Material Requests and Interactive Plans according to our business needs without extra cost.
Inconvénients :
We have been using eMaint X4 version for last 3 years and looking forward to upgrading to X5 but it takes longer than I expected for X5 to be fully compatible to all X4 features.
eMaint CMMS Review
Avantages :
The best functionality of eMaint is its flexibility and customization. I've been able to tailor it so that is suits our departments activities, responsibilities, and operations. That customization is a major function of the superior customer service at eMaint, starting but certainly not ending with the rep. She is responsive, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with.
Inconvénients :
We use the scheduler module each and every week, there could be so much more done with it to enhance its ease of use.
